Fun fact: All of the EXO members first solo songs have something to do with the fact that they are members of EXO, and their MVs and songs show them using their EXO superpowers. D.O.'s superpower is force which harnesses the power of earth (dirt) to create his power. So in "Rose" you see the things exploding or falling down, etc. because he is using his power of force. His blissful love state may be causing him to lose control of his powers. And the "Rose" flower theme could be connected to the flowers within EXO's storyline.
Other examples, Baekhyun's debut solo album City Lights and his song "UN Village" talks about his power to control light, Suho's debut solo "Let's Love" MV shows him with his power to control water, and Kai teleports all over in his "Mmmh" MV. And as the first EXO member to have a solo career, the majority of Lay's solo MVs tie into EXO's storyline as well.
Even in their solo work, everything EXO does is connected to their concept and storyline as members of EXO.

I'm a Spanish speaker as well, and Si Fueras Mía touched me deeply. Being able to understand the song, and then the emotions he carried through his voice... Kyungsoo moved me to tears within the first verse. I'm glad Jorge could enjoy it!

Do Kyungsoo is just an incredible person that I will never stop admiring. At first glance, the album, the songs and his vocals may seem simple, but in fact it is not so at all. A large range does not make you a better vocalist yet, because another important role is played by the "technique", which Kyungsoo undoubtedly has great. He has such control over his voice that he makes all the transitions from low to high notes completely smoothly and even seems to make no effort. Quite naturally, during a song, it can change its timbre from incredibly sweet to sexually rude and sound simply amazing in each. Kyungsoo is one of those few vocalists who can make your heart flutter.

This album is something unique that Kyungsoo has put his soul into. He himself wrote the lyrics for the title song "Rose", and also took a direct part in writing each song. He learned to play guitar while still serving in the army, studied independently and played each of his songs from the album to record. He has recorded songs in several languages "Korean, English, Spanish" which not everyone does.
Do Kyungsoo is just incredible in every sense. He is one of the few vocalists who can make your heart flutter and cause a storm of emotions. He manages his deep voice and sweet timbre with such ease that the same part can sound completely different "starting very roughly and ending unrealistically gently". Kyungsoo's unique voice gives each song a unique charm. I'm ready to listen to his voice as much as I want.! Even when Kyungsoo just speaks, he wants to listen and listen to endlessly, such a pleasant voice.
It actually made me cry watching you cry... This is how music should be like, right?? Give you peace, makes you cry, makes you feel all the emotions out there... I can't explain just how much proud my boy Kyungsoo makes me by sounding this much angelic... I'm so proud of his solo in the same way I am always so freaking proud of EXO...

Kyungsoo just has an unrealistically beautiful face and is literally getting more beautiful every day. He is exactly the kind of person who suits absolutely any style, hairstyle and concept, as evidenced by numerous EXO albums, numerous advertising and numerous acting shots of Kyungsoo, which are so different in a variety of roles and images.

Aw, this was the sweetest reaction!! ⭐ I'm so glad you reacted to both songs instead of just "Rose". The feels were all over the place: in the MV and in this reaction. "Rose" has such good vibes to it. One of my favorite songs by D.O is called "Crying Out", it was my most played song on Spotify in 2020. It's an OST and probably a little more emotional/dramatic, but it's my go-to when I'm missing my dad. D.O's voice is perfect for it, and the lyrics are sorrowfully beautiful. The album is named "Empathy" as it can really reach out to everyone who have different feelings at different stage. The simple instruments highlights his vocal & makes all songs are so easy to listen to. Only thing is all the songs are too short. Well, i just can't help but keep listening to it.
Exo always takes fans suggestions into consideration, so D.O. knows that all his fans likes his pronunciations in different languages so he had an english ver for rose, and he has a spanish song!

D.O.’s R&B is best in K-pop. He is also known as korea’s Justin .
The letter r is a thing in Korean just not rolled r’s. However the r letter (ㄹ) doubles as an L in many instances depending on how softly you pronounce the r but there are words with what we know to be r in English. When people speak fast it might sound like L based on the person but in isolation r is not completely foreign to Korean speakers. Examples: Ramyeon (라면), Speak (말해), growl (으르렁), etc.

He’s not fluent in English and I’m guessing he doesn’t have much Spanish. What he is, is brilliant with pronunciation and overall ability to learn. He’s learned two Korean dialects for movies - not accents, entire dialects - including N Korean, which is very different. And he learns quickly.
Everything you see in the mv really happens, including having crew drop a big tree that just misses him as he cluelessly rides by. It’s so D.O. 😂
