- The LX 18 produces 18 Watts out of two 6V6 power tubes and with a pair of these G12H speakers it is definitely loud enough to keep up with an drummer - on my last gig with the LX 18,
i had the master vol on 11 o'clock.

Don't forget to order the chassis, faceplate, knobs and headshell if you need these items, because they are not included in the kit !
My headshell is a scratch built JTM 45 style head and has nothing to do with the one they recommend in the shop for this amp.
But they got tons of different cabinets & housings to choose from !
My recording gear:
Close mic (off axis) for Les Pauls: Audio Technica AE 3000. for Fender guits: Shure SM7B.
In 45cm distance i placed a Fame F47 condenser mic & as room mic i used a T-bone RM 700 ribbon mic in 3 meters distance. The mics go into Behringer Tube Ultragain Mic 100 Preamps and i've recorded with an Boss BR-1600. No Post recording effects or EQs at all !!
All i did was to set the levels of the mic tracks to the "as naturel as possible" sound, and it sounds very close to what i had in the room !
All guitars are custom shop models with boutique PUs and VIP pots.
I use Sommer cables and the amp was running on the stock JJ tubes that come with the kit.

The LX 18 is for sale now - are you interested ?!?
How do you compare it to the little brother Lummerland Express ? Beside the power, what's the difference ? do you like it more ?
I would say the small L.Express sounds sweeter and softer (soft in a good / vintage way), the LX 18 is way more agressive even if you tame it by using guitar volume & tone. I would say it's more modern sounding. I got no doubt that it cuts through the mix in a band very well - even with another guitar !
