The first dude had no reason to make something that good after only a year, crazy shit!
@@JCT1926 No need to assume all that he probably just actually sat down and practiced consistently and efficiently. I’ve been “playing guitar” for like 10 or 11 years but I probably only have like 3 years total of actual meaningful effective development and practice
when you are newbie offten u are less limited since u dont know that much and u sometimes write something rly good kinda random
@Gabriele Squaratti I thought so too...then I checked out the guys youtube, and he has progress from the past year...I'm genuinely shocked he's only been learning for a year lol. crazy stuff.
No fucking way that's a year and half
Maybe he has past experience with other instruments
Thanks for listening to our track. That wasn't really a roast, but we do like to take your kind words. Greetings from Germany btw.
just added to my crack playlist, whats ur inspiration i would liike more music like that pls
I knew there was going to be a black metal section of the song the second I heard the snare drum.
Where is the Jamar track? I don't see it
@@quantumxfluxmd6821
It's called "Catalan Endeavour" & you can find the link to it in the vid description [11:55 min].
Cheers; Zofy & Jumar.
Grüße aus Deutschland zurück 💯
This is unironically my favourite type of vid by you Rudy, don't ever stop these
same
Agree
really tho, it's my day when one of these come out. I wanna see more *meaty* Rudy content.
dont trust then rudy, just stop it, its cringe and zero fun
Exactly
"Everything is everywhere"
Night terror 2022
Beautiful, insightful and inspiring lyrics.
Its true tho
@@RudyAyoub 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Kind of based, honestly.

Wow I just realized that things, do in fact occupy a space in time. Stuff exists. my prefrontal cortex cannot handle this spiraling existential crisis. Help
Night Terror creator here!
You'll find no surprise in hearing that I have been admitted to a mental facility, once as a minor and once as an adult.
"Everything is everywhere" refers to the overstimulation i went through when I was experiencing Tardive Dyskinesia and Torticollis due to a medication mixup. However, I understand the ridiculousness of that line without its context. Thanks for roasting me Rudy! No joke, I died laughing at your last comment due to how poignant it was.
bipolar type 1 boy here. made perfect sense to me.
one time my bro and i were bent on mushrooms and he mumbled "everything is too much" while glued to a lawn chair
@@ProjectAgain I had an "everything is forever" trip.
I enjoyed the song. I had never heard of "electro-core" but the song sounds exactly like the term sounds like it should.
@Aziz Azif what in the name of christ on a cross are you talking about? i literally said im bipolar. the bi- prefix means two, and it has neither end has to do with optimism. fuckin hell mate.
also, an ellipsis at the end of a sentence doesn't make it smart. dont do that boomer type shit.
"I started playing guitar a year and a half ago"
I don't believe you

Rudy, as a 30 year road musician, (now 70) years old , I love your channel. I get you, don't sweat the trash talkers, you are honest ,and funny !
To be honest, after hearing all those death metal and progressive metal songs, that classic thrash song was pretty refreshing to listen to.
Yeah exactly
make metal great again!
Felt that way for the last couple of years honestly. Gimme some obsolete, vector, etc.
all shitty metalcore
@@groblezep5548 there was only one metalcore song bro
35:00 not only is this song tone-wise, solo-verse-chorus-layout-wise and chronologically a near carbon copy of Master of puppets but this chord progression is also an exact copy of Orion. Otherwise its still pretty good sounding.
Spot on.
We're sure it's not just one of those AI-generated mashups?
It's good, though.
That Jumar track was fire, her vocals at the end gave me classic Wolves in the Throne Room vibes
Thank you :)
🖤
reminds me of circle takes the square as well
literally was getting chills from the screams that doesn't happen often
reminds me amesoeurs
Damn people are sending in actual music now
The end of the Jumar one made me want to learn how to scream… really admirable! I like the mashup of spoken word, singing, and screaming, too.
That one SoundCloud one, Five Six Five Six I think it was called (I can’t read the artist’s name on my small phone screen), was really engaging to me, and it stood out. I wanted to keep listening to it despite the …less polished elements.
Thanks JUMAR for attending at Rubys roast. What a pearl!
🖤
Thank you. Humble to hear that.
if by pearl you mean walmart amesoeurs
Lmao, surprised anyone in this comment section knows of Amesoeurs, spot on though.
Bro thank you for the review and for the kind words. My mom was finally able to evacuate from the roughest warzone in Ukraine today and I'm so relieved.

@Sasha Lemay thanks bro. Yeah this one was experimental for us in terms of sound, we like how it turned out. I've a new one on Spotify if you wanna check it, it's called In The Dark.
I think that Holy Smokes track was great tho. Quite the video production for an unlisted video. Also I thought it was catchy and this kind of music is slowly becoming popular again I believe
"i dont know if you know this but there is more than one note in music.... You should try them. "
Best ever.
Damn that little black metal part in jumar was actually pretty sick ,feeling a very avant-garde vibe.
YES! Thank you. This is what we need to hear to stay on the track!
We take it; MERCI!
They should do more of that shit. I feel like they sold that more than anything else they did
Try Maudlin of the Well!
Try Jute Gyte and Nacht und Gnosis
the fact that the first guy only started playing 1 and a half years ago and he is THAT good is impressive. When I was at one and a half years I was still stuck on Metallica level playing

Metallica solos? Like, Kirk's solos? Seems very difficult, I can't play them...

The song would perfectly fit in Gta v vinewood station
That first guy really did the sickest run after only 1.5 years
Thank you Rudy
At 35:05 i fully expected for Master of Puppets solo to start playing lol ( the slow melodic one )
All off these songs take way to long for anything to happen people are so confident in their 1:30 long intros
Fr it's so boring if you're gonna do a buildup one from Metallica is like the best way to do it

Always!
Holy Smoke guy is a qotsa fan.
And the electroniccore was better than I expected.
Better than you expected but still shit
The ending bit of the Jumar song with her vocals gave me heavy Ludicra vibes, really cool
Thanks a bunch for tryin' rrrreal hard to follow along my {apparently?!} non-English-English & goin' on that {forever teenage-}angsty-acid-trip w/ us.
Keep on roastin' & rollin'!
~ Best; Zofy from Jumar.
The vocalist of Jumar has a really cool screaming tone!
Second song sounded like it was heavily influenced by Vildjharta and the sixth song sounded like it was heavily influenced by CHON. Hell, I thought they were going to play the intro to Sleepy Tea.
right? the sixth song is literally just a masup of chon riffs that are slight,y changed. didn't mind it, but it's way too similar.
Corypha song at 33:37 WOW! I couldn’t not stop hearing master of puppets in this it’s so heavily inspired by that song, it just makes me wanna go and listen to the actual master of puppets xD
It was a ripoff of that song. That's why.
These songs are getting good, tough to roast. We should start roasting your music, oh wait, we already do
This Rudy guy shitting on people while simoultaneously dispensing views is actually really clever, and "karma balanced" in a way... plus it allows the man to leave unfiltered comments without it being too mean.
Long story short, I just subbed and would love to see more my good sir 👏🏻
nah bro ur supposed to make "unsubbed" jokes
Wait, that's illegal...

It sounds like an interlude from Master Of Puppets and the vocals are partly Hetfield-like
first of all, i love this types of videos, and your content Rudy, is getting so much better. Second, that Jumar band was sick, like holy fuck kinda sick.
Cheers mate! 🔥
I liked the "real prog metal" song until, in the end, he started using that fucking synth that EVERY god damn prog band in the entire fucking world uses... it doesn't get less regressive than being a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a.......

@@_x_m_m_6976 and also thank you as well for the kind words :)
Basically poor mans Vildhjarta without the athmospheric building, emotional intensity and vocal variety. Executed well, but needs more courage to explore unique ideas. 1 minute songs are a gimmick that works once, but there isnt much time for substance.
@@HS_Merciless thanks for the feedback.. will try to improve
Really liked the Catalan Endeavor track. Might seem off the wall to most people, but I was in bands during the mid 2000's metalcore, screamo, math era. Genre-changing interludes were all the rage, and some bands would even finish the song in the change style. I really liked the spacey shoegaze aspect of it, and the prog-guitar style anthemic parts.
I got sonic youth vibes from that
Ah yes. The good ol' times. We've probably got some things out of this era.
"I don't understand how this game works bro" how we were all feeling lol
I was laughing at the “elements of songwriting “ statement early, I thought you meant they only had pieces of it. And you were right. 😂
Random thought I noticed while I was watching, but you have really nice looking eyes Rudy.
Really enjoy these videos, Thanks Rudy
Listen, Rudy's mom, stop posting on Rudy's videos. It's embarrassing.

I like the purple C in your profile, Mrs. Ayoub
this is some of the best content on this channel, because Rudifer doesn't make it
The scream vocal of Catalan Endavour kind of reminded me of Varg Vikernes
Love that you do this, Rudy.
I really enjoyed the track from Context Switch. Thank you Rudy for doing these videos, I love your content and discovering musicians I wouldn't have heard of otherwise.
Yeah the context switch song sounded so smooth
The instrument on the song by And All I Can Say is a lute Rudy. A-kinda cousin of the bandurria and although it may sound similar to a mandolin, it actually doesn't have anything to do with one.
hey man, we used both the mandolin and the lute in this video. Rudy showed it briefly
Catalan Endeavour fucking KILLED it. definitely will be checking out more, her screams are so chilling.

This two singer djent thing could really stop though, because it's always the Whiny emo vocals and cookie monster thing.
It always was shit. Doing it nowadays is a sign of mental retardation.
I can't stand that cookie monster screaming thing. I wont dignified it by calling it singing..it's insulting to real singers everywhere who have worked hard on learning to actually sing. To play the human voice as a instrument isn't easy. You don't just get to call yourself a singer. You have to earn that title..just like to be a guitar player, you have to be able to play a guitar. Call yourself a drummer you got to be able to keep time. You can't just start bashing away at the drums, you have to learn how the kick bass drum works with the snare drum..again you have to know this or you are not a drummer. Then what makes anyone think that just screaming in a microphone is singing? Bhhhhaaaaa is not a note in any key. It's not only insulting to real singers, but it's not very fair to the other members of the band, who actually spent time practicing and learning their instrument. Years of dedication to be able to use a instrument to express themselves. The singer of a band is no different, their instrument is their voice, you don't get to just scream into a microphone and call yourself a singer. You have to be able to actually sing..that means you understand key, pitch and timing. Not everyone can do it. The one biggest mistake almost all young bands make is they let one of their friends sing for their band. Someone with little or no talent aka "the screamer" they fail to know the importance of the singers job. The singer is the main focal point of the bands sound and performance. You can have a fantastic guitar player a drummer, but if the singer sucks, Then the whole band sucks. So young bands don't let one of your buddies sing, just because no one else wants to it..you better of with no singer, then a screamer..all a screamer "screams" is that the band is amateur and sounds just like every other who cant play..the audience is judging the whole band by the one guy in the band that has no talent, he just screams, if that's the case why even tune your guitar strings?..it's real singer is a musician. A screamer is NOT a musician..A screamer is a wanna be. a screamer is to be pitifully human being. Someone who craves attention, but, has no talent or just too lazy to learn what it takes to actually make music.
Try Ne Obliviscaris. They got the standard clean+harsh vocals combo but I've never heard any other band combine them the way they do.
@Sasha Lemay The band is called Drowned by Darkness. Listen to "Soul Raper." Actually, I don't know which song has the male vocals, but Soul Raper is pretty sweet.
Yeah where's the powerful singers. I want to hear something a deep and a little raspy on these types of choruses for a change. There's so few powerful clean singers in metal, there's plenty of great growlers, which is great but overall I haven't heard any new vocals that impress me for a long time. Even Will Ramos is just a spectacle to me. He's incredible at what he does, but the music means nothing to me.
As a almost-non musician, listening to the music and your comments help me to know how to appreciate the songs. Being a psychologist, I'm always interested in people. So lately, I've been looking at the evolution of your tatooes ion your right arm in the past 5 years.
Catalan Endeavour was actually very good whoa, I'm gonna check that out

Jumar's song was really great 👌. Reminded me of Brutus. Nice work.
We actually really dig that reference there; thanks!
Zofy & Jumar.
I thought it sounded a lot like Lacuna Coil.
Holy Smokes kinda reminds me of STP and Red Vox a bit, which is good, very commendable. But the song itself, I feel, is not found anywhere, it feels like a loop, not like a progression: the intensity doesn't change throughout, the lyrics are all repetitious, it's spinning its wheels.
I guess you could say it's like a drunk pickup truck driver stuck in a ditch: he's spinning wheels without a car in the world, while the tires wear thin, the gas runs dry, and the car drinks deeper and deeper into the ground.
To me it sounded like Franz Ferdinand meets The Kills. But I totally agree otherwise. Dude seems talented as hell but the song didn't grab me.
trying to find Bush on Sweetwater and I'm very dissapointed
catalan and night terror ftw!!!! im gonna dig in for sure

The language, other than English, in the Catalan Endeavor track is Catalan, a regional language of Spain based in Vulgar Latin. In terms of structure they are similar to Jinger especially their song Pisces.
almost spelled it right
I wonder if there is a Sophisticated Latin/Latin Pretentious/Lingua Excultus dialect?
