  • Just an update on the progress I've made putting a bench, and tool box in my race car trailer. And maybe a tip on where to get cheap cabinets.

maybe I'm too late with this suggestion, but check out MIDWEST RACE CABINETS. They even sell cabinet door fronts , but do have a nice upper cabinet set up for a v nose. I put all new wall panels on mine, and used high gloss white paint...It's way easier to clean if you need to, much smoother finish than the flat of eggshell finish. I am trying to find someone to duplicate your mounting system for the spring sliders, that''s an absolutely awesome idea. I have a 1971 Z28...that's what drew me to your channel. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, it's a little to late for the cabinets, but thanks for the tip... Maybe I will use gloss paint. It makes sense about the easy clean up... I'm glad you like my mounting system. It took me a while to nail it down. Every slider has different dimensions. Thanks for watching.

Just found your channel. Kinda off the wall comment here but about your lighting system if you use a generator at the track I’d recommend getting an RV outlet and then buying a cheep electrical box and just wire your trailer for 110 volt. That’s how I did mine.
You have a nice looking setup so far. Nice car too. I have a 1978 tube chassis car.

It's not off the wall. I could use all the help I can get with this. It's my 1st enclosed trailer. I thought about doing that, and putting a plug in, so I could pull power from my shop. I had a friend tell me to just use a battery that my truck charges, but I don't know how good that would be with an inverter for power tools.

@@jimkiernan2855 well I’m my opinion going with a generator at the track and plugging in to your shop at home would be the best option. That way you always have power and won’t be dependent on the battery being charged.
However if you do want to do the battery so you’re not dependent on a generator you can buy solar chargers or battery maintainers to charge your battery that way. I use to have a solar maintainer on the last open trailer I had for my winch battery. My current trailer I don’t but I just use my battery charger to charge my battery periodically.
Plenty of options. Everyone has a different opinion. I use a generator at the track to charge my race car and also run a 24” fan, microwave and Keurig. So I wanted to go the 110 VAC route.

I do have a Honda generator, and you do make good points. I'm going to definitely look into it.
