Great video - I really like your setup choices. I also like to bring a light musky rod for fishing a bit deeper with heavier lures. Tight lines!

I love that you are over doing it w/ rods… you do not need musky rods for pike👍🏻

My rod is an Ugly Stik Elite 7' Medium, I'm worried it won't be heavy enough for pike.

I have an ugly stik elite medium bait casting rod. It's pretty thick for a a medium rod, almost the same as the medium heavy version. It's fine for catching big pike, but the problem is that it's not really made for casting lures that are heavier than 5/8 oz. In other words, I wouldn't be concerned about landing a pike on it, but rather you might not be able to throw really heavy swimbaits.

It will be just fine I’ve caught 45 inch pike on ultralights on accident using panther martins for brown trout

I’ve added a stinger hook on the plastics for the “slash” strikes. Very effective.

There is no tricking pike into striking a lure; they will attack anything.

Lots of people praise the Terminator tandem blade spinnerbaits, but I don't like them. They can't be tuned, and the tandem seldom spins; often just rocks beneath the wire arm. There are much better ways to design a pike spinnerbait. Contact me through my channel and I'll explain.

Never been a huge fan of tandom Willow leaf spinnerbaits in general for just this reason. Only thing I can see is that the blades sometimes make contact and produce noise, but even for this I think there would be better blade combinations.
