Your viewers have told you time and again we want on the water videos, education plus entertainment is where it’s at. Your channel would blow up, guaranteed!
Yes. It’s one thing to sit behind a camera and explain a technique. It’s ten times more powerful to see that technique in action actually catching fish.
Once I read what Buck Perry wrote that "fish are shallow, deep or somewhere inbetween" I knew. Then I read Outdoor Life, Field and Stream, Sports Afield, In-Fisherman and B.A.S.S. magazine for 5 decades. And I knew. What did I know.? Bass like all fish are dumb as a fish. They'll bite any day, any time, any season on anything sometimes. You can throw from feather to lead and that dumbbass will try to bite it. Sometimes. I found out when fish want to bite a 2 year old can catch them. And when they don't Bassmaster Champions can't catch a bullhead. I know. 67 years of experience. This is where educational saturation brings you.
I think it’s overload!! So many pros have jumped on the social media bandwagon wagon, So yes off the chart!! So that’s the main reason for me. Also honestly, some videos are wash, rinse and Repeat and I don’t watch.
I can only speak for myself, and I saw the swimbait video, don't even remember seeing the wacky rig one, but the reason I did not watch the swimbait video is my thought when I saw the thumbnail, oh great another swimbait video as right now, RUclips is saturated with swimbait, jerkbait and A Rig videos, you've seen one you've seen them all, not much difference in any. Randy, I know you've heard this over n over but I really want to see on the water stuff. If you do a jerkbait lesson, video the trip and post it. On the water jerkbait, small swimbait, crankbait and jig videos right now would bet great stuff!
A few points to possibly explain what you're seeing in terms of video traffic: First, when you started your channel there were maybe 10 decent RUclips fishing sites. Now, there must be at least 500 fishing channels! 2nd, the audience wants to see fishing primarily rather than talking head shows. Third, a large portion of the potential audience want to see snappy editing, drone shots, split screens, underwater views of takes, etc. BTW, I'm 77 and still an old school bass fisherman who finally bought a small Garmin side-scanner 5 years ago. Can't say that it's helped me catch more bass but it does add a bit of entertainment!
Four years ago everyone was home... COVID as for what I would like is some tidal water bass fishing. I'm not close to a lake, but have several tidal rivers. I still watch all your fishing videos and have tuned out on the DRAMA videos.
I'm sorry but the content you create is not alot of work, it's like you only use a cellphone. Invest in some quality action cameras and do some real editing. Talking to your phone in selfie mode isn't going to cut it these days. Complaining about ffs is going to burn out as far as making it your niche goes.
It's actually quit simple: (1) RUclips channels have a limited life span, unless they are extraordinarily unique or are constantly evolving (your channel is not unique nor is it evolving - it's been the same forever) (2) Videos on traditional bass techniques have dwindling appeal due to (a) the impact of FFS and (2) the demise of shallow water bass you've discussed frequently. (3) The channels I find most interesting are the ones that are on-the-water. As a kayak angler, my favorite is NDyakangler. It's superb (and he fishes smaller water). (4) Stories from the past have little appeal to younger anglers (what happened to you during a tournament in 1987 is not relevant or interesting to most people) (5) You got the biggest boost in subscribers when you covered the walleye cheating scandal - covering topics and not techniques may be the key to keeping your channel alive (6) Think about getting FFS (if you can't beat 'em, join 'em) and focus on teaching the responsible use of the technology to older anglers. You're never going to appeal to younger anglers - age bias is real. Therefore, focus on what older anglers are interested in. Do a series of videos that span your journey into the world of FFS . You could easily do 10 videos on this topic. And show your subscribers interesting things. For example, produce a video on how you can avoid hitting trees in shallow water coves by forward-focusing the beam and working around invisible, barely submerged trees. That's simply one example. Just some thoughts. Good luck.
If I want to learn how to play golf, I’m not going to watch some guy sitting in his office talking about the process, not even touching a golf club. If I want to get fishing tips, I go watch KVD, MikeyBalzz, Scott Martin, Tactical Bassin…..they all tell you how to catch fish, show you how to catch fish, and then they catch fish. I just come here to laugh at the comments. 😂
I think you're on to something. Can you please start a YT channel where you show yourself out on the waster and all these 100s of bass you're catching on every trip because you turned on FFS. It would really help the rest of us out there with FFS who turn on our units every trip and don't catch hundreds of bass which is what Randy keeps telling us happens if you own FFS.
Bad time of year for watching fishing vids. In most places winter is here and were waiting until spring to get back out. The interest will be higher as spring comes around to watch fishing vids on RUclips. Plus most people would like to see you on the water catching fish. Not just talking about it. Cheers! Tight lines!
There’s thousands of videos with “fishing secrets “ “why your not catching bass” 99 percent of anglers dont know” it’s really tough to stand out right now you have to be creative and original. That being said I enjoy the channel
The most popular TV shows in history only have about a ten year good run. Entertainment is a difficult business to be in because sooner or later the content becomes repetitive or viewers have moved on to different areas of interest. It's not personal Randy, its just show business.
Well Randy, it goes to show you that your criticism of college kids using legal methods to catch fish is getting old. Stop calling kids that use legal methods and follow the rules cheaters. You need to use adult methods to get any sort of change.
I don’t know what you’re lately is but a good portion of the country has snow on the ground and ice on the ramps. It’s hard to get pumped about bass fishing when it’s going to be months before we’re able to go. We’d also like to see a few of your techniques put into action. Hop in the boat buddy.
Well it's bad weather for fishing in US for many folks. That might account for a lot of it. Not sure how long it took the other videos to get that many views, maybe give them some more time and it will increase in spring. Also, people might rather see a video of you actually fishing from the boat or bank fishing, instead of sitting in a garage staring right at the camera. Change it up some.
When I look for technique videos I like the videos that spend more time on the water and show underwater movements to show what they are talking about. Don't get me wrong you can absorb a lot without those features but some people are just more visual learners so when they see it its like a lightbulb goes off.
One thing to remember, those videos were during Covid. Every one was sitting at home on the internet for hours. Things are different today….I watch all your videos, but I am retired and have plenty of time to spend on RUclips….
Never a day when Randy won't cry or complain about something. You have a low effort youtube channel and you expect people to worship the ground you walk on.
Most people cant or wont apply information you put on here. You talk about how people dont watch you mental aspect of fishing. For the life of me I cant understand why people dont see the improtance of that. Another thing is everyone wants instant gratification. Our (mine and yours Randy) way of fishing is not instant. Its work. We are a dying breed Randy, come to grips with it. Im fine with fishing with NO ELECTRONICS. Who is with me on that.
Even Randy’s generation had and used electronics, if they had FFS back then they’d have all been using it too. Banning tournaments would improve fishing 20 times more than banning any piece of technology that a relatively small percentage of people can even purchase let alone use effectively.
I think there are a few factors, some of which you hit on the head: for one, right now it's 22 degrees outside here. I'm not fishing. I'm trying to bury the desire to get out there, not enhance it. 2: a glut of fishing videos. If something is rare, I think you're likely to be more interested. Even for yourself: do you have to post a video every day? 3. You never take us on the water. Tips about lure modification are all well and good, but then how do you use it? You say that we think we know more than we do, and that's probably right. Most people think they do. But I also think that there are those of us who are probably older and primarily out there for the beauty and peace and fun of it who are basically content with what we do and how it works out. I don't try a lot of new types of baits these days. When I do, I don't find that I am successful with them (the ned and wacky being the exceptions), so I tend to quickly go back to what I know works for me. If I can only get out for a few hours once a week, even if I'm just in it for the fun, I don't want to get skunked trying something new. You say that your opinion videos and "current events" videos get more hits. For me, that's because I don't have a media outlet that covers these topics. If I have 10 minutes and I've got a stick bait modification video or a "this guy got caught cheating" video, I'm going with the cheater. I do really enjoy your videos. As I said, you're one of two anglers whose videos I watch. Thanks for all of the effort you put in.
Bass fishing videos aren't the 'only fish in the sea'. I also watch Collage football, NFL, classic cars, race tracks, nascar, dirt racing, muscle cars, grilling videos, podcast videos, music videos (CCR). So, whenever I'm in the mood I might watch your videos......
Those on the water videos in my opinion are popular you can show modifications on RUclips but I myself would like to see more videos on jerk bait fishing with you on the water I realize that you make money on the booking on the water fishing trips but not all people can afford to pay this just a suggestion I do think you are a top notch Angler.
I’m a year round bass fisherman and I will never stop watching your videos are so important to my success on the water you have taught me so much thank you
I would agree with some of the comments where on the water is nice however don’t fall into the trap of having on the water and just 20 minutes of watching you cast and catch a fish if you can marry the instructional part with on the water so we can see how you cast the cadence of your retrieves, etc. I think that will be helpful
Correct. The catching part would be the most difficult part for any of Randy's on the water videos. Could take hours judging for his latest tournament results.
Sometimes, you just need to think out of the box and make some changes.I would add some new cameras and demonstrate some techniques on the water. Catching fish while using jerkbaits would be great.
I mean others have mentioned it, fishing videos blow up spring and summer and die out fall and winter. Nothing has changed and it won't. Just like sports people care about football when it's football season and what not.
I think you would do way better if you had more tourney videos, and on water tutorials. That’s what I like watching the most from fishing based channels.
Randy, Its old news. the videos are in your shop and not on the water. On the water videos with results speaks in volumes. Not to say the in shop videos are not full of content. if you have the video explained then show it on the water, now youre cooking!
I will usually watch a technique video when I plan on throwing that lure. So when a technique video comes out, I might pass on it until I am ready to go out and fish that technique. I like hearing about industry news, gear, and bait reviews. I watched the jerk bait videos because I plan to throw that in these cold months.
Randy there's too much fishing content now and covid gave it tremendous boost when alot of new anglers took up fishing. Also I watched alot content over the years and I have other interests outdoors like bushcraft, mountain hiking, and hunting even though I don't any I just like watching it. There isn't enough time to watch all
It’s also kind of funny that you’re so into technology such as RUclips and Internet because it benefits you. But so against technology when it comes to fishing because it hurts you. If you embraced all technology, not just what benefits you. You could be a better angler. Why don’t you make videos of you out fishing? Is it because you don’t catch enough to make content? Why do you not do that? Show your tips and modifications in action, maybe people would watch.
I always try and watch all of your videos but to be truthful I have been busy with work. I did read some other comments on here and some mentioned maybe try coming up with another hook for what you are presenting. I know that you are busy and I know this takes time and some $$$ but throw in an on the water demonstration (bank or on the boat) like how to pitch a jig or different techniques when using a jerkbait. Yea I am aware that you use your phone for videos and it's not easy. Your videos are really great and I have learned A LOT from you, it is really appreciated. I have bought my share of tackle from what you have presented to us and I am really enjoying it all! Hope you and your family had a Happy Thanksgiving!!
I agree. More are looking to be entertained than educated. Although I’m no pro, but im seeing this on my channel as well. Although I’m no pro, I mainly wade fish. No boat no kayak just a pair of hip waders and a passion for fishing. I don’t know in what order, but the most important things I think is the thumbnail, title and your own personality. Personality I think is very important. I may not agree with everything you say, I got great respect for what you’re doing. Keep up the good fight! There’s one thing about wade fishing. You don’t need live scope.
Viewers have realized RUclips is over-saturated with creators who are only creating content for the purpose of pimping their affiliate links, while pretending they’re doing us a favor by sharing another lame “secret tip, trick or bait”. There are literally thousands of the same exact videos being posted each day, and the only difference is the guy sitting in his garage. It’s not that viewers think they already know it all. It’s that we’ve already seen hundreds or thousands of videos telling us how to fish a jerk bait or how to rig a 3” swim bait. Creators have become lazy, lack originality, and treat the viewers as if they’re stupid.
This, I'm tired of hearing about affiliate links in the description. I don't buy anything someone says to buy because next week it will be something else you need to buy.
You answered your own question.Oversaturated market.Different people like different personalities. You can only rehash so much. What's being talked about now has probably already been talked about before. With one click you can find out about anything you want. It's come down to the entertainment factor for most viewers.
ON THE WATER videos get it for me..especially when people are trying to sell products. We want to see how they are used and that they catch fish (NOT ON A PRIVATE POND)...Tactical Bassin has it down pat...try that style
Personally I'd rather see the tip videos over the rant videos. When I first discovered your channel it was almost all tips. Now it seems it's more rant than tips. Maybe 3 channels is to much. One channel is all tips as it seems. Then another is about rants and what's going on in the fishing world. Then the 3td is the advanced videos. I think on the water on how to works baits and more tips would help. I love the lure mod videos. Nothing better than learning that stuff from the guys that's been there done that. Just my thought I'll still continue to watch when time allows me to.
I’m not one of those guys cause I watch every video you put out and I love and look forward to the tip and techniques so keep plugging away and you be the only one left teaching us how to thx for your tips and techniques I’ll be here as long as your are
In addition to covid comment, for me it has become the ridiculous number and type of RUclips ADS . Its almost not worth watching with the interruptions...
I'll just say after fishing Tablerock and watching the tournament trail grow like an out of control wildfire, that it's no longer about bait modifications for me, its no longer about lake map breakdowns that regurgitate the same old fish here in these conditions or fish points this time of year, it just doesn't work! The problem is when a lake and the fish are getting the piss beat out of them, the fish make themselves scarce or harder to catch because they've seen all 10,000 lures that Tackle Warehouse sells! Want to keep everyone's attention? Get out on the water and actually show these guys how to find fish that are constantly moving due to the number of fisherman jacking their jaws! Show videos on finding fish that are feeding! You're not stupid Randy, use your head and your talent!
I remember watching Jimmy Huston when he would have 50 views, in comes a deer , new ball game. Find something else people are interested in the winter. Don't be a one trick pony. Most of the comments are pretty solid. Condense your subject matter short as possible while still getting you message across.
I’ve seen a few of the younger guys videos and it seems like they’re coping your content. Your 7:42 channel is by far the best bass fishing channel by far. I’ve been fishing for more than 50 years and at 66 years old I’ve learned some serious juice from you over the last few years. I actually watch many of your videos 2 and 3 times. Keep up the videos Randy I love them.
No clue Randy. I never have stopped learning fishing technique. I love your flipping videos and used that back in the day. Flipping was so hot in Pads or cypress knees.
I’ve been a subscriber since around that 15-20k time. I’ve checked out on the drama videos, but I know I’m in the minority. On the water, and a variety of settings would be great. But if you can’t or don’t want to do those, I’ll still view as much as my schedule allows. Thank you for all of the knowledge you have provided thus far.
First, 4 years ago, everyone was home with covid. Fishing and new anglers exploded. Second, storytelling is key. I know you tried and couldn't make it work, but as the comments here suggest, for a percentage of videos, you need to be on the water. I, as well as others, would be happy to guide you through a process that will work well and be simple. And the equipment will run less than $1200. Make it $2000, and you can rock some drone footage. Last, you need to either get to some research or hire a media marketing agency that knows how to manipulate algorithms and use your social channels to drive traffic. It's like any business. You have to keep reinvesting. Reach out if you want to speak more. I don't do this for a living. But I had to learn how to run my business. And happy to share.
I watch the channle alot. There is a ton of info. (1) The fishing fans are overly saturated with fishing how to's all over yourube. (2) I think that underwater footage with a split of the rod technique might help. I think you may better numbers if you combine rig setup, execution and rod technique on the water along with underwater footage. You have. Alot of videos and alot if great info but most of us suck at fishing and need a fishing for dummies approach. Post less often but give more content IMO. Thanks for what you do.
I watch your videos that explain techniques, or go into depth about ways to break stuff down. But… a lot of your videos just express negativity. Example the “choose your side” video you just put out about sonar. Those are the ones I click off quickly and watch something else. I honestly think less videos but longer ones with better quality content in terms of you actually put on the water whether it’s just straight up catching, or breaking down a new bait etc would do your channel the world of good That way you still get family/work time but your content is more intriguing. Anyways, best of luck mate.
It's not just about tips. There are just too many bass related videos. If randy watched them ALL, he wouldn't have time to fish or do videos. And everyone is trying to generate a SALE.
What you are doing is great, Randy. I know in my case your videos, along with several others, dissappear from my feed for periods of time. I have to go to my subscriptions and click on the channels, and then they will show back up again in my feed.
There are a lot of fishing RUclipsrs. The views are still there, just more spread around now. Most people aren't going to watch every video on a subject. Which ever video about a certain thing pops up first, people watch it and move on to the next subject.
Hey Randy , I like watching on the water lesson when you show different techniques and different scenarios. I enjoy Matt Stephans videos when he teaches on the water techniques and shows it while he's fishing, maybe its just me .
I want to see on the water videos that are educational. I want to see fish being caught. What I don’t want to see is click bait titles and complaining.
I am a new subscriber and just returning to fishing. I used to do more salt water and catfishing, bass fishing is new for me. The bait, rods, reels and techniques are all new to me. When I stopped fishing it was in the 90s and I only fished with others. Now at 56, it has been 27 years and fishing has leveled up a lot. What I would like being a novice, is a few reel and rod and line setup with bait recommendations. I have been researching (spinner reels vs baitcasters) and what scenerios to use them I am here for the education and education can be fun. Maybe (only a suggestion) when you are discussing a bait, techique etc is to provide a demonstration.
The cheapest and best way is to join a bass club. Most at that level are willing to share, show you the popular techniques on a given body of water. Don't worry about any age difference. All ages have some knowledge to share A basic knowledge of bass behavior is a start. Keeping a log of every trip will shorten the learning curve of putting the pieces of the puzzle together. You are never to old to join a bass club.
Covid and FFS videos have given you a false sense of the true number of people willing to watch your technique videos. JMO, but your channel views are closer to reality now. That and you're unwilling to change. People have given you advice until they are blue in the face, and you just keep doing the same thing. Your views will change when you decide to change.
I will never be priced out I fish farm ponds and streams small impoundments. I have a 10' jon boat and a wide canoe trolling motor and 3.3 Johnson. I catch plenty of fish less pressure and a whole lot less money.
“Priced out “ is a lazy argument. Anyone can make choices and save to buy a simple combo or two and a tackle bag with a few lures. The problem is people think if they can’t buy it right now with what extra money they have it is out of their price range when all they have to do is just save up for a few months or a year to get what they want.
Id rather watch you on the water fishing and catching bass, rather than you sitting in youre truck or basement and talking about bass fishing. This is just my opinion for what its worth
I know wacky rigs catch fish. That's great. But you won't ever catch me wacky rigging a Senko. It just won't happen. I catch too many fish the way I fish, to do that. I'm not hating on anybody, but I think it's silly.
I weightless Texas rig my Senkos. Here in Western WA there is too much grass and mill foil and Lilly pads. Wacky rigging you snag up and get weeds alot more.
Live scope guys, they know all.lol they think they know it all.I am 71 years old ,I been fishing since I was five, still learn something all the time.I been fishing deep for years. People used laughed at me , when told them I caught them out 40 plus feet deep. All I used death finder and that’s all got today.Randy, that’s a old man way to catch bass without a live scope.Merry Christmas,Randy and all the non cheater boxers, the fishermen .0:43
I appreciate all your content just speaking for myself. I fish off the bank been thinking about buying me a kayak for this upcoming spring and summer season. Sometimes I think it’s overwhelming with all of the fish content out there and all of the Bates being thrown at you and techniques. I think normal guys that just fish because they love it. They don’t tournament fish can’t go down the rabbit hole of all of the different styles of baits and techniques. I follow all three of your channels watch most of the videos I would say..
My wife left, i have 3 kids, now i dont always like watching these videos bc i can't really get out anymore Also I've learned that living up north with 10-20ft of viz on a protected lake with no big motors or pwc seems to be a very different scenario than southern main stream bass'n so those are probably the 2 reasons I haven't watched as much bass content although I am grateful that you do differentiate
My two cents: I do enjoy your fishing tips and insight from your experience. As you said, there are many people putting out content these days, and it is obvious they are getting thier ideas from other guys channels, even the tag lines are similar more often than not. You need to find something that sets what you are offering apart from the others. You need a unique “hook” to get viewers to pick your sight vs. the hundreds/ thousands of others. Again, I respect what your are doing and admire your commitment to your family.
Anglers want on the water videos proving that what you’re saying works. Not videos in a garage or a truck. Also people are sick of hearing you whine about FFS. Just stay away from the subject. It’s not rocket science when you’re constantly putting down what 95% of fishermen like to do. Just don’t man.
As a loyal member, take this to heart. I've been reviewing your content since the beginning. Please consider that you may have changed, and not the followers. Your earlier vids with bait modification... you didn't have as many viewers,... the numbers would've been down. Then, you chose a stance that has increased your viewership, and even your popularity for many reasons... and I applaud it. But you have to realize that you lost many viewers because of it. Fact is, that you chose a side and not everyone followed. You became an industry complainer and not an educator any more; in many circles. If you get your wish, I bet you're YT income potential will plummet. Your approach was off.
People wanna see bass fishing videos of people actually bass fishing. 99% of your videos are either filmed in your garage or in your car. We wanna see your tips and techniques result in fish catches.
You are like watching CNN. Repeated negativity is not fun to watch. We are all tired of it. "Just stop talking",, follow your own words. Just stop. Yes,, you told everyone on this channel to shut up and quit talking. Now its your turn.
I watch what pertains to me. I love jerkbait fishing and pay particular attention to that. I'm a small river and creek fisherman so some things do not relate. Your recent vids on water temp do not talk about the water I fish as far as temp goes. The temps in our rivers are dipping towards freezing. You talk about temps in the 40's and 50's.
I like creek fishing adventures. Mix it up. I like your on the water lessons. Dock fishing, etc. You probably got a lot of views 2 years ago because you were new. Do your mods on the boat. Let's see them work.
Your viewers have told you time and again we want on the water videos, education plus entertainment is where it’s at. Your channel would blow up, guaranteed!
Facts!!
He won't answer you....
Yes. It’s one thing to sit behind a camera and explain a technique. It’s ten times more powerful to see that technique in action actually catching fish.
@@johndoran7331and I’m tryin to help him out
dude he will teach you how to fail in todays fishing, he is so old school his stats from the last twenty years suck lol
Get a camera mount for that sweet new Vexus and show us how/where and what to use on the water and your channel will grow exponentially
I think you are asking for too much. It’s not enough to tell you what to do…have to show you. He literally shows how to work baits and everything
Dude, nobody is copying your videos...lol
People now days want to see someone actually fishing showing proof of what you're saying! Times have changed Sir !!!
On the water videos of you fishing, catching, explaining. Educate and entertain.
Half the country can't fish for bass anymore, or it's dang close their water is freezing up
Agree. I’m watching deer hunting and ice fishing videos this time of year.
Four years ago everyone was home... COVID as for what I would like is some tidal water bass fishing. I'm not close to a lake, but have several tidal rivers. I still watch all your fishing videos and have tuned out on the DRAMA videos.
We want videos shot on the water from the Vexus
Preferably creeks & rivers
I'm sorry but the content you create is not alot of work, it's like you only use a cellphone. Invest in some quality action cameras and do some real editing. Talking to your phone in selfie mode isn't going to cut it these days. Complaining about ffs is going to burn out as far as making it your niche goes.
"the cheater box" is all he fuckin talks about lol
Hunting season
People are maybe getting burnt out...or just tuning you out for their own reasons.
It's actually quit simple:
(1) RUclips channels have a limited life span, unless they are extraordinarily unique or are constantly evolving (your channel is not unique nor is it evolving - it's been the same forever)
(2) Videos on traditional bass techniques have dwindling appeal due to (a) the impact of FFS and (2) the demise of shallow water bass you've discussed frequently.
(3) The channels I find most interesting are the ones that are on-the-water. As a kayak angler, my favorite is NDyakangler. It's superb (and he fishes smaller water).
(4) Stories from the past have little appeal to younger anglers (what happened to you during a tournament in 1987 is not relevant or interesting to most people)
(5) You got the biggest boost in subscribers when you covered the walleye cheating scandal - covering topics and not techniques may be the key to keeping your channel alive
(6) Think about getting FFS (if you can't beat 'em, join 'em) and focus on teaching the responsible use of the technology to older anglers.
I just don't need tips anymore. I just point my FFS at the fish and they jump in the boat.
Maybe people want to see more on the water techniques and see some bass being caught on them.
over saturation. Just like the way Megabass get people to buy useless colors by doing a respect series color each month. Fishing does have a ceiling
I think it’s because we’ve watched so many techniques we know them and learn from them
And now we’re looking for something new to try
I’m a year round bass fisherman and I will never stop watching your videos are so important to my success on the water you have taught me so much thank you
Thx Dennis
I would agree with some of the comments where on the water is nice however don’t fall into the trap of having on the water and just 20 minutes of watching you cast and catch a fish if you can marry the instructional part with on the water so we can see how you cast the cadence of your retrieves, etc. I think that will be helpful
Correct. The catching part would be the most difficult part for any of Randy's on the water videos. Could take hours judging for his latest tournament results.
Its pretty simple, its cold outside and winter is coming.
Randy, I totally appreciate everything you do. Very informative!
Thanks for being a great teacher!
Less bitchin more fishin is where it’s at!
I really try to catch all of your video's, and I did see the swim bait modification one, I appreciate what you're doing!
Yes I love your bait model that you do
I watch most of your videos Randy. I enjoy the opinion pieces, but I'm all for more technique and tip videos. 👍👍👍
Cuz it's cold for most of the country holidays alot of guys out huntin videos that I watch now I proly won't remember an rewatch in ice out
Personally I'd rather see the tip videos over the rant videos.
I’m not one of those guys cause I watch every video you put out and I love and look forward to the tip and techniques so keep plugging away and you be the only one left teaching us how to thx for your tips and techniques I’ll be here as long as your are
People are becoming burned out on you tube videos. The novelty of you tube is wereing of.
In addition to covid comment, for me it has become the ridiculous number and type of RUclips ADS . Its almost not worth watching with the interruptions...
BINGO. Yes, saturation.
Same here. I'll rewatch videos while working on tackle.
If you have watched any of his videos over the years, one thing is for certain. The old mans thought process is set in stone. It ain't gonna change
I honestly think less videos but longer ones with better quality content in terms of you actually put on the water whether it’s just straight up catching, or breaking down a new bait etc would do your channel the world of good
That way you still get family/work time but your content is more intriguing.
Anyways, best of luck mate.
To many RUclipsrs. Over saturation. Randy please don’t change your channel ! Thank you for what you do !
It's not just about tips. There are just too many bass related videos. If randy watched them ALL, he wouldn't have time to fish or do videos. And everyone is trying to generate a SALE.
I like to see more fishing from the boat 7:42
More?
@@Nonamejustcommonsense Best comment, ROFLMAO.
Which ever video about a certain thing pops up first, people watch it and move on to the next subject.
forward facing phone screens
Hey Randy ,
I like watching on the water lesson when you show different techniques and different scenarios.
I have been researching (spinner reels vs baitcasters) and what scenerios to use them
I am here for the education and education can be fun.
Randy RUclips is flooded with bass videos.
Also, most guys are simply priced out of the sport.
@ People on SS and not working where are you going to pull a $100 grand out of your azz.
@@Rightiswrong-qv5ul Fishing for most is a want, not a need. The economy is the biggest factor in the decline in fishing or interest in fishing.
Like u Randy more fishing less BS Lv u sho
Id rather watch you on the water fishing and catching bass, rather than you sitting in youre truck or basement and talking about bass fishing. This is just my opinion for what its worth
I know wacky rigs catch fish. That's great. But you won't ever catch me wacky rigging a Senko. It just won't happen. I catch too many fish the way I fish, to do that. I'm not hating on anybody, but I think it's silly.
I weightless Texas rig my Senkos. Here in Western WA there is too much grass and mill foil and Lilly pads. Wacky rigging you snag up and get weeds alot more.
@ Same thing in central Florida.
Over saturation for sure.......and its way too cold now
Also, videos on finding the bass work. Shore and deep water. That's the only "hard" part of bass fishing.
There is more and more of click bait out there. All the vid makers claim to be experts
Now you are gona start on this shit always something
My two cents:
I do enjoy your fishing tips and insight from your experience.
Less talking, more fishing.
Easy answer you should know. FFS they don't need know how. Watch your spike if you posted something about FFS strategy and secret settings. 😂
I like creek fishing adventures. Mix it up. I like your on the water lessons. Dock fishing, etc. You probably got a lot of views 2 years ago because you were new. Do your mods on the boat. Let's see them work.
I love the educational bass fishing stuff, but there's no way I can try it all out. I don't have that much time.
I learned how to flip a jig or worm 40 yards out.
