    Hey Jeff
    Now that
    1) I have truenas scale set up
    2) my data pool is created
    3) smb is enabled
    4) my truenas users are created
    5) the users have access to the smb share folder
    6) zerotier is configured and
    is installed on truenas
    7) Jellyfin is installed on truenas
    8) Jellyfin has access to my smb shared folder on truenas
    9) i added data to the smb shared folder
How do access Jellyfin remotely and use it like Netflix/Spotify?

in your case to access the server remotely of jellyfin just put the ip address that Zerotier assigned to your Truenas follow by the Port Number if i am not mistaken the default port number is 8096 and be sure to verify on the jellyfin you installed on your truenas that you have checked Host Network to access the server

If I have nextcloud installed on truenas, how can access my nextcloud from remote with the phone app? Do I need to use the zerotier IP followed by the nextcloud path instead of the lan truenas ip?

Hi there thanks for watching as to your question at least for me remote access for nextcloud installed on TrueNAS scale didnt worked for me using the ZeroTier IP instead only worked with the LAN IP
if anything ill try to make a video related to this for remote access in a different way not using truenas scale if i am able to see if it works ill need to do some testing if it works on my side
once i do that i will put up a video and i will reply to your comment again
      thanks for watching

I entered the NAS IP provided by zerotier and worked initially and then after few minutes tried again and cant connect to that IP again. Tried from my laptop as well as smartphone which is hooked to zerotier

As to your question you can try and see if you can ping the IP address for a response(reply)
If that does not work you can Create the Network again and add the devices again or restart your NAS and check to see if the Zerotier Service is running
I hoped this Resolved your issue 😁

@@JeffComputerService Hello, I saw the whole video, it works fine. But when I restart the system thunder the service runs again and I can no longer connect, this since we need a persistent variable. Do you know anything about this?

@@luisnano1008 hello I am not sure about that I haven't had that issue before whenever I do that a issue the best thing that works for me is to disconnect the device from Zerotier add it again or delete the network create it again
If I do get the same issue I will reply again with a solution beside what I have provided
      Hope this helps 🙂

@@JeffComputerService I'm having that problem right now, it works for me to configure it again but it's already a bit tedious. The idea is to configure only 1 time and that's it. I'll keep an eye out if you upload a solution with persistent variables. Greetings !!

You need to persist /var/lib/zerotier-something (Check inside the container the correct path)
