The Bone Spear Necromancer is a POWERFUL build. And after sinking over 1,000 combined hours into this character, we finally figured out the BEST all-around set up. Here's the updated version of the Spear Necro for Season 1 of Diablo 4.

Great video man! Been refreshing your page waiting for this one. I learned a few things I’m going to change in my build and paragon.
Some additional thoughts:
-Disobedience is kind of a wasted aspect in PvP. Your current setup would need ~86 stacks to reach the armor cap, which against a single target is basically not going to happen in a normal PvP encounter. If you are just casting bone spear from range, or worse if they get the jump on you, you are nowhere near the cap (at 5:00 you see 10 casts of bone spear on a stationary Lilith target and you are only at like ~60ish stacks). In the PvP clips here, you are usually sitting at 5-20 stacks. That’s less than a single gear slot with +% armor stat.
-Exploiters Aspect does not work in PvP (bugged) unless this has been fixed in the last week
-If you are using IM in PvP, have you tried the IM aspect? The stun might’ve been able to save you from the blizz sorc at 9:00 and other spammy classes without perma-unstoppable (rogue, necro, sorc).
-If you haven’t tried it yet, double blight-aspects on Bone Prison for the pull can replace corpse tendrils as a pretty fun way to apply vulnerable, interrupt charging unstoppable enemies, and catch runners with a splintered bone spear to the back (especially since the crit damage from corpse tendrils is wasted anyway in PvP).
Hopefully someone reading this finds something useful to their build.

Was running your other previous necro build +experimenting w different things in the build but i must say out of all the necro builds I've seen.... yours is hands down the best. @@Coooley i can't even imagine honestly because the other build was insane. Definitely know what im running for season 1 though. Been getting alot of drops with sever as if it wasn't trying to hint to me 😂😂😂. Still running the other build on my lvl70 necro but ive been experimenting with iron maiden + blood mist as i saw you messing around with different things +weapons (scythe) etc a few weeks ago and i got bored one day so i started experimenting. But hands down the best necro builds. Literally the only diablo 4 content im over here biting my nails waiting on..... Lol seriously.. appreciate all you do for real. I know the amount of time that goes into this stuff. Much appreciated.

I’m trying blight with minions / army of the ded on hc, first build I haven’t actually died with yet and it’s not bad for pve / farming etc
What level do you recommend adapting the 'old' bone spear build into this one? I'm 85 atm. Is it bad for doing dungeons before level 100? I mean, REALLY more focused on killing Uber Lilith or it's perfect for grinding too? Great video btw, you're awesome!!
Good question, man. I would say it's fine to adapt it now. You can just leave out the final board (corporeal) until you get the paragon points.
Wasnt aware of the 200% cap on crit damage. Does anyone know if this cap stacks with Crit Dmg on specific skills? For example - say you have 190% Crit Strike Damage, but also have 65% Crit Strike Damage with Earth Skills. Are you now over cap by 55%? To further complicate this there is also Crit Dmg to vuln and stuff...Thanks!
all crit damage is one multiplier:

^ that entire bucket can be maxed at 200% as far as I understand it.

Would this build and Paragon still be viable after the nerf we as Necro’s just received?
Level 100 and 13 helltides of grinding, I average 1000 obels every 15 minutes, and I mapped out the most efficient route for events. I still can't get my exposed flesh.
I got 5 of em but not a single deathless visage …. Just hillarious

What does 13 helltides of grinding mean?
On the skill tree in the link, is it a mistake, when you opt-in for Decrepify instead of Iron Maiden?
That's the PvP version, but honestly yes. I'm actually enjoying IM in PvP over Decrep now, too. For the Life on kill when you are surrounded by monsters.
Question- second paragon board essence or gravekeeper for the glyph?
First board: Sacrificial Glyph 5:58
Second board (Bone Graph): Essence Glyph 6:12
Third Board (Scent of Death): Imbiber Glyph 6:29
Fourth board (Blood Begets Blood ): Coporial Glyph 6:42
Fifth Board for uber Lilith (Flesh Eater): Amplify Glyph 6:52
Sixth Board(Blood bath Skip the legendary Node): Exploit Glyph
should look into earthen bulwark druid builds with cap damage reduction wile injured and fortified.. pretty much unkillable

I hate bone prison personally as well😀
The six wall segments of bone prison are considered minions so you drop 12% damage reduction from Stand Alone whilst those walls are up.

There will be a patch on the 18th a few days before season 1, with rumor of a bone spear nerf, this build may be good NOW but theres a FAT chance it will still be relevant for season 1.
If they nerf bone spear, there's literally NO necro builds that are viable.
@@Coooleyblood lance once it's fixed is pretty good for dung crawling and blood nova is decent , once they fix some necro bugs with like having golem as a skill (retarded) minion with the surge album and mendlin I think will be insane.

Howcome you went with the Armor aspect on your Chest? I thought that at high level armor is basically useless.
Disobedience? Mainly to hit the ~9200 for PvP, but also... I don't believe armor is completely useless, is it?

@@Coooley Its effectiveness drops dramatically beyond level 15 because you need many times more armor to get the same % of damage reduction, so it's pretty much useless at high level - unless you have no other useful aspect to put there.

Bui’s Paragon board is my approach to the Bone Spear Nec. I run a 5 board set up rather than the 6 board set up that Coooley uses.
@@Bui6 ah thanks bro! So both have PVP versions .. is there any debate to which one is most overall successful in PvP ? Damage wise , survival wise or just in general overall the better PVP
@@nicolasfiorante9671 I’ve found a lot of success with my build (even against the terrifying HOTA Barbs), but Cooley has his own slightly different approach for PvP. D4 PvP is still in the infant stages so lots of things are still being tested!
@@Bui6 appreciate it bro , yeah I have been pvping a lot! And like to think I have a top Druid , I barely lose unless it’s a top tier HOTA or Rogue, I just can’t beat them. That’s why I am interested in the Necromancer for next season. I don’t think Druid will get better.
I THINK it means Beat (or Best) Uber Lillith, that's what it looks like to me anyway judging by the paragon board. AFAIK, all Bone Spear Lillith kills rely on the Flesh-eater legendary node which the PvE/PvP build doesn't use.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but "22%(x)" is just adding 22% of your damage right? If so, it's good but is it good enough for the emphasis? Haha

The Sanctuary discord. Bui and I verified with a smaller sample size and saw similar results. As far as extensive data on it, try reaching out to Vex or Proph12 in Sanctuary!

Why skip Scent of Death legendary node and the two +1 essence of kill nodes?
Essence isn't really a big problem with this version. We skip scent of death because, so often, it turns into DR quickly. We're prioritizing consistent damage on the boards.

Because hitting problematic bosses with Tendrils is what we want to be doing and that leads to WAY more damage.

Can someone please explain to me why I end up running out of essence but others don’t?
you need ALL of the essence skills shown in this video if you don't have any thats just the way its gonna be until you do that lucky hit for 50 essence is insane aswell as 4 essence for crowd controlled enemies this includes each individual enemy so even 5 which is way less than youd probably grab gives another 25 free essence pair that with you main essence basic skill gen and your bone storm also proc'ing essence skills and your pretty much at infinite essence in any dungeon
The links in your description show the build with decrepify, not iron maiden. Just saying.
In season 1 they will add some kind of legendary gems with extra effects and yet you still use normal gems. Is it because they haven't all been revealed yet or is this some kind of generic build that will then be improved by legendary gems?
I'm hoping for an improvement with the new gems, but we can't place them in the guides yet (I don't believe they're all revealed). I'll update the link when we have more info, though.

I have like 800++ ilvl on everything but my attack power just like 9k before😂😂, and i hit mobs like 400k only with 2 handed swords, and than i realize Paragon and esscen change everything 💪💪💪, and now my dps like 1mil and no out of mana at all and im so happy

As a pure summoner necro I decided to stop that shit and completely change my build and yes necro is really powerful without minions. Blizzard should really buff minions : 1 slot only and buff life minions because they die so quickly : just go in Helltides with 7 warriors and 5 mages and wait 😂

If Blizzard wanted me to play a summon Necro, they'd give me a reason to. Summons are ass currently and very underpowered. I feel bad for people wasting their time with those builds.
You really can’t say “top build” because you don’t know what the malignant hearts are going to do or what changes to the class they are going to make by season one 🤗
its not a 9x, 10x, 22x. its 9%, 10%, and 22%. 9x would be 900%.
This build will be nerfed on the next patch before Season 1, just like Druid and Barbarian will get a very hard nerf. Forget about taking 30% of total life damage in a boss, no one will be able to do that anymore because the blizzard staff don't want the game going that way.
Bone spear will be nerfed unfortunately. I had a build with bone spear but started a newer build because of this.

It's funny how people want to nerf spear... But that will straight up kill the class.
In order to nerf spear, necro has to have another viable build. At least one!
Of course you might argue that inifini-mist or minions could do fine, but those are nieche and slow...
Meanwhile druids can hit millions of damage on entire screen while being perma unstoppable and running and max speed... as an example.
Necro and Sorc are the two outliers that require setup before they can hurt and are locked into use 4 specific skills to be viable.
Forget about nerfs. Spear is very well balanced as it is.

Depends what you're doing:
1.) If you're doing Tier 60+ dungeons, stop. There's no point in doing these in D4 right now.
2.) if you're dying to Lilith, she'll practically always one-shot you anyway
3.) If you're doing PvP, try the 5-board setup
4.) If something else, it's likely a difference of playstyle so try using DR on your armor instead of damage.
I am lvl 95, i had NEVER even seen the essence aspect... i am going to helltide and the wanky dealer for rings everytime but the game hates me for real
It's so stupid that you can't find that aspect consistently and that it's not available at the Occultist...
And i was Lv 89 when i got my first ever Deathless Visage drop.🤷♀

Your build rocks. I previously changend my Necro to blight/ring of Mendeln minion build but it doesn't pack a punch. Your build though looks awesome. Damn...no i have to farm a lot of gold to reset my paragon tree..uff.

Who exactly calls necro "one of the worst classes in the game"??? Necro boasts the highest DPS skill (bone spear) as well as the highest survivability build (infinimist)
They’re traditionally believed to be awful in PvP. Died to everyone 1 shot, no mobility to run away, no cc break to escape perma stun, etc
