    Didn’t US just make huge subsidies to tech sector, ignoring Europe concerns about US destroying their competitiveness

      Yes it did.
      But in the US point of view, it only judges others..
      So when the US weaponize, funded, supported, protected Israeli genocide on Palestinian, it is not gencoide.
      When China arrest XinJiang radicals, then it is genocide.
      The US has long rid off their sense of shamelessness.

      You clearly don't know how this works. 1. the US giving subsidies is in response to decades of China doing so, and their subsidies pale in comparison to China's. The total of the US subsidies are a small fraction of subsidies China dishes out each and every year. 2. the US is not subsidizing to the point of destroying foreign industries... China's EV's are so subsidized by the state that itd be impossible for any free market economy to compete... and that is their intention.

  • @davidlee9493
    @davidlee9493 25 дней назад +28

    Hahaha. Whose rules? Your rules, which you change on the fly to suit yourself? It's okay for you to use subsidies to support your industries but not for other countries to do so?

    China should slap a 100% tariff on Boeing, Apple and Tesla.

      nah... think they are working hard on having their own passenger planes and stop buying from boeing altogether... just in case US sanction them like what they did to Russia and they will have problems with no spare parts. As for phones and EVs... US can stop anytime they can survive with their own.... and it will only hurt US themselves...

    • @sneakymove
      @sneakymove 23 дня назад +1

      Boeing is all about poor quality these days.....back then, they laughed the loudest at Comac

    • @valetudo1569
      @valetudo1569 23 дня назад +3

      Lol let them.. they still need Boeing as they can't produce enough planes yet, airbus has years of backlog. Apple and Tesla employ a ton of people and itll result in a lot of job losses and even more exodus of foreign direct investment. Employment and foreign direct investment are already a major problem right now.
      The country with a larger export surplus and economic issues is much more vulnerable in this situation...that is China. They cannot meaningfully respond without causing great damage to themselves at the moment

    Okay then. US, a few European countries and Japan are traditional big manufacturing countries, that is why there is a group of 7 countries. Russia was kicked out otherwise it is a group of 8 countries. Anyways, how these countries maintain the appropriate manufacturing capacity in your opinion, Ms Yellen?

    She meant US rules. And she hope after rising 100% tariffs on Ev China will take it laying down. China is not Japan. Any transport exporting to China will too be hit by 100% tariffs. They hope China won't retialate? So clever. Whose bright idea. Old English saying. Tic fot Yac

    this woman on the right is bad. subsidies isnt unfair trading practices. its actually their govt running the economy properly unlike usa who is extremely negligent on boosting critical sectors of market. china is just better at economics and brings more vslue to the market and usa cant compete on a trade war unless usa is doing unethical stuff.
