- The fixtures have been released and we now know the road ahead for Luton Town back in the Championship.
For this bonus episode of the podcast, Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe, Trust chairman Tony Murray and Town fan Dan Barratt-Davis to pick over the the good and bad in the list of 46 games that the Hatters are about to embark on, including those two derby day clashes against Watford.
We’re between studio revamps ahead of the eighth season of the longest running Luton Town podcast, so the gang got together over Zoom (so excuse the dodgy backdrops!) on fixture release day, and to also discuss the news that manager Rob Edwards has penned a contract extension until 2028.

The Luton Town Supporters' Trust was created, and initially named Trust in Luton, in 2003 to help force out unpopular former owner John Gurney.
Current club chief executive Gary Sweet was part of the group that effectively forced the club into administration and out of Mr Gurney's control, for a new consortium to take over, headed up by Bill Tomlins.
Another change of ownership again brought problems and administration followed again in 2007, until the club was eventually bought out by the fan-led 2020 consortium, headed up by Sweet, which has now helped steer the history-making Hatters from the non-league to the Premier League.
The Supporters' Trust is a democratic, non-profit organisation run by fans for fans. The purpose of a Trust is to help fans to join together and strengthen their influence over the way Luton Town Football Club is run, and to improve the links between their club and the community it serves.
In a way, we’re like a union, believing that many voices are stronger than one and that the best way to influence the club is to represent many fans, not just ourselves. - Спорт

There is a good reason why the game is on the Monday. It is why I predicted, a week before the fixtures were announced, that we would start against Burnley on the Monday. All other EFL clubs will be in the Carabao Cup during the first midweek of the season.
At the end of the day, the sky contract is good news for our income …there should be a lot of positivity about that . A first game Monday night kick off is a very small price to pay.
With the first game on a Monday, we have a chance to make history again.
We will start the Burnley game bottom of the table.
If we thrash them, we could be the first team to go from bottom to top in one day 😅
We won't start bottom of the table (unless every game is a score draw - even then, Sheffield United would be below us because they are starting on minus two points). There will be teams on no points with a minus goal difference who will be below us.
@@les8475 good point. I didn't think it through, lol
