so here is a fun tip how to get actual good stuff for relatively cheap: Look for places that sell second hand clothes or, what we call in Germany "B-ware", which is just brand new stuff that didn't make it through quality control within the production somewhere due to a small (most of the time minor cosmetic) flaw. I actually work at a store that sells things like that and while we don't get luxury brands, we get pretty decent stuff sometimes. Some people even come in to donate their big brand things they barely even wore. Also, companies like Tom Tailor donate their brand new shoes to us on a regular basis and we also sold some very high quality toys once (some Baby Born that had just come out, we even have a few Barbies!) There are legal ways to obtain original, good brand clothes for a fraction of the original cost is what I am trying to say. You just need to put some effort in and look around your local thrift/second hand stores or find out where you can buy "B-ware" or maybe even go and look for warehouse deals (stuff that was bought online and then returned so it can't be sold as new anymore)

I've worked with Customs, they are more likely to open an overly well wrapped package. They get flagged as possible attempt to conceal. Police will never try to catch someone walking out of the store but will always try to catch one running out of it.
@@AceRanger20 I don't know why your comment made me think of that just for Trolling Customs... Imagine someone ship a box with just a note inside reading "Oh hi, thank for checking in but i'm still a piece of garbage!!! (Hi Customs)"
Customs will be opening every box he just described in detail. He is the definition of "never let them know your next move" but the opposite.
They dont even need to open it to see inside they have X-rays. If your mail is to pass through a city they will just use that to look inside to make sure its safe to send out.
Customs haven't got time for that
"Always let them know your next move"
I love how his advice is essentially "Reinforce the box and seal it multiple times to make it look as suspicious as you possibly can to ensure it gets the CBP's attention."
@@mumsspaghetti6649customs will just cut thru everything he talked about in seconds
Why is he ac ting as if knock-offs are a viable, legal option to just buying the brands one can actually afford? His whole argument about how he only intends to wear each pair once or twice proves he IS obsessed with brands and image. Buy shoes that fit your proce range, plan to wear them more than twice. Does that sound like some sort of insane hardship in a world where so many people actually go to bed hungry, if they even HAVE a bed? If this is the attitude he plans to bring to a courtroom, he's in for a really unpleasant surprise.
Because he's profiting from it with affiliate links I would think. Everyone calling him stupid here but he knows what he's doing and he's acting to minimize the damage.
Expect a further lawsuit from Balenciaga , this guy just doesn't know when to stfu.

it would be hysterical if Balenciaga tapped in with their own lawsuit just for their own luls

He’s not wearing a Balenciaga hoodie. Which is entirely the point. It’s a knock off.
Well hopefully he can make counterfeit money for his books in federal prison
It sounds like no one ever explained to him that once you turn 18, shit gets real.
"I'm 22 bro" means nothing in a lawsuit.
Giving people advice on how to illegally smuggle contraband into the country is really playing with fire. I don't know if he's crossed the line, but he needs to start worrying about ICE agents paying him a visit and a potential stay in Club Fed.
It's clearly protected by the 1A, calling something violating a brands copyright contraband is disingenuous even if the shoe fits, it's not illegal to purchase counterfeits.
@@dragonproductions236 Importing them is illegal. 18 USC 2320 can give you a big fine and up to 10 or 20 years in Club Fed, for trafficking, if the elements are met. 19 USC 1526 generally prohibits the import, and allows for seizure and civil penalties. 18 USC 545 can get you 20 years in Club Fed for smuggling. 545 includes anyone facilitating the concealment, which could possibly apply here; or the advice could possibly fall under some form of conspiracy statute.

so here is a fun tip how to get actual good stuff for relatively cheap:
Look for places that sell second hand clothes or, what we call in Germany "B-ware", which is just brand new stuff that didn't make it through quality control within the production somewhere due to a small (most of the time minor cosmetic) flaw. I actually work at a store that sells things like that and while we don't get luxury brands, we get pretty decent stuff sometimes. Some people even come in to donate their big brand things they barely even wore. Also, companies like Tom Tailor donate their brand new shoes to us on a regular basis and we also sold some very high quality toys once (some Baby Born that had just come out, we even have a few Barbies!)
There are legal ways to obtain original, good brand clothes for a fraction of the original cost is what I am trying to say. You just need to put some effort in and look around your local thrift/second hand stores or find out where you can buy "B-ware" or maybe even go and look for warehouse deals (stuff that was bought online and then returned so it can't be sold as new anymore)
Right after 9/11 i got a postcard from USPS, on security measures regarding packages.
One thing they considered a red flag was excessive packaging, like everything he mentioned.
This type of people are usually colloquially called "Losers" because they can't even steal the right way.
Also he probably pissed a lot of people that was probably doing this quietly. xD
I don’t work in customs, but I feel like wrapping your box in tons of layers of extra packaging is a way to guarantee customs will open your box.
This guy's advice is the absolute *worst* thing a shipper of counterfeit goods could do, which is to draw attention to their package by making it look conspicuously different for no apparent reason.
Not from China, they all do that pretty much.
I've worked with Customs, they are more likely to open an overly well wrapped package. They get flagged as possible attempt to conceal.
Also certainly in Europe the postal services do not employ minimum wage people to check items coming in, these are trained customs officers, we also have sniffer dogs on site too.
Yeah, that comment about customs inspectors making minimum wage made me chuckle. He obviously knows nothing about how CBP works.

Did anyone else ever watch those Airport Customs shows out of England in the 2000s? They opened sus and well packaged boxes all the time 💀 like how is that his logic? It looks SO sus
They don’t even have to open it they x ray packages if they are to pass through a city
Yep, they'll even use a drill to get into sealed metal/plastic frames if they think there could be something inside (so many manufacturers put stuff inside for weight that looks dodgy on scanners). Customs are no joke - I can say that from personal experience. 😅

Customs absolutely doesn't give a shyt about how well the packaging is done. Putting the package back together after its sliced open for inspection is the least of a customs officer concerned.
Now, i have no idea if that's true, but I'm not the one getting sued.
My mom and aunt send stuff to each other across continents, and if you make the box hard to open, you're garnered to have it opened for inspection!
My best guess is the dude assumes he's completely screwed, so might as well release as much information as possible. Oddly enough, he really doesn't have any actual information that's valuable, nothing he says isn't already widely known throughout industries and easily googled. Much less a guru, and more just a walking advertisement for kids with too much money.
all that he's really doing is providing more evidence for Nike and whatever other designer brand chooses to sue him next.

Im more inclined to think if you package an item like that the authority’s would find it suspicious and be MUCH MORE likely to open it
He's wearing Balenciaga. Throw him in jail just for that
I can absolutely guarantee that no matter how you wrap your package, Customs will still X-Ray, scan and run it by the dogs. Also, if your package stands out too much, Customs will rip that thing open in a heartbeat.

Buying Knock offs should not be illegal at the point of Sale and they should go after the Factory....The line being crossed is "scamming" a retail store into accepting a fake return.
It’s not illegal in the US to buy/own a knockoff. It’s illegal to resell a knockoff. And of course it’s a crime to steal from a store by replacing authentic merchandise with fake then returning it.
I think that in Europe it’s illegal to own a knockoff though.
@@ALT-vz3jn yeah my understanding is its kind of a grey area, buying it/owning it is not a crime but trying to pass it off as real is actually a huge crime. Can he? I thought GoFundMe had rules against fundraising for legal fees related to crimes, and I'm sure they have no real interest in possibly tangling with Nike over any money assets he raises
