Dean is such an artist. In one interview he talked about how he honestly doesn't care about the fame and just felt like there was no music that portrayed how he felt. Hence he just made music himself. He doesn't care that he is also very conventionally attractive, and in fact his choice of haircut and grills and Band-Aid was all to mask his face so all attention would not be on him. He wanted you to pay attention to the message of the song. He truly is a man who's just vibing and is just sharing the vibes.
