Tallulah Gorge is by far the most beautiful waterfall and best hiking experience. Amicalola and Anna Ruby Falls come in 2nd and 3rd but so awesome still!!!!❤❤❤
Georgia is cool. Georgia is more than just the bustling Atlanta and it's suburbs, clogged highways and the Hartsfield Airport, it has lots of charming rural areas, small towns and the mountains in north Georgia are really pretty.
I’ve been to 5 out of your list of 6 waterfalls. I guess my next trip to Georgia better include Dukes Creek Falls. Amazing waterfalls - every one of them! Thanks for the video.
Jacks river falls is great !! Panther creek is great ! These are not as easy to get to as all of those ! I’m on a rescue team that serves north Georgia mountains ! Be carful !!
Loved your video. We have a vacation home just 9 miles from Vogel State Park. We love it up there and have been to all of those except Rocco's Falls. Shelton creek is our favorite because we always take a picnic and our swimsuits for a nice swim. Sometimes you even have it all to yourself.
@@CampTravelExplore No we just use it quite often personally. We want to sell two homes down south and move to North Georgia permanently. Maybe get a Liberty or Marathon motor coach and travel this beautiful country and Canada.
Good video, I've been to most of these 20 years ago when we first moved up here from Florida. We went camping all the time during the summer. Now that I'm older and started watching RUclips videos I started hiking again to try and loose weight and get in better health. So to help inspire me to get out I started videoing that hikes. Hiking to a fall helps the inspiration.
Heading to Tulallah in a few weeks and am so very thankful to have found your video! We have now added more to our "must do and see" list. Many, many thanks!
We absolutely love waterfalls. Thank you for these. We have also been to Tallulah Gorge and those steps are definitely a killer. I only thought I was in shape...lol!! Worth the hike though!!
Yes Tallulah and Cloudland Canyon are the two toughest State Parks in GA for hiking so far for us. We have fallen in love with waterfall hikes no matter what state we visit! Have you ever checked out our "6 Must see waterfalls in Oregon" episode? You will love it I think! Thanks for supporting the channel for us!
The wife and I have been to 4 of the 6 listed the two we haven't been to are Toccoa falls and Trahlyta falls at Vogel State Park. Will be visiting soon, a great base is Dahlonega Ga. all the waterfalls are within easy drives from there, it being a super cool little town don't hurt either.
Loved the video. We have relatives in GA. This past Black Friday we went hiking at Amicalola Falls and it was beautiful. We're heading to Atlanta in a few weeks for a concert and on the way home were stopping by Toccoa Falls.
It really was incredible, they had just set it up for a wedding that happened just an hour or so after we finished filming! Thanks for checking it out!
Lifelong north GA resident here and new subscriber. I love your videos!! You do a great job with them👍👍👍 I also enjoyed your camping beaches in FLA and the best springs one, great content! Ashamed to say that I live here and have only ever been to Anna Ruby 😆 I’m trying to plan a trip for this year to NC mountains, So, off to watch more of your videos.
Thank You so much!! Yes we have many Georgia videos and are starting to have quite a few North Carolina videos, mostly Western Carolina, so you may enjoy them as well!! Thank You for supporting the channel!!
I am going to be in that part of North Georgia in October for the 2nd time. I only saw the Vogel S.P. falls last year, but now I'm inspired to check out some of your recommendations. Thanks for the great video.
@@CampTravelExplore we are in Roswell :) the mountains are close, the small town vibes are real and the beaches are within a few hours. We want to spend more time in Georgia. This gives me another reason. I’m obsessed with waterfalls. How many are you allowed to swim in? Can you sit at the top of any of them? My favorite Georgia visit was at Tallulah- during the eclipse. But those stairs nearly killed me 🤣 Deliverance was filmed there. I’m adding the rest of these to my list 🙏 Beautiful filming ❤️ Alice
I'm native to Blairsville, GA, and have seen so much impact on these beautiful locations over the 24 years I lived there. If you're abiding by Leave No Trace, swimming at many of these locations is not recommended (and many of them, as demonstrated from the video) don't allow access to the floor of the waterfalls for swimming, but many visitors still cross over and swim anyway, which creates further impact with satellite trails/erosion. If you do want to go swimming at any location you're interested in, and you're not sure what's allowed, contact the NFS/ranger district who presides over the location you're interested in, and make sure to check in with their rules and regulations for the area. If swimming is not recommended at the location you're interested in, they can probably point you in the right direction (another location that allows swimming and is more apt for that particular use). If we're not taking care of these places, then they could get closed for restoration or closed indefinitely. These places are a part of my home, and I know myself--and many others--don't want to see them get anymore damaged!
You can swim in Helton Creek Falls, but OMG the water is cold! I only went in to be able to take pictures under the fall. I quickly got out and did not go back. I now admire the falls from a distance and don't look for ones I can swim in, it was icy cold! Burrrr!
The water fall in vogle is man made one my favorite one is in North Carolina you get to walk in behind it and under it. And it is a big one and natural made to.
We have just fallen in love with waterfalls and hiking to them!! Thank You so much for checking out so many of our videos and leaving comments! Follow us on our CampTravelExplore facebook page as we put some behind the scenes content on their as well!!
Great video! I’m going to have to find some camping as close as possible to all these falls. This will allow me to break out the camera and be there early in the am before the crowds and sun!
Your should really check out Cloudland Canyon State Park located in the Northwest Georgia mountains (lookout mountain). Two great waterfalls down in a canyon. its beautiful! Cloudland is Easily one of the most visited state parks in Georgia.
Beautiful and informative! I think Toccoa Falls was my favorite (although they're ALL wonderful!) I've heard there's a riverfront restaurant in Toccoa. Has anyone eaten there? We have out of town guests & might want to give it a try. We live in the Alpharetta area. Thanks for any suggestions!
My 93 year old mother was born and raised in Clayton Georgia. Us kids visited some of these waterfalls while visiting our Grannie up in the mountains. As an adult I've visited more of these and I think you've captured them beautifully. North Georgia is truly a special place.
Right next to Duke's Creek Falls is Raven Cliff falls. This should be on the list as well. If I remember correctly, it's the longest hike out of all these.
The hike is 4.9 miles round trip and is considered moderate (not paved, lots of roots and rocks so you have to really watch your footing to avoid twisting an ankle). Be aware that you have to cross a stream near the beginning, which involves balancing on some logs or just walking in the water (it is shallow). The river and waterfalls along the route are quite picturesque; however, Raven Cliff Falls itself is rather disappointing (especially if there’s not been much rainfall). I’ve hiked it twice in the last month.
