It was fought by poor draftees that did not have the connections of a senator or millionaire to keep them from going. I was a fortunate son in a way. I received a deferment for attending college. One of my friends who was not fortunate served his tour of duty and returned with PTSD. Another did not return at all. Peace.
The nerve of trump using this song during his campaign is just disgusting, the song is literally about him and his class of people, I believe he was served with a cease and desist by the band.
