    This video brings so much nostalgia to me because I used to watch walking with dinosaurs and walking with monsters when I was younger and I used to think that dinosaurs were the coolest thing ever. And also the crickets and things just combined with Mr.Attenborough's voice just calms me so much. Thank you for this video.

    4 things about dinosaurs. 1. They had bird like lungs which are more efficient than mammalian lungs enabling larger size. 2. They had bird like lighter bones enabling gigantic animals. 3. They perhaps had bird like brains with tighter, more efficient neurons. 4. Perhaps like reptiles they didn’t stop growing until death.

      I'd go one better, and re-imagine/redo it with attenborough with today's cgi technology, and today's knowledge of the dinosaurs, because as much as the OG walking with dinosaurs got right about it's facts about dinos, it got quite a bit wrong compared to what we know now about dinosaurs. But a blu-ray release of OG WWD, I'd definitely be up for regardless.

      Personally i think after 20 years the "Walking with Dinosaurs" is going to waste. First of all maybe cgi improvements by going in, using the original film and having retextures here and there, or just bringing out the same stuff in 4k quality
      and after that is done, heck, i would love an other cutting edge documentary style serie like it with different dinosaurs and different stories

    • @notmyrealname7738
      @notmyrealname7738 9 лет назад +1

      +epSos.de Unlikely to have any predators of its time, when its an adult. I would assume that these creatures took a long time (decades) to reach full size, and the balance was kept with them dying as they grew up. But a full size creature would be simply be too much hassle for any predator.

    • @dexxboii3080
      @dexxboii3080 9 лет назад

      well we don't know much about this creature yet, we haven't even named it but the largest known dinosaur argentinosaurus did have to worry about predators, mapusaurus was bigger than tyrannosaurus, hunted in packs, and was specially built to take down large sauropods.

    • @dexxboii3080
      @dexxboii3080 9 лет назад

      Barbaruck Bjorn that is very unlikely due to some reasons, the heart would have struggled to pump blood that high, the vertebra needs to be very flexible which it isn't, and neck bones from titanosaurs just didn't fit such a posture. Some sauropods might have had their necks held upright like giraffes (although probably less than a giraffe, leaning forward a little more) like brachiosaurus or giraffatitan but titanosaurs most likely didn't.

    • @dexxboii3080
      @dexxboii3080 9 лет назад

      Not MyRealname an adult would probably be safe because there are creatures that might be able to take them down but they would most likely target the weak, sick, wounded, young, etc.

    Really awesome way of showing how dinosaurs used to be like. David Attenborough looks and acts completely natural when seeing these dinosaurs - its like he's one with the nature.

    I'm sitting on the shitter, and twisting my spine 180° to point my phone at the cistern in order to see the virtual dinosaur David Attenborough wants me to check out as he stands on a scissor lift in some dark Jurassic forest. What a time to be alive.

    The point of saying "the largest animal ever to walk on the planet" is just incorrect, it should be "the largest fossil discovered" -> coz we really dunno which would have been the largest land animal ever walked or largest sea animal ever to swim!! Its all based on the discovery and fossil, we cannot 100% quantify "this is the largest" / "this would have been one of the largest"...
