In this clip, Michael Thompson spoke about his time in Folsom Prison, where he was part of the Aryan Brotherhood, which led to him telling a story about an altercation with The Black Guerrilla Family. He explained the events leading up to the incident, including the National Guard coming in and seizing a host of weapons. However, Michael explained that they weren’t deterred, and started taking bones from the kitchen to makeshift weapons. Michael then revealed that he got a connect to get his own weapons from the outside. From there, Michael detailed the altercation, which he said was about 30-40 BGF members to 10 of his guys, with Michael and another guy being the only ones with weapons on their side. The $hit this man has seen! My Uncle Ray went to prison in Illinois in 1978. I was only a few months old at the time. He got out when I was 21. Covered in tattoos and scars from stabbings. I am 45 now. We lost Ray about 5 yrs ago to a heart attack. He went in a member of the pagans m.c. The stories he told me over the years he was out were both exciting, and frightening! He always said he was in The Brand while incarcerated, but I never had any real proof besides his word and some prison photos. Even in his 70’s Ray was not a man people would mess with! I do miss talks with him!
USP Marion was an AB stronghold at that time, so if your uncle served time there his story is definitely plausible.

Ok, from what ive gathered. Michael was actually one of the toughest best fighters around. However, most guys who were in prison with him that are still around have said hes exaggerated, fabricated, and flat out made up alot of shit. The dumb part about it is apparently there was no need for him to make up BS because he was an extremely dangerous fighter. I believe hes made stuff up and or exaggerated but that he was for a time a serious hitter.

Second option...you haven’t been locked up, you don’t know that a majority of C.Os are non-white and actually blacks are over represented as C.O’s. 1 in 5 C.O’s is black in the CDCR but only 6% of California is. Whites are under represented. Less than half are white but about half the state is. Dunno which option accurately encapsulates your situation, but almost all C.O’s are not white. That’s false.
