- From MOMENTS OF PRAISE, a rare OOP vintage vinyl LP featuring the late Danny Gaither; Light Records; 1983.
Danny Gaither, best known as a founding member of The Bill Gaither Trio of Alexandria IN. Dan took a few years away from The Gaither Trio and traveled as a member of Jim Hill's Golden Keys Quartet around 1964.
Danny Gaither would return as a member of The Bill Gaither Trio as the three siblings, Bill, Mary Ann, & Danny would get signed with HeartWarming Records, a division of Benson--Their first National Recording Contract in 1966!
The Bill Gaither Trio later transitioned to Bill, Dan, & Gloria Gaither and stayed with that personnel for a few years. Dan would depart once again in 1977, this time to pursue a solo ministry.
Circa 1983, MOMENTS OF PRAISE might be his very last solo project prior to his health and other concerns led him away from public ministry, sadly.

I was so far away from Jesus that summer 39 yrs ago. I had a happy marriage a great family but I was so empty. Then while flipping the radio dial I heard this song and my heart began to break. This will always be my salvation song and one day I will tell Danny thank you.

Great to listen to this beautiful, soothing to the soul, music on Father’s Day 2021. Danny Gaither is greatly missed, but he continues to bless those who choose to listen. What a legacy! May God Bless all who listen.

We have been watching Precious Memories this afternoon. In England, UK. It's on for just one hour it started at 1600hrs(BST). Saturday 16 May, 2020. We really enjoyed it so very much. Channel TBN. Sky 582. FreeView 65. I love the Gaithers and I watch them whenever they are on. I've never heard of Danny. I said to my husband that his voice is a bit like Elvis'. My Mammy went home to be with The LORD over 20 years ago. She would absolutely love this. Southern gospel and old, old Jamaican hymns are her favourite types of hymns♥️

Wish I Had Of Known More Of Danny Gaither Back Before He Passed. I was Like 25 in 1983. I Knew Of The Gaithers And Had Played Many Of Their Songs On The Piano. I Had An Accordion Too, That I Played For Personel Joy and At Family Reunions, And Such. I Knew Many Of The Hymns Of The Gaither's That I PlayedFor Years. You See. I Played Many If Not All By Ear. I Could Read Music. Mama's First Gaither SheetbMusic She Bought Was "HE TOUCHED ME". There Were Many In The Hymnals, We Sang From In Church. The Methodist Hymnal. So Many Beautiful Songs. I Learned More Of The Gaithers in The Early 90's and Who They Truly Are. I Learned Of Danny From Videos On My Phone Here And TV. GAITHER'S On TV. Fixing to get cut off. I Love Danny's Voice. I Just discovered this album and i Love it i think it's Danny's Best work. There's times he sounds like Frank Sinatra but better.

Thank you Steve for posting this album. It helps to encourage everyone knowing all the heartache he went through. Was his two sons killed in car wreck a few years after he passed away?At least he didn't have to know away. Wish we could hear the album of Danny and his daughter together.
