The trapdoors between the ladders don't work in bedrock. In java you can climb right over them. And the different blocks can always be added later. That's how I build in my survival world. First just bricks and detailing when I'm finished.
Hey I have a question for you. So I started playing a new realm/server and I’m trying out Java this time. I wanted to make the lighthouse a little larger so instead of the 5x walls I made them 7x, and went a little taller to add an extra room above the bedroom and below the enchanting room. So my question is, with this change in size & height I also wanted 3 rows of rotating lights. So how should I place the observers/lights and how many should I use on each row? I’m thinking I should raise it up two blocks using 7 instead of 5 for the height, but then how much should I extend the observers etc? I followed the tutorial exactly when I made this the first time on my own realm and it looked amazing.
@@kimberlym707 Then it is getting complicated. The signal from a observer is only strong enough to light 2 lamps above or below. if you want more lights you have to build the obervers a second time mirrored/upside down on top. And then it is very hard to synchronize both rotations because they move independent from each other. Here is a tutorial that shows this. Lights just stopped working properly on bedrock 1.20.1 bottom row is rotating top row is now staying on solid. It had been working just fine. I haven’t made any changes to it.
That's strange since the signal is coming from above. No problems in Java 1.20.1... Maybe try and turn it off an on again? :D Kidding, try placing the redstone lamps again that would be my first suggestion. Can't test it in bedrock right now, I first has to ask someone tomorrow. But maybe this fixes it.
I hit the same issue (on java) and have an explanation for it. If your observers span over multiple chunks, the problem starts when the chunks are unloaded and then loaded again. When then are unloaded, only one of the observers in the upper layer is active and this state is saved. Later on, when the chunks are loaded again, one of the chunks will load first. If the active observer was on this side, the signal will be lost because the upper layer of observers is incomplete and does not form a cycle (case 1). Then the other chunk will load. If the active observer was on that side, the signal will be able to propagate as the cycle of observers is complete again (case 2). My theory is that, when the second chunk gets loaded, one of the observers in the first chunk sees this as a block change and initiates a new redstone signal. If we are in case 1, this is great, as this will replace the lost signal. However, if we are in case 2, we end up with *two* signals within the cycle. If you still have a visual access to the observers, you will notice that they blink twice as fast as they should. Because of this, the upper layer of lights no longer have the time to turn off between signals, and will stay permanently on. The lights in the lower layer receive a shorter signal from the observers, so they will have the time to turn off between signals, but their duty cycle will be much higher than it should. Unfortunately the only way to avoid this, as far as I know, is to make sure to build your lighthouse in a location where all the observers will belong to the same chunk. So I will tear mine down and rebuild it entirely shifted by one block.
Hmm.. If the red dots on the observers flash, everything should be working correctly and the signal should light the redstone lamps. From your description I can't think of a reason why it doesn't work. If you want you can send me some screenshots. On my Channel > Channel Info there is a contact e-mail.
Can you give me the time stamp? I only see flowering azalea leaves on top of a composter. If it's that what you mean, aim for the wall to place it above.
Are you sure you did in the exact order shown? It won't work any other way. Maybe try it in creative and see if it works. Are you playing the java version?
...and if you don't like flashing lights you can leave them and still have a nice tower to live in :)
Is there a way to hook them to a nighttime detector?

It still works in 1.19.3
do you happen to have the seed of the world you used?
Not at home at the moment but I can look it up tomorrow. But keep in mind, I built the island almost entirely by myself for the video and the location at least 800 blocks away from spawn if I remember correctly....
@@armun Ahh then no worries man I'll dig in and do some seed hunting. Seriously though thats some serious dedication and it shows the island looks great the build is a 10/10 and I really can't wait to build it in a world thank you for taking the time to respond by the way 🙏
P.S thank you for putting so much information in your description its not necessary but its an awesome touch
@@GrandShroombah That's what I did, hunting for a nice seed with an small island not far from the beach in an ocean. Couldn't find one so I built it myself ;)
Just in case Seed: 6029994886513477900
1.19 Large Biomes
688/3022
oml what do you use for your camera? Its so smoothhhh, im 100% going to build this
I use replaymod in combination with iris, sodium and BSL. All linked in the description.
Have fun building it :)
How do you make a bigger light
For a bigger light you have to use redstone. It won't work like this.
Here is a tutorial by Dreymasmith Dreams. A lot of sizes and shapes.
Kidding, try placing the redstone lamps again that would be my first suggestion. Can't test it in bedrock right now, I first has to ask someone tomorrow. But maybe this fixes it.
I also ran into the same issue on bedrock.
I followed everything exact and still can't get the redstone lights to flash. :c the observers all flash, but not the lights.
Hmm.. If the red dots on the observers flash, everything should be working correctly and the signal should light the redstone lamps. From your description I can't think of a reason why it doesn't work. If you want you can send me some screenshots. On my Channel > Channel Info there is a contact e-mail.
@@armun Will do, thanks!
Same issue here as well
I wanna know how to make the small island
What can I say... I just built it...
is this on litematica i need the island
Not on litematica, sorry.
how do you get the peony to sit on top of the composter?
Can you give me the time stamp? I only see flowering azalea leaves on top of a composter.
If it's that what you mean, aim for the wall to place it above.
@@armun Ahh, thank you! I had the wrong plant :)
@@webrender np ;)
Redstone is flashing but not the lamps when i put them. Any idea why?
Are you sure you did in the exact order shown? It won't work any other way. Maybe try it in creative and see if it works. Are you playing the java version?

I make this
:) Have fun and let me know if you have any problems
it's 9x9
What is the seed
Sorry, I don't have the file any more. But if you're asking because of the island, I built it (mostly) myself... There were just a few rocks
world download?
Sorry, I don't have this specific world any more but you can find all my builds in a single world download on my patreon page.
If you’re in creative just say so, no shame
No shame at all. I do all my tutorials in creative. Much easier and faster.
It’s nice to see how it can be done in creative, especially how the fireplace was built (and escaped from).
I love this! I'm going to build it on my realm!
Have fun building it =)
Thanks for the build inspo put it in my realm me and my friends love it! Great job
Have fun with your friends building it :)
