I think spawn/win battles with certain mech or weapon makes sense, but complete achievements and obtain are a lot harder to complete. They should be retroactive.
Yeah the achievements not being retroactive is the stupidest thing ever. Like EVERY game has retroactive achievements in case of major changes in the game
Completely agree with you! Good to know they are looking at the Gearhub tasks. I am 100% free to play and have played since the beta, so I had the Surge, Brickhouse and Redox ( :/ ). I opened Gearhub at tier 4. I was frustrated, then angry at having to waste valuable resources on things I didn’t ever intend to use. I followed your advice in the early Gearhub vids and went for the cheap options. But I used the Redeemer, Stalker, Aegis and Sentil, which was the cheapest route for me, along with Jav 12 and Grav 10. It was a lot of fun running around 3k, playing new mechs (until 5 days in when the match,along went insane and put me up against hanger double my power). I had been saving from when you first mentioned Gearhub as a development and the above cost me around 9k A coins and a chunk of credits (about 1 m I think), but I had then unlocked mechs and weapons in all tiers including tier 8. For me this is great as before I didn’t have any chance at getting these items!
exactly. I wonder if part of the reason they took them out is because they wanted to change the weekly quests, but are trying to fix it all. Not sure entirely, but thats just my guess.
Scape now that the gear hub is out for everyone i think you should consider doing the best mech and weapons loadout for each tier, that would be so nice 🙏
That is an interesting idea! I was already thinking about how to bring back best loadouts and had a plan for it, but this would be a nice one to see as well.
When he does his gear hub recommendation he does go through it and provided his upper recommendations for each and about how long they will be worth it. Check out his gear hub info videos very helpful.
I have watched it,but in that videos I feel like scape was focusing more on how to get to the next tier rather than giving us different good loadouts for that tier and also we cannot buy all the mechs and weapons after unlocking a new tier, we atleast I have to farm more resources to get my hands on the new ones.i know what I'm asking is a bit unnecessary but even now I'm still confused on what weapons to put on these new mechs that were unavailable to us before gear hub.
I feel like they had multiple people figuring out what the costs of things should be like 300k credits for sentinel 7500 acoins for minigun 12 and 750 (give or take around 15) for jav 16 makes sense but all legendary mechs being 9750 acoins and the costs of the em rifles in general are insane
Hey scape if you see this plz tell me if i should buy tengu or not. Stalker is good but i have many 12 energy and hugher mechs. But not damage dealing or good scouts. Slingshot is there but it barely does damage. But tengu has so less energy idk if its aorth upgrading?
Hope you've had a great holiday with fam scape. Personally I have also experienced this confusion, and at first there was a lot of confusion. I have 21 stars for tier 8, 23 stars for tier 7, and 20 stars for tier 6, however I currently have only tier 4 unlocked while needing 10 more stars to reach tier 5, so in a way my hopes to being able to get legendary weapons I earlier couldn't like em, isn't possible for the time being. Still it is a good update, a bit grinding can let me unlock all tiers fairly quickly actually. talking abut the new events, they will have to remove the one's for the achievements as for those who have completed them it would be impossible to complete that task. I still think that this is balanced when you take into consideration the fact that they still need to make revenue and that we now have a way to obtain every item in the game. The important detail however is that you can obtain it "eventually" which is the frustrating part for most players.

I wonder if they will do for the daily’s, you are required to use other no common mechs to get the 50/25/10 a coins. For instance use md in 5 battles for 10 a coins in the daily’s. Maybe that’s how they will make you “use” the unwanted mechs and weapons.
About the gear hub challenges I asked support about it not registering your progress mechs and achievements and thay said its not a bug that was how it was intended to work to encourage more players to do task What the devs told u is totally different from what support told me
About eclipse, on 3rd September there was crate event where you can open with ticket or 799 a-coins, so i guess f2p players were able to get it for 11k a-coins at max.
Right but this is the way they have released items in the past already. The Gear Hub was supposed to (in my mind) make it possible for people to get these new items at their leisure. Not present time limited and expensive ways to get them.

I think what they should do is change a few mechs and weapons to credits, like change em 8 to like, 1.3 million credits or smthg. It might seem a lot, but it's much better than getting 7.5k acoins
I agree. Far too many items are for acoins. I assume they did this for a couple reasons. 1 - you will be using credits more for upgrading items later on instead of straight buys. So as you hit tier 4 and up, there are items that are worth ranking up some. So it means you will use credits more for that. 2 - they are creating artificial premium walls to get people to spend for faster progression. The second option is more likely for their intent. its a business after all.

I got a question. I have the Stasis Beam 16 and I'm in tier V so do I progress if I double down on it? I got the implants and A-coins so will that work?
Can remember off hand - is SB16 in tier 5? If so, doubling it would help but you will only get 2 stars from it compared to its natural star rating. So that is a bit to invest in for only 2 stars in some sense. But if its something you like playing and want to use it as a dual weapon, then go for it.

To me the best candidate for it is the Panther which is in Tier VI and currently holding 2 Longarm 10s in my hanger. my plan is to pair them both and focus on them for now and hopefully unlock the Gravity Beams for that extra damage. The Gear Hub is great and all but fear as a Free2Player my resources might easily be spread thin if I'm not careful. so is it a good plan?
The developers told me Ember gun 12/fragment gun 14 would be released "soon". I asked them it would be before or after the heat death of the universe, but I sadly didn't get an answer.

3:55 The only acoin daily I had was Use 2K Credits. The ads didn't give acoins, and I didn't even know about the Gold Medal and Wins ones! I contacted support and they said that some players (like me) are randomly assigned to test features and these dailies are one of them. I told them it wasn't fair. So hopefully they normalize these soon. I'm not a fan of the idea that RNG dictates I lose a dollar of acoins a day.
I really like the new gear hub… it’s better for wisely operating your hangar. 30 mvp’s with a $2 weapon becomes logical tier + stars = bot strength (loosely)
The problem remains that everything you could possibly obtain is sh*t unless you get it to at least 6 stars or, ideally, maxed out to purple stars-which will cost you $150-$200-because the bots are OP beyond reasoning. They shoot EMs and dodge your shots faster than any player can. Bastion as a bot now is completely broken OP. So it’s not a fun experience at all. They only thing that is fun is playing with and against all live players in a game.
I'll go ahead and be the guy to say: players really don't need to finish those Gear Hub tasks, it's really not a make-or-break like some like to pretend it is. You can save tons of resources by not finishing them, even as a new player with none of the weird setbacks. But with that said, those aforementioned "weird setbacks" still don't make sense to me. "Buy 2 tier 2 mechs", I have 3 of them, but I don't have that task complete because I don't have Slingshot, which, in my mind, is unnecessary. Lots of players SHOULD have already completed a lot of those...
I thought we would have access to all the pilots as well…I have been waiting for Baron for a long time and the only way to get Baron is to pay for it and that pilot has been out for a long time. They really need to reduce the time it takes for free to play to get access to some of these items. Thanks!
pilots have always been on a separate system from mechs and weapons. They actually do come into the game for ingame currency faster than mechs and weapons typically do, but also have a premium period. Hopefully Baron will come in soon.
Not the way it used to be. It technically did just come back as the new playoff. They switched it to this playoff format. No one really likes it though.
Hey Scape . the only thing I like about Gear Hub is the 'everything view'. Remember progress path ?; you had to scroll blindly down the path to see what you could eventually get . Now everything is pretty much visible , but it's a money pit business ...😢
The Gear Hub Chapters are SO BUGGED!! How come i can't get credit for stuff I already own or maxed out. It took so long for them to do this and its so wonky. The gear Hub also runs like crap on PC. Sliders are lagging and you have to click more times to get to what you are looking for. For all new players, I recommend unlocking what you need to but don't upgrade anything. Play with Unlocked content as is and save resources. The sooner you start upgrading your hanger the faster the bots/players become more OP.
Wasting resources is exactly my issue. I'm in tier 5 need only one more star to go straight to tier 8 but I don't want to get cheetah or nade launcher 10 but looks like I have no other choice.
No you do - if you only need 1 star, rank up something in the tier that you actually like. I would assume its cheaper than buying those other items. I bet a rare item would be fairly inexpensive.

Frag gun is considered as new released weapon, so wait until 6 - 12 months since it was released then you can get them with in-game currency. Sorry for my poor choice of words 😅
Yes I know thats been a tough pill to swallow. I figured the discount wasnt forever, but it did feel like it was gone fast from when they told us about it going. I assume they needed to for various reasons in game as well as overall profits. Sad to see, but it is a business too. Just sucks for us.
1 problem with the gearhub tasks is that because i have had early access to the gear hub not all of my gear hub tasks are compeleted, and some of the are impossible to complete or would be a lot of resources

I think it can. 115 acoins a day (not including what you get in crates from the ads) would mean you go from: Legendary: Around 4 months Epic: 46 days Rare: 2 weeks Uncommon: 5 days To now roughly: Legendary: A little more than 3 months Epic: Less than a month Rare: 8 days Uncommon: 3 days And depending on your luck for events, crates, and fortune crate stuff when you open those, these can move faster as it sometimes has on my alt. To me this would be huge to speed things up.
@@scape211 in theorie the hub is a great idea. In practice it makes the game feel even more forced pay 2 play than it was before this feature dropped. Upgrading your mechs and weapons are already insanely expansieve so placing retarted buy prices would lake the game unbearable for most f2p players and thus they will lose a big chunk of the player base because they'll get fed up with losing against all those bots and p2p players 🤦🏻♂️ yeah the M.A. dev team really thought this release through. Also for the items that are still cash/crate locked why don't they just switch it up? 🤷Set a price for an item and when de deal ends that item returns to the hub for ingame currency instead of locking it up again for no reason ( since they've said the hub will make everything accessable ). In short this feature is awesome but how it stands now it's a cash grab ontop of how much of a cash grab the game already felt

Like i mentioned, they are working on it. I assume it was taken away so everyone is on even footing till its fixed, but I dont know. I will continue to ask them about it this week though.
I can't say that I like Gear hub. To complete the Gear hub achievements you will have to get mechs and weapons that you don't want or need. To make things worse, you must expend time, credits, and Acoins with no significant return on your investment. Fortunately, I already have the mechs and weapons I want, so I will likely just ignore the Gear hub stuff.
it cost me 2m credits and 4k a coins to get to tier 7.altough thats where i will be stuck since you have to buy atleast 3-5 legendary mechs to progress and everything costs 9k a coins.
Yes it gets very expensive towards the end, but if you are on tier 7, you are pretty much at the end and able to get some of the best items in the game already.

Yeah, the point of the GH should be for everything to be on there and be reasonably accessible, whether for real $ or in-game currency. Some of the stuff on there is locked and there is no way to get it. Also if you have mostly everything, you are stuck in this situation where the GH is irrelevant because everything new coming out is $$$$$ real money purchase only. So not much of a purpose for longtime players that have mostly everything.
I had the win 4 battles task for a whole day, than they removed it ofc.. these ppl never wana make things easy for us.. its just grind grind grind or spend spend spend
I saw the embergun 6 for like 15$ so said f**k it and baught it. Sad thing is i dont have a whole lot of time everyday to play to even complete some of these dailies or the mech/weapon dailies. Like for me rn i have to be mvp with cheetah 30 times to get 100acoins. I have about 7 hours to do that and thats not likely with lvls of my mechs and weapons. Match making is still an issue

I don't mind if others do sp dropping in 5v5, 2v2, or cpc, but not in tournament. It sucks when we compete for 1st position with those players who do that 😑
Was about to get Disc launcher 8, needed a few tens of thousands credits, then gear hub came ane fu**ed up everything, now disc launcher is 2 tiers away and many stars away, what could have been only 832k credits for a good weapon, turned into millions of credits and thousands of acoins for a crapton of weapons that are at best useless. In other words, I'm not that happy with gear hub lol
Yea i get that. But i still think its a better process than trying to earn keys in tourney so you can do the vault blitz. More casual friendly for core amounts of acoins.

Yea the new system has its benefits and flaws just like any system does. This one works well for new players. For long standing players its a mixed bag. Some are happy they can get items they never got before, but others are upset that they have to spend extra resources to get there. Both are valid points and it varies per experience.
I loaded up the game for the first time in 6months or so. Its the same old bs.. VP every match but still losing 9/10 matches. Now it just has more pay to win nonsense.
Tbh it’s kinda true. I do believe the idea is customers for freemium games revolves around spenders and f2p are part of the product to give them a real player base. Sad but true to the industry in a way

Gearhub is just another big fail from the devs. Close to a year in development with months of testing, and it's filled with bugs galore. It's just an attempt to drive spending, not actually help players.
kinda. they changed it to a playoff format. The new playoff we see with panther skins is what vault blitz turned into. I personally dont like it. They added the skins so its slightly better, but still overall not good imo.

I think it's B.S. that they make established players upgrade mechs & weapons they won't use! I quit this game when they ended the free implant swapping. It's obvious the devs want you to pay real money for everything. They've taken away the ability to earn A coins at a reasonable rate unless your buying them. They removed things like the Vault Blitz, etc. It's ridiculous the amount of greed this company has. It's sad as this is by far my favorite game right now. Too bad it's being run by clueless people. So the devs say they are aware of achievements that can't even be completed by veteran players, yet they still put it into the game. Stupid. How the hell do you not know this before implementing it into the game! This company could care less about free to play players!!! They only care about the people willing to shell out ridiculous amounts of cash!!! That's completely obvious because all their moves over the last year plus have been in that direction.
It's too fragile and the mines are embarrassingly easy to moves around (or dash/jump over) the only reason it could be somewhat considered good would be it's buff to 24 energy
stasis is supposed to make you slow, but not entirely freeze you. Have you tried redownloading the game? Or playing on other devices to see if its the same?
@@scape211 yes I have and I happened on both of my devices I started on Android and when to PC after, PC I a lot better than my phone performance wise but stasis is still not working as intended, I have you friended on discord and I'll stream to you a couple of battles so you can see too
Gear hub right now for me is dumb. I had 6000 acoin. Need 7500 for disc 12. Now i have to spend 925750 credits and 11200 acion to even be able to buy it. And then save 7500 more acoin. Probably going to stop playing my f2p account and just play my main.

Not sure why you are forced to farm low players. Do you mean for the achievements? As I said, the dev are looking into the issues all are having with completing these. So I would just wait on those. I do agree that you do feel forced to buy stuff you dont want or need though. But if they do add more ways to get acoins (like the dailies that hopefully come back), then I dont think it will be too bad.
The gear Hub is a money grab. It forces you to upgrade stuff you never wanted to use ever. The stuff they want me to purchase to unlock stars is stuff I never wanted. This might be the final nail in the coffin for this game as far as I'm concerned
The gear hub doesnt feel like a money grab at all to me. Namely because the old progress path had hardly any of the recent items on it and you can progress with spending like I have on my alt. Though I do agree that you need to buy some items you dont care about so it feels like a waste.

I've been playing since the beta of this game started and I'm not going that far back in time just to check some boxes. One nice thing I noticed was with more daily's available I can cycle my weekly tasks quicker which is nice for the Acoins 😊

3:55 The only acoin daily I had was Use 2K Credits. The ads didn't give acoins, and I didn't even know about the Gold Medal and Wins ones! I contacted support and they said that some players (like me) are randomly assigned to test features and these dailies are one of them. I told them it wasn't fair. So hopefully they normalize these soon. I'm not a fan of the idea that RNG dictates I lose a dollar of acoins a day.
I really like the new gear hub… it’s better for wisely operating your hangar. 30 mvp’s with a $2 weapon becomes logical tier + stars = bot strength (loosely)

The problem remains that everything you could possibly obtain is sh*t unless you get it to at least 6 stars or, ideally, maxed out to purple stars-which will cost you $150-$200-because the bots are OP beyond reasoning. They shoot EMs and dodge your shots faster than any player can. Bastion as a bot now is completely broken OP. So it’s not a fun experience at all. They only thing that is fun is playing with and against all live players in a game.
I'll go ahead and be the guy to say: players really don't need to finish those Gear Hub tasks, it's really not a make-or-break like some like to pretend it is. You can save tons of resources by not finishing them, even as a new player with none of the weird setbacks.
But with that said, those aforementioned "weird setbacks" still don't make sense to me. "Buy 2 tier 2 mechs", I have 3 of them, but I don't have that task complete because I don't have Slingshot, which, in my mind, is unnecessary. Lots of players SHOULD have already completed a lot of those...
I haven't completed it all, cause my winrate and resources is more important than finishing those task 😅
I thought we would have access to all the pilots as well…I have been waiting for Baron for a long time and the only way to get Baron is to pay for it and that pilot has been out for a long time. They really need to reduce the time it takes for free to play to get access to some of these items. Thanks!
pilots have always been on a separate system from mechs and weapons. They actually do come into the game for ingame currency faster than mechs and weapons typically do, but also have a premium period. Hopefully Baron will come in soon.

So basically for example you need to upgrade rank star tier 4 mech/weapon to unlocked tier 5, not upgrading tier 5 mech/weapon itself.

Not the way it used to be. It technically did just come back as the new playoff. They switched it to this playoff format. No one really likes it though.

Good question! You get the 1 star for the rank up from 5 to 6. But you dont get extra stars for the second copy.

Hey Scape . the only thing I like about Gear Hub is the 'everything view'. Remember progress path ?; you had to scroll blindly down the path to see what you could eventually get . Now everything is pretty much visible , but it's a money pit business ...😢
The Gear Hub Chapters are SO BUGGED!! How come i can't get credit for stuff I already own or maxed out. It took so long for them to do this and its so wonky. The gear Hub also runs like crap on PC. Sliders are lagging and you have to click more times to get to what you are looking for.
For all new players, I recommend unlocking what you need to but don't upgrade anything. Play with Unlocked content as is and save resources. The sooner you start upgrading your hanger the faster the bots/players become more OP.
Wasting resources is exactly my issue. I'm in tier 5 need only one more star to go straight to tier 8 but I don't want to get cheetah or nade launcher 10 but looks like I have no other choice.
No you do - if you only need 1 star, rank up something in the tier that you actually like. I would assume its cheaper than buying those other items. I bet a rare item would be fairly inexpensive.

Yes I know thats been a tough pill to swallow. I figured the discount wasnt forever, but it did feel like it was gone fast from when they told us about it going. I assume they needed to for various reasons in game as well as overall profits. Sad to see, but it is a business too. Just sucks for us.

1 problem with the gearhub tasks is that because i have had early access to the gear hub not all of my gear hub tasks are compeleted, and some of the are impossible to complete or would be a lot of resources
Grinding A coin takes YEARS. If only there was a easier way😔😤😭
The extra A coin dailies are far from enough for the retarted prices they've placed on things
I dunno. I think it can. 115 acoins a day (not including what you get in crates from the ads) would mean you go from:
Legendary: Around 4 months
Epic: 46 days
Rare: 2 weeks
Uncommon: 5 days
To now roughly:
Legendary: A little more than 3 months
Epic: Less than a month
Rare: 8 days
Uncommon: 3 days
And depending on your luck for events, crates, and fortune crate stuff when you open those, these can move faster as it sometimes has on my alt. To me this would be huge to speed things up.

In practice it makes the game feel even more forced pay 2 play than it was before this feature dropped.
Upgrading your mechs and weapons are already insanely expansieve so placing retarted buy prices would lake the game unbearable for most f2p players and thus they will lose a big chunk of the player base because they'll get fed up with losing against all those bots and p2p players 🤦🏻♂️ yeah the M.A. dev team really thought this release through.
Also for the items that are still cash/crate locked why don't they just switch it up? 🤷Set a price for an item and when de deal ends that item returns to the hub for ingame currency instead of locking it up again for no reason ( since they've said the hub will make everything accessable ).
In short this feature is awesome but how it stands now it's a cash grab ontop of how much of a cash grab the game already felt

Like i mentioned, they are working on it. I assume it was taken away so everyone is on even footing till its fixed, but I dont know. I will continue to ask them about it this week though.
I can't say that I like Gear hub. To complete the Gear hub achievements you will have to get mechs and weapons that you don't want or need. To make things worse, you must expend time, credits, and Acoins with no significant return on your investment. Fortunately, I already have the mechs and weapons I want, so I will likely just ignore the Gear hub stuff.
it cost me 2m credits and 4k a coins to get to tier 7.altough thats where i will be stuck since you have to buy atleast 3-5 legendary mechs to progress and everything costs 9k a coins.
Yes it gets very expensive towards the end, but if you are on tier 7, you are pretty much at the end and able to get some of the best items in the game already.

Yeah, the point of the GH should be for everything to be on there and be reasonably accessible, whether for real $ or in-game currency. Some of the stuff on there is locked and there is no way to get it. Also if you have mostly everything, you are stuck in this situation where the GH is irrelevant because everything new coming out is $$$$$ real money purchase only. So not much of a purpose for longtime players that have mostly everything.

Was about to get Disc launcher 8, needed a few tens of thousands credits, then gear hub came ane fu**ed up everything, now disc launcher is 2 tiers away and many stars away, what could have been only 832k credits for a good weapon, turned into millions of credits and thousands of acoins for a crapton of weapons that are at best useless.
In other words, I'm not that happy with gear hub lol
And although 25 a coins within 3 weeks adds up to 525, not everyone are able to play daily, so it would be tougher for some people to get a coins

Yea the new system has its benefits and flaws just like any system does. This one works well for new players. For long standing players its a mixed bag. Some are happy they can get items they never got before, but others are upset that they have to spend extra resources to get there. Both are valid points and it varies per experience.

Gearhub is just another big fail from the devs. Close to a year in development with months of testing, and it's filled with bugs galore. It's just an attempt to drive spending, not actually help players.

I quit this game when they ended the free implant swapping. It's obvious the devs want you to pay real money for everything. They've taken away the ability to earn A coins at a reasonable rate unless your buying them. They removed things like the Vault Blitz, etc. It's ridiculous the amount of greed this company has. It's sad as this is by far my favorite game right now. Too bad it's being run by clueless people.
So the devs say they are aware of achievements that can't even be completed by veteran players, yet they still put it into the game. Stupid. How the hell do you not know this before implementing it into the game!

It's too fragile and the mines are embarrassingly easy to moves around (or dash/jump over) the only reason it could be somewhat considered good would be it's buff to 24 energy
I'm on pc and I'm still waiting for a bug to be fixed, almost every time I get stasis on me I can't move my mech and when I can I'm extra slow
stasis is supposed to make you slow, but not entirely freeze you. Have you tried redownloading the game? Or playing on other devices to see if its the same?
@@scape211 yes I have and I happened on both of my devices I started on Android and when to PC after, PC I a lot better than my phone performance wise but stasis is still not working as intended, I have you friended on discord and I'll stream to you a couple of battles so you can see too

Gear hub right now for me is dumb. I had 6000 acoin. Need 7500 for disc 12. Now i have to spend 925750 credits and 11200 acion to even be able to buy it. And then save 7500 more acoin. Probably going to stop playing my f2p account and just play my main.

Not sure why you are forced to farm low players. Do you mean for the achievements? As I said, the dev are looking into the issues all are having with completing these. So I would just wait on those.
I do agree that you do feel forced to buy stuff you dont want or need though. But if they do add more ways to get acoins (like the dailies that hopefully come back), then I dont think it will be too bad.
The gear Hub is a money grab. It forces you to upgrade stuff you never wanted to use ever. The stuff they want me to purchase to unlock stars is stuff I never wanted. This might be the final nail in the coffin for this game as far as I'm concerned
The gear hub doesnt feel like a money grab at all to me. Namely because the old progress path had hardly any of the recent items on it and you can progress with spending like I have on my alt. Though I do agree that you need to buy some items you dont care about so it feels like a waste.

I've been playing since the beta of this game started and I'm not going that far back in time just to check some boxes.
