I have a Faber on my 1987 ES-335 dot re-issue. It sounds great. I hate the Callahham.

I like the Faber. Is it a 12” radius or would the saddles need to be notched? I’ll have to check my Hamer for specification on spacing and radius. Thanks. The unplugged comparison was great & I could hear a difference with the overdrive too & I’m 68.

BUILDER TIP: "Tube-Town TV" comes on at 2:33 and can be helpful if you've never built one of these kits before.

The more you had distortion the less noticeable difference there was. I think I preferred the Faber! The other ones sounded somehow "hollow"

I like the G12H the best in this demo and the C12K the worst, although I really like the C12K in a Deluxe Reverb or Twin Reverb.

OK, I clearly hear differences between the Bridges on this speciic guitar. Finally it always depends on the tonal characteristics of the instrument, which Bridge is the best addition. That's my opinion.

Creamback gets the top spot with the G12H30 55Hz a very close second. They sounded the most Vintage .The Creamback M65 actually sounded more like a vintage Celestion then the G12M Heritage Greenback .

Wow! One of the best comparison videos out there. Most of guys put an SM57 right at the center of the speaker and you can’t really hear anything besides buzz. This way you can hear some room response and it’s more of real world comparison. I’m actually really surprised that Jensen is so dark compared to Celestions. Also that awful top end extension on Creamback, you can’t hear it anywhere else. G12H is nice, fatter bottom than Greenback but a bit harder on the ears. Greenback G12M is my favorite of the bunch, Jensen suprisingly 2nd.

Honestly I hear more 'stringliness' with the Faber. Individual notes seem to speak clearer. The Callahan has more clarity in the upper midrange and seems louder as a result. Gibson has a fatter lower mid response.

That fuzz sounds fantastic... nice cleanup and shades of overdrive with the guitar volume rolled back as well... so yea, they definitely go well together! Rock on!

It's magic... I didn't hear a difference which justifies buying and replacing one bridge for another. FWIW The voicing of an electric guitar is dictated by the distance between the bridge and the P.U. (the same way as picking/stumming, in different positions, changes the the attack and the resonance OF THE STRING) The resonance in the wood is absorbed (100%) by the player's body and frethand (and sometimes your lap, if you play sitting down). Heck even Sl00sh'es shirt kills his toan... So, snakeoil, for sure...

What also makes a difference is the saddles themselves, i changed mine to the older flatter tops instead of the newer pointed ones..a better string response! I found a seller on ebay that reissues them.

G12M...probably the most flat eq's...I use NEO's but they do have a slight nasally eq..... but they are quite easy on the back...tweak that eq abit...and your good to go!
