- What's better to do on a Sunday afternoon than hang out with the Buckleys? James and Clair bring us along as they chill on a Sunday, go for some lunch and take the boys on a cinema trip! After that, we'll see how James is doing with his healthy eating...place bets now?!

I would personally recommend James to spend as much time as possible with the boys as one day he will wish he had done the little things with them like going to the cinema or trampoline park and from my own experience with my dad, I wish I had more memories of doing things with him he’s not dead or anything but I don’t have the type of relationship with him as I would liked to have had lol anyways sorry for the depression session. Great video as always!

Agreed. My dad died 11 years ago and I’m thankful for all the memories I have of when I was a child. Going swimming, holidays, help with homework etc, it most definitely is the little things that are the memories left behind 😊 ❤

I'm with Claire, when it's sunny I drag everyone into the garden, I built decking, made the grass as best as I could, bought all furniture and a giant parasol for the anti-sun brigade and all I hear is "its hot, The Chase is on, I can't breath...yeah wait until later when the sun goes down, see how you breath with a pillow over your head.
I always feel guilty sitting indoors during the summer! I feel like I should be sat in the garden or out for a nice walk! I think it because we get so much bad weather the rest of the year any days with ☀️ are a blessing 😂
I’m with you too Clair. Always preferred winter months. We have a lovely garden but I just don’t get the fascination with the sun ! Lol. If it wasn’t for the kids id be a hermit !!!!!

I’m with Clair, the sun comes out and you feel like you should be outside! Paddling pools out, BBQ etc I much prefer the Autumn and Winter. We loved James in White Gold 😊 also he was in a play
i`m with you Clair, when the sun is out you almost feels like you being sucked outside to do something. Just gazing into the sunshine makes you feel so much better

3:18 We have exactly the same issue in our house... I'm quite happy to sit about and relax and do nothing on a sunny day, by my Mrs insists that we "go out and do something in the sun" every single time!
Going shopping with my mum would take half the day, because she would meet so many people she knew and talk to them, I just stood and waited for the line from all, how I’ve grown 😂

I’m with Claire! Come autumn the joy of being indoors and snuggling is immense. I spend all summer feeling like I should be outside too! I think when you work from home it’s slight cabin fever, but then it becomes something bigger. Maybe it’s vitamin deficiency or something? Anyway, it’s hard to chill! I’m with Claire big time!

@James dude please chill and do don't do what i did and not do because its crap. Its not about you its about being together. I have followed you both from the beginning and when you started i was happily married. Now i am unhappily alone and Divorced and not seen my kids since April and its not bee through not trying.
My point is no matter how strong you think your relationship is it can change very quickly and and by surprise and you should never take for granted your time with the family growing up and just be there no matter how miserable you feel or tiered because if you ever end up like me you will miss it.
I agree it happened to my other half he never wanted to do family time and it just ripped us apart and tbh the kids are distant from him now. These are very important times because they grow up so fast and then they don't want to spend time with you.

Fabulously Funny Vlog Mr & Mrs B. I love my Landline, it never Rings but when it does it's like a treat. Main quandary is I agree with Clair about Winter & not having to go out BUT I also agree with James as I stop in many Sunny Days, obviously with all the Windows & Doors open, but going out doesn't feel an obligation. Switzerland is my fave Country & Magnolia my fave Colour (JOKING) ;-)
Clair, I think it's being Scottish, we don't get many sunny days so when its sunny we physically can't stay indoors for fear of it disappearing before we enjoy it. And James, I'm subscribed and always like the videos before even watching 😂

This is hilarious. We are in holiday at the warren in abersoch wales…..watching this belly laughing at just how alike we are. The mrs is Clair all over….does everything with the kids….and I make any excuse not to bother going as it’s just thoroughly boring 🤣🤣.

Another great vlog and I agree with two very important points. Firstly, those one sided callers. Do they honestly think that they have to talk so loud that they have to be heard over the distance of the call?! My Nan used to do that too as well as my Mum. Obviously passed down! And secondly, YES to the beetroot on the chips! Here was us thinking James would show his culinary skills for the first time and yet.......no spoilers!!!! And Claire, we love you too!!!! xx

One thing, Clair, please stop leaving your fridge door open when putting shopping away you let all the cold out 😂.
Having the fridge door open for so long would have killed me and my electric wasting ocd😂
James I wouldn’t worry too much about falling asleep in the cinema, I’m a teacher and every time I take the children my eyes automatically shut 🤦🏻♂️😬😂

James has made my dads meal except with beans and tartar sauce. I have had plenty of experience with loud talkers especially on trains, cafes and also my friend who we chat on the phone for about an hour and I always wait for her to end the conversation 😂😂😂😊
Hehe 😂 James talking about his mum on the phone! Coincidentally, my YT profile picture was taken by my mum in the early 90s, shortly after one of those ‘Mum ffs get off the phone’ moments. At that moment, there wasn’t anything much in the fridge and I was getting pretty hangry, mum had said we’d go to Safeway but then the phone rang. The ‘house phone’ was at the bottom of the stairs in the hallway, at this point my mum and been on the phone to one of her teacher friends for almost two hours! Repeated calls from me to hurry up we’re ignored. So, I decided to make her laugh so hard that she had to hang up, I put on a disguise consisting of a shower cap, two Bic razors as sideburns, a pair ok joke glasses from a Christmas cracker and a bit of tin foil from a wrigleys spearmint chewing gum wrappers as some sort of bond-like Jaws teeth 🤣 I crept down the stairs and tapped my mum on the shoulder and said, “We need to go to Safeway NOW!” Luckily it worked, and she laughed so much that she hung up. Unfortunately, my mum was a teacher in the local school and so it took 2 hours to get around Safeway because she knew everyone all the parents, and started chatting again 🤦♂️

I think James's diet will (hopefully) pass three months. Can't believe he's not a fan of days/afternoons-out with the kids! Harrison & Jude will remember those times for the rest of their lives. If they're happy, you're happy (well, Clair is.) then that SURELY is a big win?

I’m totally with you on that James - I used to hate my mum being on the phone when I was a kid. You’d think they’d come to the end of the call, & then someone would say something & it seemed to start all over again! I also used to hate it if my mum bumped into someone she knew when we were out. I’d have to stand there bored for about half an hour whilst they had a gossip.

Difference between summer and winter Clair, you open the Patio/by-folding doors & windows, going outside though, that's entirely a personal choice.
Our son is also in his last term of Primary - it's nuts how quickly the time has gone. Roll on retirement!!!
