This is another reason why I love this anime: we get to see the realest homies stand up for their buddy because they owe their lives to him, while at the same time I understand why the force wants to kill him. Especially after seeing Kafka go berserk like that, because what happens when a Kaiju that is powerful enough to push him to that point comes along? The power of friendship doesn't mean shit if you get one-shot.
Well the only reason why he almost killed the director was because he was wearing No.2 and Kaiju No.8 just killed it so I doubt any human is going to get will kill by him.
@LordGlacier7 Kaiju no8, aka Kafka Hibino, never fought number 2. Number 2 has been dead and been Isao Shinomiya's personal Numbers Weapon for years at this point. He's only fought number 9 and punched the bomb from number 10 out of the way so far in the anime. The manga is a bit further ahead, but won't say anything due to spoilers.
@@SuperDraconas I know that Kaiju 8 haven't actually fought No.2 but end of the day the Kaiju 8 didn't have any interest for Isao at all just the No.2 weapon it only wanted to kill No. 2 it even said so itself "Kaiju. Kill." So as long no one is using a Number they'll be safe.
I love that they genuinely support and believe him, and the only reason why he was arrested was because of protocol and the suits at the top. I'm so glad they didn't do the whole dramatic " you lied to me/ you're a monster" and have people needlessly hate him because of plot.

I love how this anime has super supportive characters everyone cares, no one is mad for petty or stupid reasons everyone is just supportive it’s been a while since we had an anime like this
I can’t get over how phenomenal his whole team is. They kept shit professional, but as soon as the cameras got cut everyone went and processed the whole thing in their own way. The only common factor was that they were all willing to risk essentially treason for this man and that’s so goddamn refreshing.

Kofka has the knowledge and skill to be an amazing support on any mission but with his monster form he will also now have the power to help more directly as well. I literally screamed during episodes ten and eleven, seriously! And those moments where a spirit kaiju form comes in like he’s channeling the daikaiju power…UGH!! That’s CLEAN!! Cannot wait for episode 12 cause this man is about to go all out, and nice that we’re getting a venom/peter situation in what is essentially blue beetle armor
I actually think what Director General did was a good thing. Pushing him to his limits in controlled environment, is something that needed to happen to Kafka. Imagine what would happen if he didn't, and something would push Kafka on a real mission, and he would lose control in front of his friends.
Its so refreshing to see real friends like this standing up for the main protagonist. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to watch Blue Exorcist and see most of the main cast treat him like he's their opp.
Also seeing this episode made her dad my new favorite character bros a juggernaut for being able to step up to Kafka like that and actually slug out with him
Im glad that they went with everyone who worked or knew him supporting him after his reveal instead of some of them feeling betrayed because he "lied" to them or being cyncial because he's half Kaiju despite his actions. But they understand that its not their decision to decide and just the too brass or care more about public opinion and the kaiju threat itself.
I havent been watching this but I do read the manga, and if episode 11 is only this far then the anime is being adapted at a more decent pace than i was expecting.

He is technically in a suit. I've noticed that transformed #8 spine is the same as the defense force suits it can be argued since the suits are made of kaiju, Kafka is just wearing a suit with 100% release as it's base stat. Could also explain why his release force in a defense force suit is so low since he is always wearing one and put another one ontop of his matural one. But this is all just a theory I have.
The director general wanted to see Kaiju no 8 in action and that's exactly what he's going to get. Is anyone else excited to learn about the other numbered Kaiju? I especially want to know about Kaiju no 7.
It’s so refreshing that everybody didn’t turn on him or start acting brand new, especially Mina since she came off as very stern at times so glad she didn’t switch up and holds her old friendship with Kafka with her too
I mean, his squad are a bunch of real one's because they all stood by even mina defended him, and some refused to switch if meant going up against Kafka
