Awesome to hear the perspective of someone who lived in the Seattle area. I just moved to Fort Collins from Renton. Definitely will miss the 15 min drive to the airport and super fresh seafood, but absolutely loving it here so far! Much agreed on the (relatively) small town vibe and is hugely why I came. Nice to feel more part of a community again.
Thanks for sharing!
Awesome!! Welcome to Colorado!!! I am so glad you are loving it so far (despite the seafood and airport convenience lol)
I’ve been in FOCO for 3 years now. I used to live in much smaller towns. To me this is a true city, but it’s the best laid out one I’ve ever lived in.
Yes! I agree, you can tell this city had a plan before building and I would say they do a good job at planning ahead too!
I'm seriously considering transplanting myself somewhere in Colorado, and Ft. Collins checks a lot of boxes for me. This is really helpful information; I appreciate hearing the perspective of a transplant. Thank you for this!!
Love to hear it! We’d love to answer any more questions if you have any :-)
Thank you so much for your feedback!! Let is know if you decide to make a trip out!
Little on mountain also flies in their fresh seafood. You should try it! It’s amazing!
I haven't tried the seafood, but Little is AMAZING!
oh WHAT! I will, I have only been there for breakfast and LOVED IT (the DUCK)
Would love to have her on the channel more often. Thanks!
Thank you for your feedback! :)
Love it! Will do!
Thinking of relocating to Fort Collins from Atlanta, so a bigger city perspective was informative.
Love it! Let us know if you have any further questions :-)
Love it! Best thing I have ever done! Have you ever visited?
@@izzibrahim , not yet! We've been to Boulder and Denver before, and think Fort Collins is a little more our speed.
Love it! Let us know when you plan to visit, we would love to meet you! @@youngcardinal551
ooooh YES Fort Collins I would pick over all three! Let us know if you plan to make a visit, we would love to show you around! @@youngcardinal551
Transplants are real plants! 🌈
Hehehe YES they are!
I loved this video and hope you do more of them! Fort Collins is an amazing place. I started base camping there last year when I visit CO, and would love to live there one day!
How cool! Thanks for the feedback! She’ll Definitley be doin more!
Thank you for your feedback Michael! One day it'll happen!
What church do you go to? We’re thinking about relocating & we would love to find a church to plug into!❤ thanks for the great video I really enjoyed watching 🥰
Overland in Fort Collins! Its GREAT! Whether you are visiting or moving here, would love for you to come visit and see what it is about! Thank you for your feedback :)
You've mentioned a couple of times your favorite Indian and Thai places- which restaurants are those? Inquiring minds want to know! TIA!
YES - In Fort Collins: Taj Mahal and Khon Thai, Thai Pepper. In Loveland: Bangkok 89 and Bai Tong for Thai. I have a whole list of "favorites" if you want to drop your email I can send it over! ENJOY!
Simply Thai is a gem.
Thank you so much for the perspective! You mentioned that your parents moved to the area? Would you be able to give us their thoughts? I am in their age group, and would like their viewpoint. Are they retired?
Thank you for your feedback! Yes! They have retired for several months to travel Europe but will be heading back soon (DEC) and will be starting their own business they've dreamed of for years. They wanted to be in a different state and be somewhere one of their children is. Old Town reminds my mum of England so she loves that. My stepdad loves that it does not rain all the time. They love how kind everyone is. They feel it's less politically charged. More of a laid back happier environment from Seattle WA.
Can we get a video about the faith communities in the area? That is a big part of a decision to move. I am a Christian and would love to know about great and. I rent church communities, but I am sure others would like to know about other faith based communities as well.
P.S. Izzy nailed it! Let her do more. :)
Thank you so much for your feedback! Yes! I will do a video that talks about this here soon! Thank you for letting me know this is something that is important to you!
let Izzy make videos ALL THE TIME 🎉
hehehe I love you! 1st Tuesday of every month babyyyyy
Yes! She crushed it!
Excellent video! Definitely more Izzy! Would you be open to sharing your favorite restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, etc for those of us who come to visit often?
Thank you Tony!! Of course! Restaurants: Jax Fish House, Taj Mahal, Colorado Room, Rio Grande (house marg and nachos specifically), Silver Grill and Urban Egg for breakfast, Luciles, Thai Pepper, Sushi Jeju, Dae Gee Korean BBQ, DC Oaks and Penrose, Crown Pub 🇬🇧 . Coffee Shops: Explorado (all GF/celiac friendly and SO good, lots of seating), Starry Night (GREAT cake), Lima (midtown location is better if trying to get work done), Mugs (great food too). Breweries (don't really drink beer BUT) Ive gone to New Belgium with friends as they love it and they have a lot of seltzers to choose for me lol. Other drinks: CopperMuse Distillery, The Whiskey, Lucky Joes, Social.
Heck ya! She crushed!
@@izzibrahim Thanks Izzy! Maybe you could bring back the "walk talks" that Patrick used to do. Ummm when it cools down a bit :). Video of you visiting some of your fave places would make for awesome content. I stopped into Jay's recently and heard Mark Sloniker play some jazz. That could be worth moving to Ft Collins on its own! :)
Heck yea! That was actually one of the video ideas I had planned! So definitely! How fun! This is quite the town @@tonyr7000
Little on mountain, and Avery eatery are both amazing!
Ft Collins is beautiful. The city leaders are to be applauded for embracing progress & beauty. If you want to see the exact opposite, drive a bit up I-25 to where I live in Cheyenne, WY. This is a place that prides itself on being backwards & ugly. National stores are allowed to come in here & build their cheapest ugliest exterior vs codes mandating something aesthetically pleasing. There was a large fire nearly 20 years ago that gutted two downtown buildings. Since then, it’s been a hole with a fence. I can’t see Ft Collins allowing this. I could go on & on but you get the point. BTW, I’m not originally from here. 😊
Fort Collins definitely (sometimes too burdensome even) takes city planning and design VERY seriously. Thanks for your input!
😂
Yeah...no
