Elemental Hunter Bows have the potential to be some of the most powerful and versatile weapons in Horizon Forbidden West. But what makes an elemental hunter bow a GREAT hunter bow? Which elemental hunter bows are actually worth the time, effort, and resources required to upgrade them to their max levels?

It’s definitely one of the best elemental weapons. If they swapped out fire ammo for shock, it’d be unstoppable

Performance of Elemental weapons is tied to the overall elemental design, and i do not mean the specific element, how usefull it is. It´s stuff like on average, most Elemental Ammo deals 40% less damage then their impact counter part, are affected by resistances and often bei Armor too. Hence the rule of Thumb for beginners: Ele Weapons are their to trigger the elemental state. Exception are Fire and Plasma Spikes, Ele. Blastslings Bombs but only with the Residue Pool and Boltblaster pack a general punch that, for elemental damage, you can do a lot.
Chainreaction triggering is also something, which holds elemental weapon back, all ele Weapon should do it, at least with a direct hit.
Acid DOES NOT double Crit Chance. It only Deals the Weapon Category Base Crit Chance which is 5-15% and would become 10-30%:
15% Chance = Spikethrower, Blastsling, 10% = Hunter Bows, Boltblasters, Specter Gun, Shredder Gauntlet 5%= Warrior Bow, Sharpshotbow.
But you are indeed correct to choose Hunter Bow for the best Elemental Weapon List, they are insane: Advanced Ele Hunter Arrow have a Base Build Up of 50. Normalized Legendary is 6x 50 = 300 Build Up. Averade Limits to reach (on normal) Medium = 250-450, Heavy = 735 - 945. There are no Legendary Basic Elemental Arrow (i want a little Sun Scrouge) and the highest basic elemental arrow Build Up is likely the Acid Arrow on the Vanguard Hunter Bow, due it´s higher then average Overdraw value.
So how about a full Hunter Bow Loadout for the next video? Hunter Bows are versatile like that! You only miss out on Adhesive (oh the Horror) and Plasma...but you could supply these with instant coils around midgame.
Still no Video about Cluster Bombs and how to use them effectively. ;-)

What i like about the lightning bow is that you get it at the end of a quest and not by simply buying it at a vendor. Hopefully in horizon 3 more high end weapons can be earned through quests or beating machine bosses

if you like using Berserk, the Emperor's Reign is an awesome legendary bow! Can be hard to get, but if you're in your 2nd or 3rd playthrough, it's pretty fun to use!

One of the things I both love and hate about Horizon is that everything has a trade off. From armor to weapons. I legitimately like learning. Every play through I find something so obvious that helps me. I’ve never really played around with the berserker bows. I love the open world aspect and a female protagonist. For me this game has it all. Take it easy.

I wish there was a bow with just all the elementals a and another bow with normal arrow, hunter arrow and tear

Yeah that’s a good thought. It seems like they kind of push you to make a choice, so you usually have to have 1 now equipped with elemental, and another for damage/tear. There’s a couple of decent exceptions, but for the most part, there’s usually some sort of trade off
