As a kid and beginner guitar player in the late 80s, I was given this Guns N’ Roses instructional VHS tape. I learned lots of licks from this back then. I have not seen this video in decades! I recently discovered it in my parents attic. I had previously looked all over the Internet and RUclips to try and locate it, but was never able to find it. I’m happy to share it with you now.
Oh man these were a life saver back in the day 😂 I can remember trying to learn guns songs by ear and having to work it out the hard way. Kids these days won’t understand
I’m with ya on that man. I started playing in the late 80s when I was in my early teens and I learned most things by ear or maybe get lucky enough to see someone’s hand on concert footage. Also, I never read tabs either so it was tough. This video and later on a couple of blues videos really helped a lot. But yea, nowadays there is endless learning content.
