I am still rocking this case. Planning on changing up from watercooled 9900k and 3080 to a 7800x3d and 4090 in a few weeks. Same radiators as ever (420 up top, 280 at bottom with the XPSC 170 reservoir/pump combo) still going strong. This case is a legend.
Happy and excited to say that I've finally (after almost a year of deliberating) pulled the trigger on my $3500 build! Because of this video, I went with the enthoo primo. Can't wait to get all my pieces in tomorrow and bring the beast to life!
I love that you give honest reviews and point out everything that you find faulty with your products. A lot of other tech channels that I watch are more than happy to overhype or flat out skip over problems to keep a good relationship with the vendors. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for introducing me to this brand and what I hope is a case I will love forever! So excited to have this case as the starting point for my new build!
Knight Templar Generally speaking.... Corsair has been the main company to offer cases that offers the best water-cooling up till this point. I own a 900D Just recently downsized to another Corsair Case .. Personally, both this and the 900D are mainly meant for water Cooling, but if someone was a Die hard Air Cooling person... I'd recommend the 900D... Water Cooling this is the case.
u guys really know how to review a case, u are the one who reveal the true identity of the case with true pros and cons plus very very awesome camera work
This is the most flexible case I have seen lately as well. The slots instead of holes for fans is much needed in the top is much needed. I personally think there may have been to many 5.25" bays? I only use two at most for a reservoir but because this case has so many places for other reservoirs as well I almost fell like they could take them out all together. Great review and will definitely be looking into this case for a future build!
I'm not into custom WC stuff, but this case have a lot of nice features that most of us would want to see in a ATX/Mid ATX case. Great review as always, and thanks for being aware of my previous comment about plugging the power cables in the video card, you´re the best =)
Man ! Your reviews are AWESOME . So many details, so many good shots... and I like how you took my critique for using word "so" too many times in video and improved. As for the case - I love how it looks, but it is a bit overkill for me, as I do not plan water cooling. Though I can't wait for something as standard full tower from them with silence and full set of features in mind. Price is not an issue, as long as I get everything exactly how i want it. I hope they make more cases
Wow....This was the most professional review I´ve seen. I have two Corsair 800D´s at home...(Business & Pleasure). But this looks so awsome. Great camera work!
Pre-ordered this case about 2weeks ago. Ive been following Phanteks for a while now and this case just made me go crazy. Im thinking about getting 2 and painting 1 in a pearl white with a RGB led strip instead of the blue one!
Probably the most water-cooling friendly, best wire management case I have ever seen. Keeping a clutter free, highly upgradable system is what this is all about. Awesome job. I wish I got this over my 800D... :(
I just bought this. I can't wait. I've had an NZXT H440 for quite some time and I have run out of building room in it. This should be big enough to meet my needs. :)
nothing short of amazing, so much attention to details from the adjustable fan slots to the velcro in the back. this is what sets godly cases from the ordinary. phanteks, make an micro atx or m-itx please!
Fuck Enthoo Primo, I've been waiting for the white version for months now and still it's not available, also a percentage of those who got their hands on it complain about poor quality and reaching them with broken tips and other defections, and to add to that the price of the black one just sky rocketed on Amazon.com. I'm done, I'll just get my ass a white NZXT H630 or Phantom.
Since a 900D costs about 400 dollars here in Australia and this 310 (might be able to purchase it for 280 dollars with a different retailer) i see a clear winner.
Just to give you an idea of size, I am running 3 x 1080ti's in this setup(not for gaming before you freak out, for rendering with octane gpu renderer) and with a water-cooled cpu, and two corsair 850w psu. This thing is a beast, and very versatile. I friggin love this case... best looking case I have ever owned with a rog z370 - e led motherboard and corsair rgb fans on top and back over the radiators. Seriously sick. My fellow Canadian's review complaint about not having room for long cards because of the reservoir cover is not a problem as it is removable in about 1 min, I am not kidding either, designed with large thumbscrews you don't even need a screwdriver for. one of my cards i am using is a msi aero (really long founders type version, but seriously longer then any gpu card I have ever seen), and it fits fine once you remove the extra cover for the reservoir which is optional to help hide it, but not needed. My other two cards are zotac 1080ti amped cards. Seriously, best case i have ever seen for not insane price. Considering the competing cases that Iooked at that could also pull of 3 1080ti's and 2 psu were about 1000 dollars, or at least $500 or more USD. I don't think I could have asked for a better case for my particular setup. Just forget about it fitting under most desks, it is a monolith of a case.
The official site has an image of radiator support and a 280mm radiator is said to be supported. The channel Ronsanut has a really good, indepth review of the case and he mocks up a system with a 480mm in the top and a 280 in the bottom.
Imo this is THE new enthusiast case period. No flaws, so many clever and convenient features, especially for watercooling, highly customizable to fit everyone's needs and preferences and it even looks awesome (much better than the 900D or Switch 810 in my personal opinion).
Finally a nice looking case with a large window with no fan mounts on it. Even though there are fan mounts on the other side it comes with magnetic dust filters. 10/10
If I were to build a full tower water cooling PC I would buy this case in a heartbeat. For what it offers, $250 is a steal....thxxx for another great review !
Just ordered one of these to replace my 700d. Was gonna go for the 900d but after reading the poor quality control issues I decided not. Especially considering I already own 3 broken corsair products.
HardwareCanucks Yeah it's a real shame, I always liked Corsair because they had a reputation for making very good quality products. It seems this is only true for their power supplies.
***** Yeah i relized corsair is not all its cracked up to be. Even their PSU's are not as competativbe with EVGA's g2 lineup. Their cases all have lots of plastic, with the acception of some older obsidian cases. Silverstone beats them at cases, as does phanteks.
***** The Phanteks case wont stop you spending money on compressed air. It does not matter what case you have, you will still need to clean it out. All the dust filters in the world do not really stop dust. My old corsair obsidian had dust filters and it was still a dust magnet. The best thing you can do is just have lots of positive air pressure. BTW it may be cheaper for you to buy your own air compressor.
I'll never look at any other case the same way after this review because this case just awesome and very very practical. I will be biased on every other case because the case just screams at me to get and I want to! That 249$ price is nothing compared to what you get, just simply an amazing deal and competitive price.
I emailed phanteks asking them to do just that and I would encourage as many people as possible to do the same. The more people they get asking for a smaller version, the more likely they are to market it! :D
This case looks just incredible! To bad I am not into watercooling, if they release a midtower version of this case without compromises on quality I would buy one.
hi, great video btw, just to check i think this is the correct dimensions according to their site, 250mm x 650mm x 600mm (WxHxD). Thanks for the review :D
Handles are for cases meant to be moved around alot. like taking it to a Lan party. This is one of the biggest cases out there (just smaller then a 900D).
Yup, case of the year. They really put themselves in the shoes of the user while building this case. And unlike the Air540 (which I do like), there's no wasted space at all. Putting enthusiasts first, Enthoo Primo indeed! Well done Phanteks! Looking forward to what else they come up with
Have been doing research for almost 5 year now, most super tower case in the market today(Obsidian 900d, Switch 820, CM Cosmos 2, Xigmatek Elysium....) support XLATX mobo
wow such a great video very professional and very in-depth this case wins over the corsair 900D in price vs airflow keep up the good work and once again thanks for the review
I admit this is overkill for my needs, but damn this is an impressive case and indeed Phanteks has included almost everything an enthusiast needs/wants. I agree that I also cannot wait for more cases from those guys. Truly amazing effort for a first case...
Completely agree, the best case of the year. Although i want to point out another thing Fanteks should have done to this case, most super tower case in the market today support XLATX mobo and this case only support ATX mobo so if you want to run 4 way SLI, you have to look somewhere else.
Its not released yet. But you can pre-order them in allot of places. I pre-ordered 2 of these and planning on modding one painting pearl white and swap out the LED strip on both for a different color.
Biggest complaint of owning this case is the Res mount and cable cover. That 10.5 inches makes me sad when my cards are 11.5 inches. Another complaint would be the LED strip included, as it is only blue, but I modded that along with the power button to match my build. Still amazing On another note, 11 fans can be installed on the standard hub. 5 of the ports can be split fan 1 needs to be single cable only.
If I ever went back to full atx, that would be the case I get. Those straps on the back are just such a nice little add on, I mean damn its like luxury.
I think most users prefer a FRONT MOUNTED control section (USB ports, on/off/reset switches, power/disk LED and Fire Wire port. Also, having such a control section on the case's front panel as opposed to the top or the top-side (as in this case), certainly puts less stress on the cables and they will probably last longer to boot. P.S. Your lighting and camera work are outstanding, allowing the viewers to clearly see everything. :-)
I think it depends on placement. With such a large case, I'd put it on the floor so that wouldn't be an issue. With smaller cases I wholeheartedly agree, as if I decided to put one on my desk, I'd definitely prefer to have I/O on the front.
Nice review, but I think the dimensions at 00:59" are wrong. Please check up again, cause at oficial Phanteks website are listed as 600mm x 650mm x 250mm (DxHxW).
Thought its released in 2013, I have to say its one of the sturdiest full tower cases to date with so many fan mount options everywhere. Recent cases always have structural issues and even quality control problems. One might argue that the price point is ridiculous etc, but if you were to compare with a 900D I would say this is a much better value full tower even in 2016.
The best case, I've seen so far. I am not a watercooler, nor would I spent that amount of money on a case. Still, if I would, this one would be the choice, no questions asked.
you can also have a 280mm rad in the front with out removing the bottom HD cage (u can have a 280mm rad in the front with out removing either with a little cutting) just have to have the Hard drive cage back/not close to the intake fans.
I'm getting this case as soon as I find it in stock :) Just to give a little more backup for the argument that it is indeed pronounced PrEEmo (not Prime-o), there's a video from Overclock . net where a Phanteks employee gives a walk-through of the case and calls it Enthoo Primo in the traditional pronunciation (preemo).
I love hardware canucks case reviews, no one else displays the information so concisely and professionally. Great work!
Happy and excited to say that I've finally (after almost a year of deliberating) pulled the trigger on my $3500 build! Because of this video, I went with the enthoo primo. Can't wait to get all my pieces in tomorrow and bring the beast to life!

i love the camera work of hardwarecanucks
Mayur Vishram Well thank you very much ;D
Yes! I agree, just finished watching same case reviewed by another tuber and its like night a day.
Thanks Aaron for your support! We've got the most awesome fans :D
So true..they dont often show up to my shoots, but there were many that day :D
Thank you for introducing me to this brand and what I hope is a case I will love forever! So excited to have this case as the starting point for my new build!
I contacted Phanteks and there is a mid-tower version in production. I'm looking forward to that one.
I really hope the midtower version will be made of exact same quality, I really hate then new case manufacturers compromises like Corsair.
Agreed. Corsair is a good brand but not worth the premium they insist on charging.
I have two Corsair 800D´s at home...(Business & Pleasure).
But this looks so awsome.
Great camera work!
Merry Christmas to me! I am so getting this, & absolutely thrilled at this cases potential. Thanks for the awesome review as always
This is by far the best case I've ever seen! I think I'm going to have to get one now and plan a build just to experience this beauty
Pre-ordered this case about 2weeks ago. Ive been following Phanteks for a while now and this case just made me go crazy. Im thinking about getting 2 and painting 1 in a pearl white with a RGB led strip instead of the blue one!

Oh my God. This is incredible! WE needed this. I love it!! It'll make everyone else step their game up!
Fantastic review... I NEED this case, I wish it was a bit cheaper but it certainly looks cheap for the sheer quality of it!
Just purchased this for my 5960x watercooled pc build. Looks like a dream to work in, cant wait!
How did it go?
***** I heard he turned into SS God
nice review canucks! how i wished ive seen this first for my build. now im modding a 900d :)
wow what a case!
really liked the review Dmitri :)
White Enthoo Primo is my next chasis
They are coming out with 2 other chassis similar to this :)
Same here. I can't wait until it's released.
Abdulla Mehdi phanteks enthoo luxe and pro i think :)
***** they are smaller tho.
Fuck Enthoo Primo, I've been waiting for the white version for months now and still it's not available, also a percentage of those who got their hands on it complain about poor quality and reaching them with broken tips and other defections, and to add to that the price of the black one just sky rocketed on Amazon.com.
I'm done, I'll just get my ass a white NZXT H630 or Phantom.
hands down best review of this case
Looks like they got this case damn near perfect. Well done Phanteks, well done indeed
Can't wait to see what they will come up with in the future! By that time, I can hopefully afford a wicked sick build!
Why are you so good at making reviews
Thank you for this review, my mind is absolutely racing!
You guys have best case reviews ever.
Hardware Canucks...most professional reviews on the web...love your videos guys.

Even better value :D

Great case. They really have thought of everything.Great review too!
Great video! Been waiting for Canada Computers and NCIX to get stock so I can pick this awesome case up.
Awesome review guys! Nice job
if i was into watercooling builds, and heavy custom, this case would definitely be my top pick, to date
If I were to build a full tower water cooling PC I would buy this case in a heartbeat. For what it offers, $250 is a steal....thxxx for another great review !
This case looks amazing! I think I may have to do my next build in one :)
This is like one of the best case that I've ever saw
wow phanteks...... i love how much elegance and thought they put into it.
impressive case, for a first timer in the market. Phanteks has definitely put a lot of thought into design process of this case.
Just got this case today it's perfect.
Definitely best case reviews - thanks guys
Just ordered one of these to replace my 700d. Was gonna go for the 900d but after reading the poor quality control issues I decided not. Especially considering I already own 3 broken corsair products.
Excellent choice with choosing the Enthoo Primo! We've always had issues with Corsair products, just shows they need to step up in QA.
HardwareCanucks Yeah it's a real shame, I always liked Corsair because they had a reputation for making very good quality products. It seems this is only true for their power supplies.
*****
Yeah i relized corsair is not all its cracked up to be. Even their PSU's are not as competativbe with EVGA's g2 lineup. Their cases all have lots of plastic, with the acception of some older obsidian cases. Silverstone beats them at cases, as does phanteks.
***** I did the same. You will love the Phantek case. Its so smart and sleek and the cable management is brilliant, best I have seen I think.
***** The Phanteks case wont stop you spending money on compressed air. It does not matter what case you have, you will still need to clean it out. All the dust filters in the world do not really stop dust. My old corsair obsidian had dust filters and it was still a dust magnet.

awesome case with awesome review definitely best case till now
I agree. The detail is immaculate. This case is worth the price because its the last case you will ever need.
Dear god. Was just looking for a new case and had the 900D in mind, this however is a thing of beauty and I need it. Sorry Corsair.
I agree 100%. This is simply an incredible chassis.
Awesome, I'm proud of my Dutch case builders!
I really enjoy your Videos! i like your video and sound quality and your way to review cases! :D
hi, great video btw, just to check i think this is the correct dimensions according to their site, 250mm x 650mm x 600mm (WxHxD). Thanks for the review :D
if i going to build an overkill system in the future i will choose this case it is AWESOME !
Handles are for cases meant to be moved around alot. like taking it to a Lan party. This is one of the biggest cases out there (just smaller then a 900D).
I don't really like the look of the case personally, but it's really well designed and well thought! I wish more cases had all these features!
The EVGA case reviewed was also a pre production model. See how it fairs when HC tests a finished version.
I can't wait to see their Mid Towers!
Yup, case of the year. They really put themselves in the shoes of the user while building this case. And unlike the Air540 (which I do like), there's no wasted space at all.
Putting enthusiasts first, Enthoo Primo indeed! Well done Phanteks!
Looking forward to what else they come up with
If your building something that requires this amount of space and install options this looks like a really nice choice.
I can say this is THE BEST full tower case 2013 ! (900D actually released in 2012)
Have been doing research for almost 5 year now, most super tower case in the market today(Obsidian 900d, Switch 820, CM Cosmos 2, Xigmatek Elysium....) support XLATX mobo
Looks good, and sounds good im more of a small case guy, but definitely room for them in the market of cases.
wow such a great video very professional and very in-depth this case wins over the corsair 900D in price vs airflow keep up the good work and once again thanks for the review
haha..no worries :D
Well the need for it is coming back for enthusiasts, GTX780/Titan overclock like crazy with better cooling and Haswell runs pretty hot.
I admit this is overkill for my needs, but damn this is an impressive case and indeed Phanteks has included almost everything an enthusiast needs/wants. I agree that I also cannot wait for more cases from those guys. Truly amazing effort for a first case...
Plus keep it up ur helping me with wat case that will suite me for my build
Completely agree, the best case of the year.
Although i want to point out another thing Fanteks should have done to this case, most super tower case in the market today support XLATX mobo and this case only support ATX mobo so if you want to run 4 way SLI, you have to look somewhere else.
Its not released yet. But you can pre-order them in allot of places. I pre-ordered 2 of these and planning on modding one painting pearl white and swap out the LED strip on both for a different color.
this case is perfect for an ultimate watercooling system.makes the 900D looks like and afterthought case.
Biggest complaint of owning this case is the Res mount and cable cover. That 10.5 inches makes me sad when my cards are 11.5 inches. Another complaint would be the LED strip included, as it is only blue, but I modded that along with the power button to match my build. Still amazing
On another note, 11 fans can be installed on the standard hub. 5 of the ports can be split fan 1 needs to be single cable only.
Does the side fan bracket support 140 fans? Official specs say yes, but looking at 7:13 it doesn't seem so to me?
If I ever went back to full atx, that would be the case I get. Those straps on the back are just such a nice little add on, I mean damn its like luxury.
WOW. This case is absolutely is amazing!!!!!! Would take this over 900D any day.
This case blows my mind!
Great review, thanks. Think I've found my FT02 replacement :)
I am so fucking sold on this.
Nice review, but I think the dimensions at 00:59" are wrong. Please check up again, cause at oficial Phanteks website are listed as 600mm x 650mm x 250mm (DxHxW).
Very sleek, looks great!
This is going to be my new case for my full watercooled system in the relatively near future. :3
2:37 IMO the case USB ports are well placed especially if you place the case on the ground.
i might get this case its amazing
I'm getting this case as soon as I find it in stock :) Just to give a little more backup for the argument that it is indeed pronounced PrEEmo (not Prime-o), there's a video from Overclock . net where a Phanteks employee gives a walk-through of the case and calls it Enthoo Primo in the traditional pronunciation (preemo).
excellent case, i only wish that they make something smaller, just enough for 3x120mm wattercooling system
SOLD! I just pre-order on newegg along with 4 140mm fans. :D
