184th consecutive day of One Piece, even amongst OP villains Ceasar laugh is priceless. And guys I’m the first one to hit the chat with the hammer when she’s wrong (literally) but FMI armor Haki and Punk Hazard Armor Haki have a different tint (bluish vs purple, then it will change to red in other arcs) there’s no apparent difference but the confusion is understandable
*The blank stare as Luffy blows poison gas out of his ears* here is another dot to connect, another pin on the murder board on which to connect threads of yarn.
I saw a short the other day about the style samurai issued duels and gave these long speeches (which is referenced in shonen sometimes) and it's cool looking back and seeing Kin'emon introduce himself the same way. Also while true Chopper is not hiding improperly...I think it's a sign of him growing up!

To be fair... Chopper isn't trying to hide in those scenes where he's properly peeking... he's peeking... he still doesn't know how to hide... or we could say he got stronger at hiding during the timeskip!
I love that they are clearly suffocating. But Alicia didnt think "Hm maybe he suffocate them with some gas powers"... no, conclusion was "Its genjustsu, they only think that they cant breathe".
I don't know if it's just me, but how is Alicia confused? I'm talking about multiple moments when you're told info that is cut and dry, yet she still get's confused? Like, why and how does she think that Vergo's Armament Haki hardening is any different from Luffy's?
Upsetti that it took you that long to get to the "He's taking their breath away" answer to why people were passing tf out....Proud of you for getting it at all because some people are denser than Brownbeard Brainrot
HAKI OF ALL KIND IS INVISIBLE. WHEN HAKI IS COLORED, ITS FOR THE AUDIENCE SO WE DON'T GET CONFUSED. CHARACTERS CAN SENSE HAKI (Through observation haki), BUT NO ONE CAN SEE IT. (With one exception) AND THIS is LOOOONG Confirmed by oda.
25:32 Nah, Oda just decided to give Armament a visual cue post-timeskip. 28:55 If the water is liquid, it's above freezing. Well, seawater can be a bit below because of the salinity.
Armament Haki does turn whatever it is black for our visualization purporses since it's supposed to be invisible... it didn't happen pre-timeskip because Luffy didn't know about it so it was totally invisible to him. Now that we know about it animators make it black so we know... and then much later... just kinda stop sometimes lol... but right now since its newer whenever they use armament they'll go reverse Michael Jackson.
I sware Alicia you always forget that usually these cuts from one group to another is also a cut back in time because stuff happens at the same time, sangi has not been “swimming with that body for hella long”
When Ivankov helped Luffy to recover from Magellans poison he increased Luffys resilience against poisons by an incredible amount - though Luffy got not completely immune. What later on gave him his chance to receive his first SPOILER.😁
Luffy said previously that Sanji and Zoro also know haki.😂 Alicia looking surprised to that... she either cooks or burns the kitchen down. "- Seymour, the house is on fire!" "- No mother, it's just the northern lights!"
I understand that having chat have access to emotes like the head nodding one and the brain expanded one is nice, but damn do I just get a personal ick when chat uses them to confirm something Alicia is guessing before the show reveals it (again just a personal thing)
Guys please leave likes when you watch these vids. Even if you don't like the current arc, it will guarantee that we will get to the better parts faster
Man I feel like Magellan is the ultimate reason, but between Garp dropping Luffy off in jungles to figure out how to survive (what is and isn't toxic/poisonous), Crocodile's poison knife under the hook, and then continuing to eat random crap I think our boi has been building immunity to everything.
chopper can peak around corners, him sticking his booty out is him trying to hide and he gets anxious and forgets which way to hide so if he isn't scared atm he can peak around
As I understand it the representation of haki has been changed to inform the audience when it is used. Rewatching the show there are very early cases of introducing haki powers (it's fun to notice when some of the strawhats use them occasionally), but as it is finalized into the introduced version it became clear that it has to be shown somehow. You remember, that Luffy said Zoro ia a haki user? I believe that started when he was able to cut steel in Alabasta and is now the reason he can cut buildings. Later it will be depicted with the same black coating of his sword when he does big cut. (The fact that they gradually change Luffy's gear 3 in shape to accentuate what is happening is something I consider to support this theory of style adjustment.)
@@shuiveri5782 Could be that I am dead wrong or the concept which later became haki was still fuzzy. Despite most people saying how amazing the show has, there is definite improvisation inherent in every project. Might be the case here as well. Especially since there seem to be no explanation for these seemingly non-diegetic effects.
Poor Alicia, always trying to think 10 steps ahead of Oda to be clever when sometimes he just does the simplest thing >XD to answer your question at 26:40-ish There's nothing special about Vergo's arm and weapon being black, the black coloring is just a visual indicator of Armament Haki that everyone has now that we, the reader/viewer, know about it Also regarding Vergo's introduction don't worry TOO much about being confused over new characters, Oda's writing is nowhere near the level of "Oh my god! It's X-man from the Y Syndicate!" or anything hokey or drab like that
Man, its surprising how divided the community is in armanent and hardening. Its never explicitly stated but i always found it pretty self explatatory. Haki is invisible, all of its forms. Black is used as an indicator for us, the audience. Secondly, hardening is a haki technique, focusing haki on a single point, but not everyone uses it. Many characters prefer to use haki in different ways or combine it with their devil fruits. Spoilers! Even Kaido i dont think ever used traditional hardening, or if he did and i dont remember, it was a rare instance. It's more common for very close range fighters.
25:32 Sorry, I'm going to "um, actually" this. Before the timeskip, Luffy & the rest weren't trained in Haki enough to see it. Now that they have training, we the audience are now allowed to see it, since they are our viewpoint. Just think of it like Gyo from 'HunterxHunter' - the Nen in the eyeballs trick. You see black, think armament _smack._
Haki has many levels. Basic armament is invisible, then the black sheen. Basic observation is 'feeling a presence', while the next level is more accurate. Conqueror's is just badass no matter how you shake it. Also, wish I could like the video twice simply because you also got angry about Chopper's peeking.

40:45 he learned how on the island for those 2 years
I don't know if it's just me, but how is Alicia confused? I'm talking about multiple moments when you're told info that is cut and dry, yet she still get's confused? Like, why and how does she think that Vergo's Armament Haki hardening is any different from Luffy's?
That zoro being a dependable body guard joke is always euphoric
Upsetti that it took you that long to get to the "He's taking their breath away" answer to why people were passing tf out....Proud of you for getting it at all because some people are denser than Brownbeard Brainrot
HAKI OF ALL KIND IS INVISIBLE.
WHEN HAKI IS COLORED, ITS FOR THE AUDIENCE SO WE DON'T GET CONFUSED.
CHARACTERS CAN SENSE HAKI (Through observation haki), BUT NO ONE CAN SEE IT.
(With one exception)
AND THIS is LOOOONG Confirmed by oda.
25:32 Nah, Oda just decided to give Armament a visual cue post-timeskip.
28:55 If the water is liquid, it's above freezing. Well, seawater can be a bit below because of the salinity.
"... when Jinbei joins ..." I think I heard the Copium truck backing up to your house from here.
What later on gave him his chance to receive his first
SPOILER.😁
also all the "looney toons shit" that luffy does, it is fun seeing how much luffy's true power was hinted at
Luffy said previously that Sanji and Zoro also know haki.😂
Alicia looking surprised to that... she either cooks or burns the kitchen down.
"- Seymour, the house is on fire!"
"- No mother, it's just the northern lights!"
I understand that having chat have access to emotes like the head nodding one and the brain expanded one is nice, but damn do I just get a personal ick when chat uses them to confirm something Alicia is guessing before the show reveals it (again just a personal thing)
The gas-gas fruit is terrifying because it give it's user the ability to control 11 out of 118 of the elements on the periodic table.
7:34 apparently alicia forgot that he got poisoned like 20 times before and the deadliest poison is Magellan and he said so.
Guys please leave likes when you watch these vids. Even if you don't like the current arc, it will guarantee that we will get to the better parts faster
Every since that comment about Cesar looking like a baddie in the smoke the literally next back view of him gave him the mostly womanly curves 😂
i just came up with a nickname for Punk Hazard... "Poot Hazard", cause there's all the Poots and the Gases.
"i need Zoro to get to Wano"
Alicia has officially integrated
"this fight is some looney tunes shit" hahahahahahahahahaha
chopper can peak around corners, him sticking his booty out is him trying to hide and he gets anxious and forgets which way to hide so if he isn't scared atm he can peak around
Haki might be the most controversal thing in One Piece since different people have different ideas as to why it looks black.
7:37
...huh.
y'know now that I think of it, with the benefit of hindsight THAT reveal in Wano was pretty obvious
No they just start showing everybody's Haki Post Time skip because now it's been properly introduced and everybody knows about it.
::Alicia trying to cook so hard to figure out how Luffy survives being surrounded and exploding::
Luffy: "...I am fast boi!"
The Zoro thing is a theory tho. Sanji and Luffy can also destroy buildings without haki, Mr. 1 also could cut buildings and he didn't have haki.
Guess chopper can hide properly when he's not startled I guess. He always hides improperly when he's startled or scared
DOFLAMINGO NEXT EP
Poor Alicia, always trying to think 10 steps ahead of Oda to be clever when sometimes he just does the simplest thing >XD
to answer your question at 26:40-ish There's nothing special about Vergo's arm and weapon being black, the black coloring is just a visual indicator of Armament Haki that everyone has now that we, the reader/viewer, know about it
Also regarding Vergo's introduction don't worry TOO much about being confused over new characters, Oda's writing is nowhere near the level of "Oh my god!
Introducing the strongest move in One Piece that's only used twice.
BTW Sanji absolutely clears Jimbei in swimming
Zoro just got that code
Explosions have always affected Luffy, at least in the sense that they scorch him. In theory he can die from them.
42:04 The subtitles! Chopper, no!
25:15 “why did you give him your heart?”
To make it real or else forget about it???
I’ll see myself out now.
Remember folks 2K likes. Also don't so hard on her she is doing her best.
remember Luffy's Poison resistence
That's... that's not how poison works, Luffy. But, I guess if Luffy thinks so...
Yeeeah Kinemon could turn Ace into confetti frfr 😊
25:25 - not all haki is created equal
"This fight is looney tunes shit."
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH BOY
Chopper's new hiding is a crime.
Ye
Impel down . @7:18 - @7:38 , @7:51 - 8:03 shocked Alicia
I just watched a studio Ghibli movie called the boy and the heron and rn watching Ponyo and I kinda want Alicia to react to these classics mainly My Neighbor Totaro and Ponyo if she didn’t watched them yet
25:07 Vergo.....SAN! leorio.....San!
Hehehe and so, the pieces are in place for the Real Plot of the Arc to start.
Maybe Chopper learned how to hide correctly? ^^'
omg Luffy is a follower of the Hugs not Drugs campaign.
losing to magellan gave luffy such a op body
22:03 Seems like he had some crumbs left on his cheek.
37:30 alicia is fun to watch and listen to yap, but i will admit that rarely some yap segments are so random and go on for a really long time 😅
