I’m Team Godzilla and even though Godzilla didn’t get as much to do in this movie, I still had a blast. It’s my favorite monsterverse film because it knew exactly what it was and just went for it.
Idk I like the movie. But I wish it would go back to atleast a little bit of seriousness. I'm tired of the goofy stuff. Skull island and gvk are proof u can make a great movie without it being so silly beyond repair
I REALLY hate it when critics compare this film with Minus One.
They are completely different films going for completely different things. The only thing these two films have in common is they both happen to feature Godzilla.

You can have an action packed movie with good writing and good characters. So your comment doesn’t make sense to me. Personally I thought this movie was mind numbingly boring. I’m still glad peoole are having fun with it. I definitely wont waste my time with the next one though
@@123rockfanthat is the difference, Godzilla Minus One is a great movie with good writing and characters. This movie is just about watching Godzilla and Kong fight. There is no reason for that to need good writing, if anything, the less dialogue and time spent with humans and more time with monsters fighting the best.
It’s fine if you don’t like it, and I agree this isn’t a good movie, but it wasn’t made to be good, it was made to be fun and that’s it, as long as it has good fights and people like it, it did its job.
@@andynorck2389 I just have higher standards for movies I guess. If you’re going to have two big monsters fight, I need a reason to care. The New Empire was just empty action scenes with no suspense. I wish I had just stayed home and played video games with my friends for a couple hours.

Team Kong! Godzilla is undeniably badass and iconic, but I feel Kong has so much more humanity. And he’s badass in his own right.

Team Godzilla all the way for me. I really loved this movie. It's an easy 10/10 for me. Kong brings the heart to this movie, and Godzilla was a beast that just wrecked everyone. I absolutely LOVED this movie.
What I don't like about Godzilla in these films is his disregard for humanity. He barrels through bridges and buildings full of people because he's all worked up over territory. Kong is far more intelligent and has the brute strength to go toe-to-toe with G. G always has to revert to the atomic breath to save his ass. You must have loved when Kong pounded G into a coma and dragged him by the tail... I know I did.

I love when Skar King threw everything he had at Kong and Kong just tossed him to the ground and beat his chest. Had to get Shimo involved then.
It's a small gripe in the grand scheme of things but I don't like how agile they've made Godzilla across these Monsterverse movies. He was a little more agile in the 2014 film than in the Toho movies but in this one he's sprinting around and leaping through the air like he belongs in the WWE. It doesn't feel like Godzilla to me.
In Godzilla Minus One he's a lumbering, considered, unstoppable machine of absolute devastation. That's Godzilla.

I hate that some people are hating on these movies for the fun they try to have. Let's not pretend that John Wick, Fast and Furious and the others haven't all asked logical things to be ignored many times. I've been having fun since Kong Skull Island and I'm happy to have more fun with this one soon.

This was a really good movie!! Just left the theater. It aligns so well with Monarch from Apple TV and the other movies. Mini Kong stole the show haha. Loved the mechanical arm. Team Kong all the way !!
A Rodan solo film would be awesome. Maybe as an Apple+ release? It could be a comedy where Rodan is the only monster who has subtitles. Even when he interacts with other monsters we only see what Rodan is saying. I think it would be funny seeing one sided conversations with other titans. And may we could get a better insight how the Titans feel about Godzilla and Kong. And in Rodans solo movie he could start out as the villain but by the end becomes an anti hero trying to stop a bigger threat. But the humans can’t interspersed what Rodan is up too so they go ahead and use project “Jet Jaguar” to try and stop Rodan but will end up teaming up with him in the end to stop the bigger threat.
And then maybe an end credit scene that shows the same humans that were working on Jet jaguar are rebuilding the mecha Godzilla (from Godzilla vs Kong) talking about preparing for a threat from outer space !!

I had so much fun with this movie. I’m going to watch it again tomorrow in 3D.. maybe it’ll be even crazier.

What would make sense for the next movie would be world governments radicalize their military to take over Monarch and the Hollow Earth in response to all these natural disasters.
The humans literally go to war with the titans and try to… Destroy All Monsters.
There’s this one scene in Cairo where we see Kong just walking that I found really cool. Then we see Godzilla take a pool dive to the ocean and I thought that was cool. The scene in Rio when the beach water turned into ice because Shimo was coming was very cool too. It’s basically similar to another scene in the new Ghostbusters movie.
Did you notice when we see Godzilla ready to face Kong in Cairo that Godzilla was much slimmer than he was in the earlier scenes before he got the pink dorsal plates? The earlier scenes, he was still the same size and color as he was in the 2019/2021 films even though we see him jump high and come down like a raptor. It’s like he went through some Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig because he was getting ready for his running scene.
Godzilla performs a SUPLEX to Kong. 😂 That’s the level of smart writing this movie has. Godzilla seems very ungrateful. Like hey man, thanks for saving me from Mechagodzilla. Instead, he went straight for the fight. It’s Big G’s way of saying hello or thanks to Kong. I did giggle when Godzilla performs a suplex knowing he has shorter arms and smaller hands.
You can tell though that the giant apes really have no shot against the giant lizard dinosaurs with stuff coming out of their mouths. Godzilla and Shimo are just so much bigger and stronger than the two apes. Kong punches Godzilla several times with the BEAST glove and Godzilla isn’t knocked out cold at all. But the real fun was seeing Shimo grab Kong and twirl him around. All the giant apes have are weapons to use against the giant lizards which the giant lizards can easily break.
Now Grace Randolph ranked her favorite kaijus and isn’t into this Godzilla stuff. She even chose Kong over Godzilla in the 2021 movie because Kong went (and died) in NY and she’s from there. But Grace surprisingly picked Shimo as her favorite kaiju from this movie. Shimo is definitely a big girl. Her longer length and height over Godzilla was very obvious. But I guess she’s a good girl all along if she wasn’t enchanted by Skar King.
Perhaps the disappointment from Skar King was he wasn’t as badass as people thought he would be from the trailers. The ending with Suko smashing that ice blade thing gave similar vibes to Arya killing the Night King. It felt like a cheap ending. Skar King should’ve won at least one fight against Kong and maybe knock out Godzilla even once. But Godzilla easily handled that whip he had and broke it.
Skar King really had no shot once Shimo got out of her trance. Then he still had Mothra, Queen of the Monsters, to worry about. That’s 1 vs. 3 in Rio and Skar King is the smallest among that four and with a broken weapon thanks to Godzilla. There are only two things Godzilla does in these MV movies. Fighting or sleeping. I don’t even see him eat like Kong does.
Man, these kaijus really have no concern for human life aka collateral damage. Kong needs to go back to Hollow Earth and Godzilla needs to join him. MV Godzilla is supposed to protect Earth but then thousands of people will die in Rome, Cairo, and Rio by just taking walks around those cities. Like damn, dudes. F you two! Go somewhere else and fight over there. 😂
It was a fun movie at least towards the end. But the disappointment comes from maybe Skar King not being menacing enough. The fight scenes weren’t all that. Very little time for Tiamat. Godzilla being secondary again to Kong for screen time which wasn’t surprising since he’s hardly shown in his own movies. Maybe 10-15 minutes tops? And the cheap finale with Suko doing an Arya.
If we do get more MonsterVerse movies with more dumb kaijus beating the living shit out of each other, I would love to see the bond Kong has with Shimo. I didn’t expect them to join forces in the final scene. That’s the only surprising thing I saw. I thought Shimo would go on her own somewhere else. Kong and Shimo alliance was not something I expected to see at the end. Godzilla seems to be more of an asshole when it comes to team ups and making alliances unless it’s with Mothra. He’s the loner who only sleeps and fights.
The only way Kong could defeat Godzilla in a fight is to grab a supersized Stormbreaker and aim for the head. That’s it. Even punches to the face with a BEAST glove didn’t knock down Godzilla unconsciously. Not that Godzilla is UNKILLABLE. We’ve had several versions of Godzillas and he’s lost fights and has been killed before in his movies. But this MV Godzilla seems very difficult to beat.
I wish MonsterVerse teamed up with McDonald’s and make Happy Meal toys for the kaijus in this movie. Did you see the toys of Godzilla and Kong in this movie? Brian Tyree Henry’s character had one of Kong hanging and another one for Godzilla but seen from behind while recording his podcast. That’s a nice touch like seeing the Minus One crew hold a Minus One Godzilla toy while receiving their Oscars. That’s part of the allure of Godzilla: TOYS.
Kong looks like Harry in Harry and the Hendersons. Not the 1987 movie but the short-lived sitcom of Harry and the Hendersons from the early 90s. Kong looks so coddly in this movie that it makes me want to hug him if he was shrunken to a normal sized gorilla and not the 337 feet he is where his hands would just crush me if he closed them.
I would still buy a toy of Skar King even though the writers gave him a cheap death scene as if he was a red shirt in Star Trek. I mean, c’mon, Shimo loses her trance and then freezes SK after Godzilla hit SK like a baseball ⚾️ with his tail that Kong pitched/kicked to him. The fight became lopsided once Shimo was out of her spell. This was spoiled in the final trailer. Kong already had SK by the neck with his BEAST glove before Shimo froze him.
SK looks so cool from the trailers and walks like he’s Tupac but then gets the weakest ending and death scene. Where was the huge threat from SK? And his army was getting stopped by Mothra in that floating / no gravity scene. Seemed like nothing was ever at stake. He couldn’t even beat Kong after he injured his left hand. I would be down for a prequel series of Skar King on Apple TV+ and watching him kill people and other apes. They did Skar King wrong here.
I really wish I got more out of Shimo but she got relegated to being Skar King’s Rancor for most of this movie. His pet slave. She’s also like Yoshi where you can just ride on her back. A horse lizard. It’s Donkey Kong riding on the back of a White Yoshi and with Diddy Kong (Suko) on the shoulder of Donkey Kong. Nintendo!! Woo-hoo! I would still get a toy of Shimo. Maybe a smaller toy for Skar King and Shimo.
The entire scene of Jia returning to her people was a big waste of time. Godzilla x Kong is 75% of nonsense from humans and the other 25% WWE kaijus. I do wonder how big their shits are? That triceratops in Jurassic Park had one big pile of shit. Imagine the shits Godzilla and Shimo have? Like a three-story building of shit.
Here’s a question..what would I choose between Jurassic Park (1993) or whatever is the best/fav film from Godzilla or Kong? I would pick Jurassic Park. While Godzilla and Kong would slaughter every dinosaur in those movies, the original Jurassic Park is the ultimate monster movie with those monsters being dinosaurs. I was on the edge of my seat when I first saw Jurassic Park in the theater. I would pick it over Godzilla Minus One and King Kong ‘05.
To Godzilla fans, what type of story or character development do you expect from Godzilla if you thought Kong took up most of the screen time like he did in the previous movie? I knew Kong had to carry the story because he’s the most human-like being an ape. What does Godzilla do in most of his previous movies? Destroy shit or fight other titans. That’s all he really does.
In MonsterVerse, if Godzilla is not sleeping, he’s fighting. That’s all he does in his movies. Go back to KOTM or the 2014 movie, was there a moment where you felt sorry for Godzilla? Nah, because it’s frickin’ Godzilla. He’s practically invincible. It’s like feeling sorry for how powerful Superman is. 😂 Kong is a big ugly ape and Godzilla is a big ugly reptilian dinosaur. Don’t expect Marlon Brando and Al Pacino performances coming out of them when neither one can talk to the audience.
Where MV failed to improve are the human characters. But a lot of us don’t care about that. It’s similar to going into a Jurassic Park/World movie. We don’t care about the humans. We want to see dinosaurs spook us. Godzilla can mean a lot of things to people. He can be serious, he can be campy like the Showa era ones. There’s no right or wrong on how to enjoy Godzilla.
I’ll watch Godzilla x Kong again but I’m fully aware it’s not art. This is not a masterpiece of cinema. It’s closer to a big pile of shit of that sick triceratops in Jurassic Park had if Godzilla, Kong, and the other kaijus weren’t so appealing to watch fight. Let them fight!!
I’m definitely Team Kong, this movie really showed him as the main protagonist if you ask me. Also as an ape lover it was awesome seeing more giant gorillas in this movie 😂 Also very much appreciated an exploration of Hollow Earth and more lore and backstory of the history of the titans. This movie was a lot of fun and I actually enjoyed it more than the previous film.
Team Godzilla so disappointed he was sidelined for a lot of the film. I also thought the final battle was too short and predictable. I still give it an 8/10

The action was pretty awesome, and the visuals were really cool. Also, I thought this was by far the funniest movie in the MonsterVerse so far.
If I had to complain about one thing, I think some characters were underutilized and I think they could have been more fleshed out if the movie was a bit longer.
Overall, I thought that this was a pretty big improvement over GvK, with better characters and better action.
I'd give it a 7/10 overall, and I am team Kong

Team Godzilla since I can remember. It’s one of my favorite pastimes. I was introduced to the Japanese made Godzilla films when I was young by my dad. We would watch them together.
I had fun with GvK, look forward to that with GxK. Glad to hear it's more Kong sided and that humans take the back seat. Thanks for the review as always!

Also I’m fine with this film being different than Minus One. There’s room for both campy monsters and social commentary monsters. :)
The entire point of King Kong’s character and story arc is that he has a connection with another person. So the fact that these movies don’t have this element is kind of baffling. They didn’t show why the girl cared about Kong at all. Watching two creatures fight in a videogame looking environment is just incredibly boring IMO

That should’ve been the name of this movie. Kong carried this movie like I expected he would just like the previous 2021 one. He was the main protagonist again. He had the most screen time. We see him early on like I expected he would. He had a story arc of feeling lonely.
To Godzilla fans, it’s not an insult to your Big G but it’s hard to give him character development or a story arc. He’s this giant reptilian dinosaur who is not going to show compassion like Kong did towards other apes getting enslaved by Skar King or has a connection to a deaf girl. The gist of Godzilla is destroy cities, fight other kaijus, or both if he’s not sleeping.
Even in the 2014 and 2019 movies without Kong, Godzilla was barely in those movies just like he’s barely in the last two MonsterVerse movies. He’s relegated in the background where he’s usually hibernating or napping inside Rome’s Colosseum.

I think this movie is up to par to what I expected it would be. The plot had been leaked for months now. They even spoiled the movie from the final trailer.
Being more of a Kong movie? ✅

Everything was pretty much on point to what I expected or predicted would happen. The only surprise was I thought Kong would lose the first fight to Skar King but he doesn’t technically lose to him. Kong would’ve handled him if Skar King didn’t show off Shimo. Kong is supposed to be 19 feet taller but Skar King and him look similar in height with Kong maybe being only 5 feet taller.
The low key MVPs are Suko and Mothra. Kong could’ve been killed in two moments and the latter coming from Godzilla nearly nuking him. Kong has volatile power in this movie. When he gets jumped by two apes, he still beats the living shit out of them. Even uses Suko as a weapon which made me chuckle. Then he kills that giant sea serpent and eats it. But then he will show his weaknesses from a toothache or injuries on both hands?
The difference between Godzilla vs. Kong is Godzilla heals really, really fast. He’s like Wolverine. While Kong feels the aches and pains and it lingers. But then Kong still showed he can kick ass. He’s an older-looking Kong but he can still hold his own. I like how Skar King tried sizing him up and then you see Kong hold his ground with shoulders up and head high without flinching. Kong walks like he’s royalty already. Like he’s finally *King* Kong.
I do like Skar King’s chuckle. It sounds very cool. And I did enjoy the scene when we first see him. He’s sitting on this throne and he gets up from it and starts walking around with some swag. From this movie alone, he’s probably my 2nd fav kaiju although I think he could’ve been a little more menacing. While Shimo is huge in comparison to Big G when we see them jump towards each other, I didn’t get much emotion out of Shimo since she was mostly in a trance.
I said it before that this movie would play out more like a Planet of the Apes movie with supersized apes and with the giant lizards being more as background characters and that’s exactly how it played out. Now do I like this movie more than Godzilla Minus One? No. I will watch it again but I don’t think it’s better than Minus One. Didn’t expect it would. It was a fairly predictable movie. I thought Godzilla vs. Kong had more creative fighting.
A couple of moments had some bad editing. The first one was when we first see Mothra. There’s zero build up for it. The other scene is when we see Jia return to Aileen. This moment happens right after Godzilla shoots his atomic breath to the sky. And I was disappointed seeing Tiamat for only 10 seconds. She’s supposed to be this badass sea dragon and Godzilla kills her quickly and bites her head off.

Suko acted like a little shit early on. But then he kinda redeemed himself after realizing Kong was a good ape not trying to hurt anyone.
Overall, I generally like Godzilla a little more than Kong as a character thanks to the cooler designs and his roar, BUT I do enjoy more of Kong’s movies. It’s a little more relatable to me. More tragic. You can see the sadness in Kong’s eyes. Godzilla is this total badass who would slaughter Kong in a fight but his movies aren’t all that interesting unless you only care about watching monsters fighting.
I did enjoy the ending where we see Kong riding Shimo and Suko on top of Kong’s shoulder. Kong is an ape and similar to lions, they need to be in groups. While Godzilla is more like a tiger or leopard. He’s generally a loner and hunts by himself. So seeing Kong like that next to Shimo gave him the friends and family he always wanted. Gave a finale to his story arc. Again, think of Planet of the Apes.
If Kong and Shimo teamed up to fight Godzilla, I would pick Kong and Shimo to win if Godzilla doesn’t kill one of them first. But if it’s 1v1, Godzilla would beat them individually. I think had Shimo continued on fighting Godzilla and the trance wasn’t broken, she would’ve lost the fight. Godzilla is still the King of the Monsters and the GOAT kaiju. Kong is the GOAT ape character from any media.
6/10 as a general movie
7.5/10 as a kaiju movie
2/10 for character development
But nobody cares about the human characters in MV movies. They’re so forgettable and time wasters.
I’m not feeling the Barbie pink on Godzilla 2024. I’m happy with my GvK Hiya Exquisite Basic V2 Godzilla. But I did like his design prior to getting into Tiamat’s lair and getting the pink scales. I also prefer how Kong looked in the 2021 movie but this older Kong is very likable too. He has a good heart and shows flashes of Kratos from the 2018 and 2022 GOW games.

I’m going to rewatch Skull Island. I might rate it higher after I see it a few times. I know Sean Chandler enjoys that movie. It seems the 2019 movie is the most popular in polls from kaiju/Godzilla fans because it’s like the Showa and Heisei era G films.
I notice more Black people and females love Kong more while more guys outside being Black prefers Godzilla. I like them fairly equally but neither Godzilla or Kong are among my top 20 favorite movie/TV/fictional characters ever. I still prefer more human characters than monsters.

GxK is not better than Minus One but it’s probably more rewatchable being it’s dumb fun watching kaijus beat the living shit out of each other. The scene in Rio when it started to look like a Super Smash Bros. game was chaotic and a lot of fun.

This movie honestly pissed me off. Garreth Edwards did so much to make Godzilla a spectacle and in this movie, that's completely lost.
I appreciate your opinion/review, but I gotta say, I think with this movie there is such a thing as over-analyzing, lol. Godzilla is written to do his part in this overall plot/story, this is a Kong focused story, and that's fine. The signal they were discovering came to fruition in the beginning of the third act, and the end battle felt earned. The glove was because he had frostbite from Shimo, which is fine, his arm got messed up due to Scar King controlling Shimo and her releasing her ice breath. This movie was fine, it was fun, and when you try to analyse it with logic, you lose credibility as a critic. This is a good movie, it's meant to be fun, not to over-analyse, it's monster fights, it's not Schindlers List 😂 so when people attempt to dump on this movie, it's those people who come across looking a bit silly, because the movie is silly, so discrediting it for its silliness is null & void. The only review this movie should get is 2 camps: you either like this stuff, or you don't. It's as simple as that in my opinion.

This movie was the definition of dumb fun. No nuance or subtlety, but that’s ok. Team Kong and Dan Stevens!
Seeing it today! I’m cautiously optimistic. I’m a bit turned off by all the dumb human side stories that have plagued some of the more recent entries, but they’re at least entertaining. I’m also disappointed to hear once again it’s a Kong-heavy film with Godzilla taking a backseat again. I don’t mind Kong but Godzilla is a Kaiju on a whole other level and I didn’t like how they portrayed him as being a bit of a bully in the last one. He was far more benevolent in his first two movies. I prefer that.
9:11 well… to be fair, would you rather a few city blocks be destroyed or several cities?
Team Godzilla stands up
Team Kong and being that team, I'm glad the monsterverse films have focused on Kong and the Motion Capture for Kongs face is so well done. I went to see it today and This film is my version of monster movie where I buy the ticket to watch giant monsters punch each other and brawl. I haven't seen Minus One but will eventually check it out and see a human centered Godzilla film. The last 40 minutes of this film is what I signed up for. Definitely has a chance to be my Taco Supreme of the year. Might have some competition with Twisters coming out this Summer.
As a lifelong fan whose greatest passion to this day is still probably Godzilla, I had an absolute blast with this movie. The Monsterverse version of Godzilla has became my favorite iteration of the character a few years ago. I’ve really liked or loved every MV flick and while King of the Monsters and Godzilla 2014 are still my favorites, it’s The New Empire right after that for me.
While I prefer the Monsterverse obviously Minus One was great in its own way. Being the die hard fan I have been the franchise has always enjoyed a rich variety of stories and styles since the 60’s. I think it’s great we still get that today. There’s room for both and the part of the “fandom” acting elitist over their preferences is ridiculous and immature. There’s always been room for both.
I know you don’t see Godzilla and all this on the deep level I do as we’ve talked about before (which is fine) but I’m just glad you can still have fun with it too. It just does me happy and the past decade has been such an unexpected golden age of being the fan I have been since I was a baby.

I of course am aware of the logic issues but the movie is too, it fully knows it. It definitely comes across as a modern Showa era inspired kaiju movie in spirit.
And honestly to me if a movie is self aware and is made to entertain and it does, I still see it as a good movie personally.

Hmm.. 🤔 That’s a tricky one for me to answer. I grew up loving both since I saw King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962) on TV back in 1987-1988 when I was about 7.
Now I think Godzilla is cooler. He’s really a kaiju that Kong wasn’t intended to be back in 1933. The original King Kong stood at 25-30 feet. OG Godzilla ‘54 or Minus One G23 at 164 feet would just step on Kong to kill him if he stood at 25-30 feet like he did in 1933 and 2005.
If let’s say I’m a toy collector, I would pick Godzilla. He’s the more interesting creature to collect toys of. And I know a lot of guys when they were younger enjoyed dinosaurs when they were little kids, so Godzilla is like the ultimate dinosaur to them. He’s this atomic-breathing dragon with Jaws-like dorsal plates.
However, I did grow up watching more Kong movies as a kid as it’s catered more to American audiences. I saw the 1976 and 1986 movies of him as a child. King Kong Lives actually made me cry at the end as a kid. I saw the 2005 movie in the theater. I frequented Universal Studios Hollywood many times and would see Kong every time I took the tram tour. I would see a Kong sign at the CityWalk.
It’s tough for me to choose. Can I just say I’m on both teams or I’m neutral? I did order hats from Redbubble which says Team Godzilla and Team Kong which both arrived on the same day. I’ll wear a Godzilla shirt with a Team Kong hat. Or I’ll wear a Kong shirt with a Team Godzilla hat. I have their 2021 figures standing next to each other on top of a shelf in my room.
If you put a gun on my head and I had to choose only one, then it’s probably Kong. He does have the better personality. He’s a nice guy. He didn’t want to see those other apes enslaved and getting beaten. He also can connect with a human girl. If both existed in real life, I would rather have Kong protecting me than Godzilla. I think you could at least rationalize with Kong. While Godzilla could go berserk and kill every living person in the world.
I thought when Godzilla charged at Kong in Egypt, it was a dick move by him. Kong wasn’t looking to fight and where’s Godzilla’s gratitude after Kong saved Godzilla’s life against Mechagodzilla from 4 years earlier as GvK was set in 2024 and GxK is set in 2028? But I did grin when Godzilla performed a suplex on Kong. That was fun. And I did enjoy Kong using Suko as a weapon. It’s the campy and super cheesy Showa era done in modern times.
It’s pretty obvious Godzilla would destroy Kong in a straight up fight but that doesn’t mean I enjoy Godzilla more as an actual *character* with multiple layers to his personality. It’s like Batman v Superman. I’m a Batman fan all the way. But I know he has no shot at beating Superman unless he had Kryptonite gas as seen in the 2016 movie. If Superman wanted to kill Batman, he would use his red lasers and Bruce would instantly be dead.
Even in the good Godzilla movies from ‘54 or -1, what complex personality did Godzilla ever have? Yeah, it’s probably Team Kong for me or at least during the last two MonsterVerse movies. But I do prefer Godzilla slightly more overall since I’m one of those guys who grew up loving dinosaurs as a kid. Now if I had to choose between watching let’s say Godzilla Minus One or King Kong (2005)? I would choose KK05. That Peter Jackson movie might be over 3-hours but it’s highly rewatchable.
Good thing I like both Godzilla and Kong, so I don’t really care. I’m not a one-sided, one-dimensional fanboy. Enjoy them all. I enjoyed Sega and Nintendo when they went at it in the 90s. I’m also a big fan of Mechagodzilla and he’s kicked Godzilla’s ass several times in previous movies. Mechagodzilla has defeated Godzilla the most among G’s opponents.

Team Godzilla! So yeah, kinda disappointed in this one. Kong is just fine for me. This one felt way too silly, moreso that Godzilla vs Kong. The collatoral of fighting was ignored in the MCU until Civil War for the most part, so hopefully a future Monsterverse movie dives into that.

I watched this today, and I loved it. It's giant creatures brawling, so why not embrace the wacky nature of the concept and go goofy too? I'm team Kong all the way, and I'm so glad this was a movie with Kong very much at the heart of it's focus. As far as Godzilla's 'sidequests' are cconcerned, I'm failry certain its because he felt the signal from Hollow Earth too - Dr Andrews mentioned he *maybe* could feel them, so I'm fairly certain it just wasn't fully explained but the pieces were there to solve the puzzle
