That kid who decided to stand on both boats really improved the video with that idea. Definitly adding on to the spirit of having fun with those boats:)
What fun! How skilfully you all play! You folk had me chuckling and laughing so much. And you are all so competent.. Your boats are your gloves. A big thanks for the sharing. Thumbs up!
Hey it's all bout having fun! otherwise why bother? 😁 Nice to see you guys are back in the water btw! Lovely boat! Maybe some day I'll get a blue water cruiser and sail around the world!😎
So fantastic! Especially now that our winter season is already starting, it's great to see the fun of sailing boats. Thank you Teo for another great video!
@@TheBoatRambler There are so many choices in plans. Would you build the same plan again or another one if you wanted the same size boat to replace that one?
Hi, there's a boat I almost built and I believe it's the one I could build next...the OZ Goose. Probably the most versatile and stable boat, imho, and perfect for my needs.
We used to ram boats for fun as kids. Too bad yours are too nice for that. Or jump on the end of the boom as you pass by to capsize the other boat. Or drench the other crew with bailers.
Nice vibe. Thx for sharing. Do you raise and lower the GIS rudder according to the conditions? Looks like there is a lot of rudder above the tiller connection point in these shots. Also, do you use a 360 camera? /Paul
Thanks Paul! These guys are the most relaxed stress free sailing buddies ever! 😎 As for the rudder question, from just a few degrees further than a beam reach to full running I will start lifting the daggerboard and rudder depending on conditions. In really light wind (and close to full running) I will leave just enough rudder to steer the boat slowly... there is no lift and all the foils are just creating drag more than anything else! Have a look at 10:25 , I had been experimenting a few things with the rig and look how far they both pulled away. You can then see me getting up and lifting the rudder almost all the way up. That together with heeling the boat to leeward allowed me to get close to them again. Regarding the 360 camera...soon! 😉
Hi Dion! When running I often lift the daggerboard almost fully to reduce drag as no lift is achieved by it on that point of sail. On low winds I even lift the rudder half way up too, for the same reason.
Thank Poseidon for that!! 😁 I have used them once on the night I returned from Rat Island. It didn't go that well as I had not tried them before and the oars were crossing way too much. Had to row with those locator thinghies on the wrong side of the oarlocks. 😅

gorgeous boats and sailing, and lovely camera angles. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it
It's days like this that make all the hard work building the boat worth it !!!
Indeed! 😁
love all the go pros hanging off the bow and booms
The boom camera on Pedro's GIS is now drying out ... The waterproof case was broken, hope it will work again!😅
Good times! Enjoyed the ride.

Thank you Kevin!
We do our best to have great fun while we are out! 😁
It's beautiful how you guys have fun sailing! True dinghy soul!
Thanks Fran!
True sailing buddies! 😉
JOY on the wather...Great sailing party.....want a sailing boat like yours....
Hi Didier.
The boat is only part of it... and I'm afraid you can't take my sailing buddies! 😂
Amazing.
Beautiful, just beautiful
Thank you! I'm really glad you liked it!😉
This video has made my day, thank you.
Thanks PJ, I'm glad you liked it! 😁
Heck yah! We LOVE watching people have fun on the water!

Gracias, Teo! Saludos desde Mexico
Hi Galgo! Thanks a bunch! 😉
Unbelievable video! Your outboomed camera views were terrific. Love your videos! Keep them coming. Best Regards, Jude S/V Sea Orc
Thanks Jude! I'm glad you liked it! 😉
Great stuff...! you guys make it look so easy but I am sure that you are all terrific sailors and are 'at one' with your boats.
Thank you!
It was a nice day not much wind...I've had my GIS since June, not quite sure about "at one" yet!! still learning...😁
So fantastic! Especially now that our winter season is already starting, it's great to see the fun of sailing boats. Thank you Teo for another great video!
Thanks Robert!
I plan to take my GIS home sometime before Xmas. It will be in the workshop for maybe 2-3 months. 😬
😎 Totally splendid you guys, just the best video ever for a miserable grey damp November UK day 😊. You cheer me up so much 🤩😊😀👍🏽.
Thanks Dave! I'm glad you liked it!
It was also a greyish day here but sailing and having fun make's it go unnoticed! 😉
I see that it is not just us to be crazy on our little boats !
Where's the fun in not being crazy???😜
@@TheBoatRambler the happy crazy of course, those who know that they're crazy:)
Ahahah that sail falling, priceless! Looks like even seasoned sailors forget stuff from time to time xD
I actually forget a lot of things before I get in the water...I'm always just to eager to get sailing!! 😁
TRUE!
Nothing like dodging a concussion out in the sea xD
@@PTMxCh00bX another reason why I love my Lazy Jacks! they control my sail and yard even when "free falling"! 😁
The black boat looked to be faster than the others. If so, is it because of the hull or the sail rig?
Hi!
It all depends on which tack I'm sailing IMHO, have a look at this video I made about exactly that! 😉

Yes, we both built a Goat Island Skiff. 😉

Why was the dagger board up?

Hey... I know you have oars... haven't seen you use them yet...

what boat is Bruno sailing?
Topper 14 sport 😉
