You thought Thor was the worse units? I actually thought they were the third best after Widow Mine and Zeus. They buff entire army burst by a lot, have highest AoE damage in Valerian’s army and the taunt combined with widow mines wall basically holds infinite number of waves. You only need 1 Thor and 6 mines somewhere waves would pass and you’ll never have to worry about waves from that path for the rest of the game. Being a structure in defense mode is also really useful against some mutators where structures are immune to the effect. Their weakness is that they have really bad single target damage (in defense mode) and they’re almost as weak as normal Thor in mobile mode.
If you remember a few months back I ask ctg to play temple of the past and protect each lane with only 1 unit type. If you check that video out you’ll see 4 Thor holding a lane all on their own through the double void thrasher wave. That’s before the buff, is one of their worse use case (because they lack single target damage) and they still pull through with ease. Now imagine that lane being held with widow mines single target dps support.
@@ศกรโสมาภา well, I always thought them as expensive, derpy and slow units and having Kraken/Cyclone defense sufficient. By the way, I tested your suggestion of having Krakens bombard sides from center on this week's mutation and they don't have enough range!
@ you need quite a bit of cyclones and kraken to defense late game wave. You only need 1 Thor and 6 mines which is way cheaper. Krakens are also almost as expensive as Thor. It’s a shame the Kraken can’t reach. I’m trying to make Kraken pushing works but every times I tried I just feel like Warhound + Raven would be better.
