WHERE IS NEPHI FROM?
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City in the Philippines but I have been moving and living in different countries due to the nature of my work. I’ve lived in countries like Singapore, Japan and the US due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel but I am currently in Indonesia thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
MUSICAL BACKGROUND
Former band vocalist of Akita performing at K-Pub in Ayala Cebu, Philippines (2019-2020)
Former band vocalist of Big Three Band performing in Yokohama 7, Yokohama, Japan (2014-2016).
Former member of the Filipino Voice Symphony (2010-2011) where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our singing group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
Former university choir and singing trainer at Technological University of the Philippines Visayas.
WHAT IS THE GREATER GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.

D.O. really broke that stereotype of kpop things with this album, he really started something new in kpop because i never heard anything like this before as long as i'm a kpop fan, look how simple he is, just guitar, piano, and ofc his vocals are definition of perfect, no need complicate things, the whole album is full of talents

I first listened to Dad without reading the lyrics and I was bawling. That's a testament as to how good Kyungsoo is in conveying a song's message thru his delivery. I mean it was such a simple melody and yet it hit me to the core
I am Mexican and this song is amazing I cry with this song... It's so beautiful words for me it's the better song I so pride to my baby Kyungsoo. I understood from the first word he said to the last. his Spanish is really incredible.
The thing about Kyungsoo is he sang 6 different songs but he successfully conveying the mood and present the songs in different technique

I cry so hard when i listened to Dad. I lost my dad last yr and i feel like i dont grieve enough coz im trying to be strong for my mum and my siblings. But when i listened to DAD, all emotions just unlocks and i cry my heart out. I feel like finally, all the tears that I've been holding inside just burst and i felt relieved. So, Thank You Do Kyungsoo for that song ❤️

Kyungsoo has a great talent that we found out about at the debute days: he sounds so so good in evety accent so that you would believe he speaks the language fluently even tho' he is not! I saw it in Spanish, English, Japanese, Chinese!

My favorite is the Spanish song, Si Fueras Mia. Maybe because it is different genre from others, and it is very romantic to listen. His vocals was highlighted by the song. He sounded like so fluent in Spanish.
Thank you Nephi. I love this album. His voice is the reason he is my ultimate bias in life....everyone I know cries to "Dad", how can you not feel it...it is beautifully sung, and it hits home. But the other songs feel worthy of Kyungsoo serenading to me, I picture him sitting in front of me, looking into my eyes, saying "listen to me, LET ME LOVE YOU"...omg.
This is an album of love 💘, plain and simple...my absolute favorite is "Si Fueras Mia", the most romantic song on the whole album...this Spanish version just hits differently, love oozes out of his lips and coats your heart in warmth...it is so lovely....and it would be my wish in the future to hear this song performed live, on stage, in their next to tour together....Kyungsoo sitting and singing, with Chanyeol on the guitar...a dream come true, time would stand still for me, my heart would melt...thank you Kyungsoo for this album. I can't wait for your second album, my love 💙🌺

Si Fueras Mia is the Spanish ver of It’s Love kuya Nephi. I really love D.O.’s album, it did equate to its name “Empathy”. I am grateful that he added the two bonus tracks for us.

Empathy is fuego puro! Kyungsoo's voice + strings = perfection! I'm also proud of his effort to reach out to international EXO-L by releasing an English version of Rose and Si Fueras Mia which became my early favorites.
