Hi.... Evan and Rebecca thanks you for showing your video homestead beautiful great good job BYE 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋👍👍👍
I loved the way you were able to interpret Rebecca's message when she "ran over the rope."
Great Job Guy's on getting ur Turkeys moved to the Lawn.
Rebekah you are just too much. Your farmer flip flops make me smile. Glax you got your turkeys moved successfully. Be safe. Till next time..
Thank you for sharing. Good luck w/ the new chicks.🐂
Rebekah intro!!!! YES!!!!
Everywhere round about me is clear blue skys but over me it's raining lol classic,I haven't laughed that much for years Evan thanks
Rebecca is the cow whisperer. She makes friends with all of the animals, but she has a special relationship with the cows. Always does.
To improve your ground, place a milk jug or bucket of water near the ground rod with a pin hole in it to keep the ground moist. It will conduct electricity better in dry weather
Also, a couple tablespoons of salt in the water will increase conductivity.
An excellent suggestion. Another might be to GET A REAL GROUND ROD! Placed along the drip line of a roof edge keeps more moist. But honestly, my heart went out to Evan pounding those short stakes into what seemed, for all practical purposes, like cured concrete! Water is the most versatile lubricant and solvent. (And works wonders in clay soils---providing you can get it to penetrate...)
I did pour water on the ground rod/stake. To try to improve voltage on the fence. But I didn't include that part in the video. I didn't have much luck making it better.
All animals lookimg great and the 2 of you also .....gotta go check the sheep
I just love it when you show all the animals and you both work so well together !!! Love your channel !!!
Rebecca will be running the show soon. Great work
looked like a good opportunity to turn the compost pile
What an idyllic lifestyle! And all it takes is constant, unremitting toil, planning and investment ..... Thank you for sharing!
You mean you "mowed over the rope" hahaha!
Thanks for sharing ! You guys make a great team !
Your pigs are so huge! They must love their new surroundings. Free ranging chickens will make free ranging nests😉
That adds a whole new meaning to a Turkey Trot! When those 21 get to be full grown that is going to be one crowded tractor.
When we cleaned the chicken house in preparation for new birds we cleaned the floor and then sprayed down the walls/cages to clean them. After drying we spayed the area with nicotine sulfate to eliminate insects and allowed the area to rest for about 10 days to break any pest cycles.
Thanks guys
Awesome guys. Your getting very busy now. Lol❤❤
mount one of those old screen door springs to the top center of the chicken tractor frame and the attach it to the rope. when not towing it around the spring retracts and keeps the rope off the ground
Good afternoon from Casey Illinois, happy Turkey moving day🦃
Wow the pigs sure have grown fast. Turkeys are looking good. Glad to see this cooler weather finally moved back in. Great work guys
Great Video as always 👍
The struggle is real. Ain't raining except on you when you're trying to do work.
I would put lime down or something to kill bacteria after cleaning before I put in fresh straw etc. for the chicks.
You could also use a longer ground rod with the same fencer to save money.
Very interesting. Great video.
About the weather, welcome to my world. Heat advisory in effect 108 up to 114.
I can tell you both love your animals. They are given a great life there at your ranch.
Thought we’re looking in better shape, thanks for confirming. You should consider protein shakes = good protein hit + hydration!!
Enjoyed your video
Multiple ground rods, put one long one next to the frost free hydrant when it drains every time you use it there's moisture, nothing will help as much as rain
Tell Rebecca I thought I seen a mouse running across the dash of you truck....LOL
If I were a farm animal, I would definitely want to live at Country View Acres!!! Y’all take such great care of all your animals!!! 💕
I always have to look several times and when there is rain. I’m in Northern CA maybe the last time it rained was Feb/March?
With your nice garage/workshop, couldn’t you put the portable Turkey/Chicken tree and it would be out of the elements and weeds and not break down so fast.
Oh no, No masks when cleaning the poultry pen? And sandles. Rebekah, are you wanting to visit work on your day off?
Your Homestead grounds always looks nice, and you both work.
Suggestion: put a Fender Washer on your rope before you tie the knot on your chicken tractor
It's so frustrating for us when we find eggs in other areas rather than the nest box. We've been lucky so far, I like that you feed your questionable eggs to the pigs, my wife will boil ours and feed them back to the chickens. Good luck with the turkey and the up and coming chicks. Thanks for sharing, I hope you have a nice week!
Since the turkey tractor is so close to building power, locate the power supply there and run a fence wire to the tractor.
We just found a nest full of eggs and floating them found some of the bad ones but not all so beware of the ones that didn't float!
On the absolute hottest day of my life we had a temperature of 104. And it rained no where else but my workplace. Which increased the humidity to far worse than it had been. I survived that day. But I never want to see it again. 😊
Hi turkeys look great. What are your white ducks. Have a great day.
Rebecca, do the ducks come up to the house porch and announce they're hungry or did they when seeing you come outdoors?
A nice day on the farm video. 👍👍👍
Yes if they see us, they run up to us if they are out of food.
Thanks
Hay Evan awesome video all your animals look great can't wait to see your Turkey's get big thank you for sharing blessings to you and your family
That'll help fertilize your yard too.
Looks like some good eating is coming your way. The beef, hogs and turkeys are looking really good. Blessings🙂
Love your channel Evan and Rebecca ❤
Do the pigs have a date yet? How is the car mouse? Tell Rebecca that you can place a snake to rid of the mouse. 😂😂😂😂
Thought of that too.
Hello Rebecca!! I Love Your Guys Channel!! ❤🌻🙋♀️
Hi Evan and Rebecca the pig's are getting so big I enjoy watching your videos. 👍👍
I like Rebecca in the video's 👍When feeding my neighbor's sheep I gave them some leaves from a wild plum tree. The sheep loved them. Do you have any wild plum trees?
Saving yourself some steps, I don’t blame you. Little piggies are getting fat. God bless, love ya ❤
We were having small eggs from our chickens. I added some Omega 3 stuff to their water and they started laying larger heartier eggs with much thicker and stronger shells. It’s called Layer Boost with Omega-3 by durvet.
Great team work
nothing like some sky juice
Greetings to all including animals. Rebekah, you and that guy who follows you around have good videos, always, but I think this was one of my favorites. It had it all - happy pigs, tractor work, working on (turkey) tractors, cleaning barns, chicken's egg surprise, adolescent turkeys, steer and Mia. (I saw you picking out the pit in the peaches..) Y'all's Carolina friend.
I would suggest you get a small wheel barrow to use when cleaning in the barn. That way there would be less handling of the manure.
I'm not seeing it for some reason...Evan puts it in wheel barrow, then Rebekah takes it out of wheel barrow and puts it in TYM bucket. What am I missing? At first sounded like a good idea until I started (oh no-'thinking') Great video!😉
Pour water around and on the ground spike.......turn off the fence first of course.
Thx
Evan, if you mow some hay I'm sure it will rain enough to let the ground rod work and make it easier to step in the turkey fence. It seems to rain every time you cut hay.
I use a wood bit to drill in the ground.
Hi, If if helps, I saw on another RUclips channel that before driving temporary fence posts, they used a drill and a drill bit to put holes in the dry ground first. Love the channel and seeing what you are doing to improve your land.
Hi, Rebekah and Evan! That’s a well constructed tractor for the turkeys. Can they fly yet!
Great stuff Rebecca and Evan!!! Thank you all for sharing your journey!! Rebecca you take such great care of all your animals!!! I remember when I was a very young child, my grandparents fed their animals before they ate !!! God bless you all!!!! Eddy
Hey its called sweat equity right!
Enjoyed watching. Always something going on😊😊😊
got my coffee
If the chickens just started laying the eggs will get larger as time goes on, pullet eggs are usually small for a few months to a year then they get bigger.
You guys are lucky. Our state of Louisiana has been in a drought. Extremely dry. Hasn't rained in 42 days straight. Our highs during that time has been above 105 on up. Yesterday was 110. I kid you not. I was smart when I purchased land all the way up to 1 of the lakes and bayous that pass through our area. You could always put bucket with several small holes and let gravity do its job to keep ground moist near the rods.
That went well, got the turkey's moved and the barn ready for the new arrivals. Ham n eggs and peaches go well together too. Apples n beef goes well too, have to try some with peaches and see how they go together. Thanks for sharing with us, keep up the fun and the good videos. Fred.
through a bucket of water on the stakes (ground).
You need to put a circulation fan to blow cool air through their pen because on windless days they might experience heat stroke !!! That gray tarp will absorb high levels of UV and radiate that heat INTO their pen !
What about the other side of the pond where the trailors were?
I do think it is nice to find out that Rebecca can make goof ups too. I do it a lot it seems.
You are getting a great deal of experience with the different farm animals, and slowly, but surely, setting up the necessary infrastructure. So hang in there. This could be a dumb question, but I have no experience with ducks, and am not sure about the reason you have them.
I do have an idea for putting those small posts into the ground. I have seen people use an electric drill to make a hole probably a little smaller than the posts. It saves the work of hammering.
I do hope your weather has improved. We were Very Humid and Hot last week until a storm system came through, and with-it severe weather. I believe there were 7 tornadoes with the storm. One was about 14 miles from us and it rolled 17 semi-trucks and some cars over on I-96, in mid-Michigan. One EF-2 massively damaged a centennial farm about 3 miles from where my family lives and only 13 or so miles from us. And there are trees and branches down all over the place. It happened just as the schools were having the year’s first football games. We didn’t lose power, but it seems like most everyone else in the area did. That is certainly one occasion (as long as there was no damage) that your solar energy would be very useful.
Haven't seen your dogs!
Hens laying anywhere can be surely frustrating. I have had several hens who refused to lay in there coop. Avoid releasing them until late afternoon. Maximum a week and you will be grateful
Might not need to let them out so early in the morning- wait until 11 am or so, by then most of them will have laid in the nest box by then.
❤❤
Hatch'em out
That would require a rooster.
I didn't know they don't have a Rooster
Here is my question where does someone buy the white fence material you have there
Premier one supply or Gallagher make electric netting.
@@CountryViewAcres Thank you
👍👍❤️
Did you ever catch the car mouse? Susan
Nope, I think it vacated the premises.
How long do you raise the turkeys? The turkey farm next to me feed them for about 20 weeks.
Which pushes them to close to 50#. Do you water glass any of your chicken eggs?
About 16 weeks on the turkeys. We'll freeze some eggs, we don't water glass them.
🙏❤️🙏👍
You should watch the making pets of animals you will put down.
Why is that, if you know their purpose?
Eggs seem normal for my european eyes! guess everything is bigger in the US
yall havent really been showing the steers as much as in the past is this because you have they jurseys?
I would say so. Rebekah doesn't pet on them as much.
What works better upright freezer or chest freezer, thanks
For storing lots of meat, especially turkeys- a chest freezer.
🌹🌹❤🌹🌹
👍
Think my comment on the last video got delete😢d. So you have lost a ffew gopro in the last few weeks. Just wonder8ng which model
why you letting all those weeds grow up next to the barn behind the chicken tractor???
those arent guenie eggs r they hard to see on cam
Enviromax spray will breakup that soil easily
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🥃🥃🥃👀👀👀☕️☕️☕️👍👍👍🍻🍻🍻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
👍🐷👍👶🍼🐣🦃
Those ducks are eating like pigs
Don't ya hate it when a city boy like me interjects??
If they float they aren't as fresh, but they may still be fine to eat if cooked.
Just sayin.
FYI - Not a city boy. Grew up in a town of 300 people. My high school graduating class was 25 people. You are probably more a city boy than me. The biggest town I have ever lived in was 2000 people.
@@CountryViewAcreshe said he was a city boy. Not you…
Yes, you are correct. I was half a sleep when I read it. My bad. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
As for the eggs, we already had over 50 eggs in the fridge. More than we can eat. So the eggs we found will probably be given away. And we want to give away eggs that will stay good for a while.
