My lenovo thinkpad has 8gb ram. On one slot and tge 2nd slot is empty....... I want to. Upgrade ram. By applying something on the empty slot... Any tips as to what options should i go for?
This model maxes out at 8. More could be added and it may run a bit faster but would not be recognised. Ideally check your models specs to see if it will accept more and if so use the same type of ram that is currently in it

Check your system. If 32bit then max is 4Gb. If 64GB then yes you can use 8Gb in one or 2 x 4Gb in both or even 2 x 8Gb in both

The laptop may be of a spec that maximum ram may be 8Gb. Installing 16Gb will work though the laptop may not recognise the extra 8Gb, so yes
Well you should use ssd if you want to make your pc fast 8gb ram is enough if you ask me
