Or, as Finneas described in one of his Grammy speeches: "We made an album about depression, climate change, and being the bad guy... whatever that means..." XD
I like your interpretation! I heard Billie say that it's about: Guys always are trying to put on that they are tough guys, but they aren't! So, if they are going to be tough guys, she'll be the bad guy! She's really not, but if guys put on false fronts she can too! (I like metal, too!)
@@jamiesmith2724 What OP posted is exactly what Billie said about the song. "If they can be the tough guy character, I can be the bad guy. The might steal your dad guy."

Delicate Dabs All true metal heads know music is art doesn’t matter what genre it is just a lot of days metal is our go too.. music is music and art is art.
She's being tongue and cheek overall, DUH. She's making fun of the guys who have that "tough, rough, chest puffed" alpha character. And then she's like, oh yeah, "I'm gonna make your girlfriend mad, your mom sad." SHE will be the "bad guy." Examples: "I like it when you take control... I'll LET you play the roll, I'll be your animal." She's in charge here. How her own mom would "pity the men" she knows. The end she's like "oh your gf's scared of me? Why?" She's wearing his cologne.
She’s talked about the song in interviews, about how the song is dealing with how guys will talk about how bad, hard, and tough they are, but she knows that they’re not and that they’re just putting on an act. So she’s like, “fine, then I’m a bad guy too!”
I love almost all music! I’m a huge fan of hers because of how unique and original she is. I just want to say I think it’s really cool you guys are open to other music and seeing your reactions is great. I’m going to follow your channel🙌🏻
I’m actually so happy to see you guys diving into her music! I really hope you guys go for Finneas’s projects too (it’s her brother but his sound is different than hers)
I love how they get into how she’s such a deep artist (which she totally is) before her silly joke song. But before her deep song (Everything I wanted) they were making circumcision jokes. Proves they aren’t listening before hand.
Hello boys.. I too am a metal head. One who was sucked into the Billie Eilish rabbit hole when I first heard Ocean Eyes years ago. Now I get to enjoy watching her and her brothers success like a proud Momma. I’d love to see your reaction to ‘You Should See Me In A Crown’.. and since we’re all metal heads here, how about some Spanish Metal? May i suggest Rata Blanca from Argentina? Greetings from California 🦇🦇
Awesome, we'll check into it. In the meantime; we've done some reactions to Nervosa from Sao Paulo, Brazil and Lacerated and Carbonized from Rio De Janerio, Brazil. If you haven't heard of them yet, you should check 'em out!
I like your talking and commentary. Something cool to know, I’ve been to a ton of metal concerts from rob zombie to lamb of god etc. this was visually one of the most pleasing concerts I’ve ever been to. Very dark but she tells a story! It’s amazing. Lot of young girls there obviously but still a great concert otherwise lol love billy Ellish!
I love that, I just came across your guy's channel... I love that this isn't the " typical " music you guys listen to, but you guys see her talent. And now you're in love with the one we call Billie Eilish !!!
As a metalhead, I like her unique sound and style and think the origins of her career are pretty cool. Idk why she gets so much hate, but I guess the more successful u are the more haters u get.
It's the ultra-religious loonies that start the hate trains about her, they say she is a reincarnation of the devil lmao. (regular religious people are fine, I'm not talking about them) Also, people that don't believe in climate change hate her too because she regularly mentions that we need to move away from activities that are harmful to the planet. So those people try to spread hate about her any chance they can get
Yay more Billie! Not going to lie, I was definitely hoping for When the Party's Over lol. But Bad Guy is still awesome and that production at the end is I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-LE
Sporto was getting into this song hardcore! Lmao. Love it. I like seeing all sorts of different people liking her music. She said on Jimmy Fallon once that she wanted to make an album where she could take a bunch of different people with very different music tastes and everyone of those people would like at least one song. I was skeptical at first but now I love all her music. Her voice, her imagery, her lyrics. Everything. Keep these Billie Eilish videos coming guys 🤘🏻
You should definitely see the animated version music video of Billie Eilish's "You Should See Me in a Crown". Animation done by Takashi. Very interesting and very cool! And her video, "All Good Girls Go To Hell". Both her and her brother have stated that they make music that they enjoy. Not so much to "win" awards, but music that when they go back years later to listen to, they are still happy with it.
Agreeing with the people I see in the comments! Billie said in an interview, she is criticizing/ giving her take of the men with personalities type that they are "big strong alpha type dudes that think they're so bad but they're really not" and shes saying she can be bad too. (But she laughed and said she isn't really bad.) This song is one of the few I've ever seen her explain because she prefers leaving the songs open to interpretation. I'm so glad you guys are checking her out!
Hi guys, I’m not going to bore you with my history but suffice to say I grew up listening to Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Hendrix, Pink Floyd etc. In the late 60s and early 70s. However I have recently become hooked into listening to Billie Eilish because she has a very different quality to so many other dreary performers out there. I went to a Beth Hart concert in Manchester UK last night btw and she was top class too. I’m loving your reactions to B E , I am also trying to interpret her lyrics, for someone so young she is a super talent.

You guys should check out her first song, ocean eyes. She was 13 when she wrote it. But when the party’s over would be fun to hear what you guys say. A very different song than what you guys have heard so far. Love your channel. You guys are great!
Thanks for reacting to Billy. I just learned about her 2 weeks ago. On this new album which includes Bad Guy and Bury a Friend, she sings low and soft. Her older songs showcase her voice more. All her stuff sounds great to me
Love Billie, all of her songs are taken very personal to her family. I think my favorite one is the life version of "I Love You" at the Greek. I also would like to say thanks for going out of your comfort zone and reacting to something different.
i love these videos they're so entertaining, i feel like most grown men wouldn't even given her a chance-they all just shake their heads, so very cool of you guys!

She said in an interview that this song was based on the idea that if men can act macho and talk about how great they are, then she can too, even if it's not true.
So stoked to see people actually appreciate her music, sometimes people get jaded just because they hear she’s popular. For all of us who loved her before she blew up on the mainstream we’ve seen her artistic talent for a long time so I love to see when people notice it immediately.
Also I’ve been binging your Billie reactions and I love y’all! I love how much you react to her videos with such raw emotion, like blood on her face and you’re like 😮😮😮
I saw the movie “Brightburn” in the theater. This song plays at the end. I shazammed it in the theater and listened to it all the way home in the car. Once I let the next song “Xanny” play and I thought it blew out my speakers. I got home, flopped on my bed and watched “Bury a Friend” and never looked back. I Stan a queen for real.
Hey, I really love Billie but I grew up on the kinds of music you guys listen to it makes me really happy to see you guys unbiased and reviewing her works. Hope to see more, I recommend ALL GOOD GIRLS GO TO HELL because it has a part in it that relates to the other video you reacted to, bury a friend.
Lol Billie rabbit hole! I fell in a year ago, im a 50 year old female and love her, the more i learn about her the more i love her! React to her vanity fair interview, they interview her in 2017, then the same day same year 2018, then they dis it again same day same year 2019, they really give you a wonderful look at who she is! She has a very old sole for 18!
I've watched alot of reactions to this video and I'm surprised how, no matter the perception, nobody mentions how much fun it looks like she's having. She's dancing like we do in our kitchens/bedroom etc. Its so not "choreographed danced sequence "and I love the sheer fun of her energy.
Your thoughts on the songs are funny and interesting. I’m married to a metal head, but he knows not to touch the radio when Billie comes on. Also, I like that you seem to genuinely appreciate her music even if it is not what you’re normally into.
Bellyache!!!...this one is really easy to interpret, but I love the music...different than her other songs. What is truly unique about these siblings is that they walk around recording interesting sounds (like a dentist drill) and they incorporate it to their music.
i love when you guys react to her 🖤 you should react to “when the party’s over”!! it’s one of my personal favorites. and then “all the good girls go to hell”
Basically it's a joke, hence the "duh" finishing up the chorus. @parkviewmo had it right as well, that it's poking fun at "tough guys". There's a video on Rolling Stones magazine's channel where Billie and her brother break down the meaning and production of the song.
I think I'm falling into the rabbit hole of watching your videos :D I'm a metalhead too but I do love Billie, she's very unique and creative, the song that got me to listening to her is "Lovely", it's very beautiful, you should also react to "when the party's over" and maybe to "you should see me in a crown" the vertical version just for the video (I personally can't get myself to watch). You should also check out "Twenty one pilots", they have a song called "Chlorine" with an interesting video
Even if you don't do a video on it, you should listen to Xanny (with headphones on - trust me on this) it's probably one of my favourite songs by her - the whole point of the song was to try and make the music feel like what it's like being sober around people who have taken Xanax Also you should listen to her performing live Some background to Billie, she was actually homeschooled but would always participate in dance groups, choir, etc. Her parents also always had a rule at home where if Billie or Finneas were creating music they didn't have to go to bed (her parents are also actors and musicians themselves)
@@helenhunt5414 it needs to be the video tho. i will never forget how bad my heart broke watching it with my teenage kids. i cried, they were both like: dad, are you ok? are you actually crying? it's a disturbing video and the fact that it isn't CGI is blowing my mind.
I'd love to see you guys talking more about yourselves during a reaction, it was fun the mention to the ex that resembles billie. I'm surfing your reactions and hope to find some frow other "eras" and her new album. billie and finneas together are serious shit, incredibly intelligent and talented
I want to reiterate as a metalhead myself, I get a lot of shit for being a ride or die Billie Eilish fan. I am so glad to see more people (especially metalheads) enjoying her music. I absolutely love her, and I am glad to see you guys dig her stuff too... and aren't afraid to show that you do.
Just to say upfront as a disclaimer so there isn't any misinterpretation. I'm not trying to be a doucher or sound condescending in this reply: So, It's pretty easy for me to miss a LOT. 47 to 55 hours a week at work. Lousy radio stations in our area. I come home and either sleep, watch history videos or retro game... I'm pretty old too on top of that. So, yeah. I hadn't ever heard of her prior to our first video reaction. Bowzer has a family and works about as much as I do. That is partially the reason we got into doing this channel, to catch up on stuff we've been missing and check it out and to just have more time to hang out like we used to.
The first time I watched these guys was the reaction video to "everything I wanted" video. Definitely been a rabbit hole, but it's fun to see a fresh perspective on Billie. I'm not a hardcore fan, but I do follow quite a bit of her work. I think the two of you would enjoy her video "you should see me in a crown". If that's not metal, I don't know what it is. Keep making these please, they are fun to watch!
Omg thank you for reacting to Bad Guy. Please react to both versions of her *YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN* vertical video, and the official Takashi animated video of YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN by Billie Eilish..
I love seeing people expanding their musical tastes. There's so much great art out there that people can enjoy, you just gotta look and be open minded. There's no reason to stick to one genre.
Thank you everyone for checking out our video. It’s kind of cool hearing somebody so unique. And her fans so far have been great and very passionate💪🤘

Those ending ads get me every time! lmao 😂y’all keep making videos I love them!
This song was soooo big in my country it went all the way up to number 9 on the charts and it was everywhere for a while.
I’m not a metal head, but I just love you guys :) Keep up the great work of just being you!
Its funny how many metal fans are like "Yep, she's an authentic musical talent" without judgement or bs. We have the best community.
Your thoughts on the songs are funny and interesting. I’m married to a metal head, but he knows not to touch the radio when Billie comes on. Also, I like that you seem to genuinely appreciate her music even if it is not what you’re normally into.
I have enjoyed watching you fall in love with Billie like the rest of us! 💚💚💚
Bellyache!!!...this one is really easy to interpret, but I love the music...different than her other songs.
What is truly unique about these siblings is that they walk around recording interesting sounds (like a dentist drill) and they incorporate it to their music.
I like it when you take control...even though you don’t own me....LOVE IT
So glad you guys reacted to this, thank you!
You popped in my recommended a few times, because I am a fan of hers. Because you guys are so nice and fellow rockers I had to subscribe to you.
💪
i love when you guys react to her 🖤 you should react to “when the party’s over”!! it’s one of my personal favorites. and then “all the good girls go to hell”
7:48 HAHAHAHA THAT REACTION!! I loved it 😂😂😂😂
When the partys over is by far the best song that finneas wrote and they played together. You HAVE to listen to it or you'll just be missing out.
Metal head here who fell down this rabbit hole and I absolutely love Billie and her brother to be honest music needed a change
just binged all your vids, subbed, some people who do react videos really irritate me but you both are very likeable.
One of my fav song..thank you so much guys for reacting 🤗😘 Soo excited to see her in Manila...sooonest
Basically it's a joke, hence the "duh" finishing up the chorus. @parkviewmo had it right as well, that it's poking fun at "tough guys". There's a video on Rolling Stones magazine's channel where Billie and her brother break down the meaning and production of the song.
They should check out that video. It's actually fascinating
Thank you for your support!
I swear, I went from listening to Black Tongue one day to Billie Eilish the next. I couldn't imagine not having her music in my life now.
Even if you don't do a video on it, you should listen to Xanny (with headphones on - trust me on this) it's probably one of my favourite songs by her - the whole point of the song was to try and make the music feel like what it's like being sober around people who have taken Xanax
Also you should listen to her performing live
Some background to Billie, she was actually homeschooled but would always participate in dance groups, choir, etc. Her parents also always had a rule at home where if Billie or Finneas were creating music they didn't have to go to bed (her parents are also actors and musicians themselves)
The guy on the left I feel can read lyrics really well!! His interpretation is pretty much spot on .
I need to know more about the girl with the purple hair man!
She was a cool enough chick
ok....when the party's over NEEDS to be next. there's no way anybody could ever leave that one out. i personally think it is her best song.
And it should be live Grammy performance, because it sounded even better than studio version. Though video is awesome too
@@helenhunt5414 it needs to be the video tho. i will never forget how bad my heart broke watching it with my teenage kids. i cried, they were both like: dad, are you ok? are you actually crying?
it's a disturbing video and the fact that it isn't CGI is blowing my mind.
Just found your channel, I totally love it. Your commentary is fantastic!!
I'd love to see you guys talking more about yourselves during a reaction, it was fun the mention to the ex that resembles billie. I'm surfing your reactions and hope to find some frow other "eras" and her new album. billie and finneas together are serious shit, incredibly intelligent and talented
I just discovered you guys and you're great.
My favorite part about Billie Eilish is that she started of as an indie artist, and has not changed her style but is now all over the pop charts
Great reaction, thanks!
Thank you!
Even as a metalhead there is absolutely no denying you haven't seen or heard this before...
I fell into this exact same rabbit hole a month ago, and haven't yet found my way out!
But! Make it a double feature. The vehicle video as well as the animated video. It would be super fun!!! Do it!!!
*vertical
Thank you for the support 🤘💪
I must say I laughed out loud at you both trying to figure out the song!
My favorite part? the "let's play rock paper scissors up high." They proceed to put the video in front of the gameplay. LOL
i love herrrrrr aaaaaa and again: u guys are really cool!
I've seen this video before and I'm slowly warming up to Billy as well.
You guys kill me , I laughed the entire damn song
"Listen before I go" ,"I love you", & "copycat" are really good ones as well
This song also from movie bright burn
Omg thank you for reacting to Bad Guy. Please react to both versions of her *YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN* vertical video, and the official Takashi animated video of YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN by Billie Eilish..
I love seeing people expanding their musical tastes. There's so much great art out there that people can enjoy, you just gotta look and be open minded. There's no reason to stick to one genre.
Please watch her Rolling Stone segment where she and Finneas break down the making of Bad Guy. Interesting.
