Ngl, the tape on the nose makes a lot of sense to me. When you just stick it individually it's very easy to place it at two completely different angles and get two perfect but very different wings. This gives the tape a common middle point on which to base the angle on each side. I'm honestly VERY tempted by that hack. 😂

@@sophdoeslife I believe the general idea 💡 with tape on the nose is you should draw an imaginary line (or hold a makeup brush handle) from the corner of your nose to the outer corner of your eye and the end of your brow to have the correct angles for your face shape! You should try it! It REALLY does help with placement .

Love the blush hack... The concealer is the key for me because my cheeks are where I have hyperpigmentation from the sun in my younger years. So having some coverage with the colour is a great idea. Going to try that today.

I just use straight up lipsticks. I don’t mix them with concealer.
@@gabbyreck9347 the problem with just using a darker concealer as contour is that often times they don’t have the cool or more gray tones needed to create shadow. You’ve essentially just added more color back into the base and possibly bronzed. You have to have a really off concealer to actually have a good contour.
I want you to try that hack where you put concealer on the lips, yellow eyeshadow all over, a red liquid lipstick in the centre of the mouth (like inner lip) and then blend outwards with a blending brush and top with gloss. Honestly I thought it would look stupid but Nikkie Tutorials did it and it looked stunning!

i always use painters tape for my eyeliner and its the best little hack i ever found. painters tape is way less aggressive on the skin and wont get as stuck. But hooking the tape around your nose seems a bit much xD

The eyeliner/tape hack makes sense! I remember when learning portraits in art that your face is all in proportion to itself. So th outer corner of your lips is in line with the centre of your eye and the edges of your nose are in line with the inner brow and that your ears are in line with your nose top to bottom etc... so in theory maybe someone has figured out that using your nose anchors it to a complimentary angle which is even on both sides?? x

The cream blush hack will help your lipstick and blush from clashing! I love that hack! The older you get the more you will like cream products. I'm 45 now and the cream products help my skin to look more youthful.

I just saw hack on tic tok where you put setting powder on your mascara brush and then dunk it into tube of mascara and apply… it’s suppose to add volume to lashes. I also saw this same hack done differently. Rather than putting setting powder on mascara brush you put mascara on then using makeup brush put the setting powder directly onto lashes

Just so you all know someone's 80s era mom taught them the eyeshadow stripe trick... lol It's how we all used to do it. Oh, and to make our shimmer shadows stay where we wanted after we blended, we'd spray a bit of hair spray on a counter, dip a Q-tip in it, dab that on our eyelid where we wanted the shimmer to be, and add a bit more shadow there. It would stay all night without moving. lol We were innovative and we didn't have the stuff we have now.

The book around the nose is for both sides to be even/at the same angle(ish)
Try this color correcting pallet hack. You put all the colors on your face then blend like foundation and you are supposed to get your perfect shade base.

My favourite liquid blush is actually a liquid lipstick from bourjois rouge edition velvet in happy nude year. It doesn’t dry down too fast even on the lips it’s a bit moussey and with a small dense brush it blends out really nice and then I powder over the top. It lasts really well on my oily skin and I only need one dot on each cheek if I’m using translucent powder or two per cheek if I’m using powder foundation. Having so many tones to choose from means you can find one that suits your skin tone more easily and then using it as a lipstick as well then pulls the look together nicely

I think the four stripes of eyeshadow could work well for a quick everyday eyeshadow when you just don’t have the time to blend 20 shades in the morning! And I’m going to try the eyelash trick… eyelashes are not my strong suit and I just end up ruining my eyeliner, lol
