He's looking better than he has in a very long time, I saw him at a festival about a decade ago and he could hardly perform, he looked and sounded ill. It was depressing to see quite honestly. Glad that he's pulled himself out of that

In the last clip, we saw a Manson alone at home, during his pause, alcohol but songwriting and art... In the end of the clip, Marilyn is resuecting you know in a outfit we didn't see in that clip. But now we see this outfit and I think that the normality of this clip, in a studio is just a metaphor to show that he is back to making music, back to do what he is made for ! Last clip was about his own demons and his preparation to his return and now, this song IS his return. But now, in the CD they made like one day ago (already sold out) there's another song Front Towards Ennemy and I do think it'll be the last single of his album. So one singe for the resurection, one now, for the work and the last one is a mystery ! And btw, I heard his new album will have a concept just lik before so the reasonning of just connecting the singles together isn't that dumb! I learned a while back to never go into a new Manson release with any expectations. The man is always a step ahead and onto something different. I dont expect any sort of sound from the dude, I'm just there to enjoy whatever he throws out there blindly

I agree, and I already think the last video was extremely artsy and creative, and I loved how it had so many throwbacks to different points in Manson’s life. I think it was a perfect balance to go from that to a more barebones, raw video like this that just focuses on the band and the song. I loved it.
I think the verge between Holwood and Golden age.... eras might be the perfect spot for Manson specially with a overview perspection. It's like the earlier style and the more mature musicianship as a artist with 30 -ish carrer.
White Zombie Meets Spooky kids. The Marilyn Manson BAND (and the industrial 90's) is back. I am so for it, Reba absolutely SMASHES, do not ever let any of these people go. Piggy and Reba bring the smiles and the passion while Tyler and Gil bring the solid. Gil is one of my favorite drummers ever btw.

Funny I thought that too. I remember watching that video for the first time at my friend's house and her mom almost didn't allow her to go to the concert with me sfyer seeing it. LOL That was the concert that introduced me to Manson.(in '94) I had never seen anything like it and I could not look away. I had just turned 18. Been hooked ever since!

Been a good year for old bands to return! All that Remains, Staind and now Manson probably forgetting a couple more but so far 2024 has been a blast for new music from my era back in mid 2000's

I personally was extremely impressed. The music video itself was simple, yes, but I think it says everything it needs to say. It's very reminiscent of music videos from the late 90s / early 2000s. So is his new look. I think that says a lot. I love that it showed the band... very refreshing! I thought it was wicked that there's a girl in the band, and that some of the band members had long hair and were headbanging! Heck yes! Very oldskool! As for Manson staring at the camera, I think the purpose of this is to make the liars feel uneasy... and that glare definitely does the job! The music is also awesome! I love that foreboding melody, and the gritty guitar / bass / drums combo sound so much like oldskool KoRn, which is amazing! The lyrics really moved me, too. "it's time to beat up the bullies and wash the bullseye off my back... My red flag is your white one soaked in blood" They're about making a comeback, and no longer taking people's crap... no more hiding because the bullies gonna get theirs! This is the kind of confidence I need to have, about finally getting justice for stuff people did to me and got away with for a long time. This song is my new anthem. I'm OBSESSED!! Overall, I think those lyrics, the previous songs' lyrics, his new younger look, and the comeback in general (signed to a new label, touring north america, releasing singles!), tell us that he's back in full effect, and he's not going to hide anymore, because he's got the truth on his side! I agree with everything you said, and I COULDN’T have put it better myself. One thing I don’t understand is I’ve seen a lot of people criticize the “beat up the bullies” line and say that it’s too simple and juvenile for a Manson lyric, but I think it’s perfect. I don’t know of a better way to get the point across that he was going for, and I feel like he nailed it.
I love both new songs from Manson! This one just might be my favorite of the two! It does have a classic sound to it. Manson seems to have an energy within himself that he hasn't shown in a while. I definitely can't wait to hear more!

Did anyone else hear the weird slap-back echo on the snare or is my RUclips buggered? I watched the vid twice and it was there both times. I didn't hear it on the original vid. Anyway, as far as the song is concerned "My red flag is your white one soaked in blood" is a badass line. The video was a bit spartan, but I think that was the point, seems like MM wanted to send a message with this one. Cheers!
I am not a big Marilyn Manson listener. But this song has a good sound to it, I might just buy it. My favorite line is "My red flag is your white one soaked in blood". To me, that means when everyone else is giving up, buying into the "Victim mentality", you never give up / surrender. If you want something in life, be persistent.
I think the "minimalism" in this 2nd music video is super intentional. sort of like a form of honesty, which to me is sometimes even more badass than a really theatrical or lush video.
This song definitely has the feeling that its directed towards the allegations he is dealing with so maybe that is why he wanted it to be more simple and personal as he is putting his foot down on the cancellation culture and he is ready to fight it with this comeback
I have a feeling the new album may come out on Halloween. But as for this song, I find it safe and commercializing to the masses. I like when his albums is very experimental. Like his last album and the many others from before. But I do look forward to his album coming up, happy to see him healthy, and back.
I really liked this one it isn't as good as the first one but I think it works for what it is. In my opinion it's a great song but not awesome like the first. I agree the video itself isn't as creative as Manson normally does. This is more a laid back basic video but I think it works well enough for the song. I'm getting the vibe Manson might be trying to give each song it's own flavor but with the similar theme of each song being about his personal life and things he's going through at the moment and has went through. I get the vibe each single he's going to release will each have a different flavor.

2000-2009, were revisiting these sounds because of the significance of why those sounds the way they do. The twist however is that hes grown since then so what the 'new' of this era is that growth.
Nuclear Blast WAS selling a limited number of Raise The Red Flag (Maxi Single CD) the day this dropped. It has the first 2 singles and a 3rd song on it. 3rd song is called Front Toward Enemy. But they are all sold out now. Still no word on a full album release.

The intro sounds/riff sounds like his Resident Evil soundtrack songs. Razor sharp mechanical guitars and robotic riffs. Definitely could be a song on Golden Age. Nice point about the 'hey's on the song, reminds me a bit of Doll Dagga Buzz Buzz Ziggity Zag. The video is cool, I think it's raw on purpose...it's him standing there doing his thing down the camera. No tricks, just raw emotion and his band making their statement to his enemies. There has been no album announcement yet (as of 19th August 2024). Surely it'll come in September?
Every album is a new vibe and sound and every album has always had me needing more listens to really get it. Antichrist, you expect that then you get Mechanicals, you get use to Mechanicals and then you get Holy Wood to Golden to EMDM, all very different from the last, keep going to this era you had Pale Emperor to Heaven Upside Down, very different but you adjust and love what the new sound is, then you get We Are Chaos and again its very different from what came before, when i heard the single to We Are Chaos i also wasnt expecting the next single to sound like Don't Chase the Dead or other songs on the album like Red Black and Blue. Hes an artist that definitely does what he wants to do, and one you have to give time to soak in and get whats going on. First listen, i felt the same like okay not what i expected, but iv listened multiple times by now and i know what to expect and really dig it now.
The fact the video is so basic speaks volumes for why he's turned off the comments on the actual video. This song is so personal lyrically there's no need for a video that needs to be Antichrist Superstar-esque! He's just made so personal, it's just fucking self explainitory!

I am not a big Marilyn Manson listener. But this song has a good sound to it, I might just buy it. My favorite line is "My red flag is your white one soaked in blood". To me, that means when everyone else is giving up, buying into the "Victim mentality", you never give up / surrender. If you want something in life, be persistent.
I think the "minimalism" in this 2nd music video is super intentional. sort of like a form of honesty, which to me is sometimes even more badass than a really theatrical or lush video.

This song definitely has the feeling that its directed towards the allegations he is dealing with so maybe that is why he wanted it to be more simple and personal as he is putting his foot down on the cancellation culture and he is ready to fight it with this comeback
I have a feeling the new album may come out on Halloween. But as for this song, I find it safe and commercializing to the masses. I like when his albums is very experimental. Like his last album and the many others from before. But I do look forward to his album coming up, happy to see him healthy, and back.

I really liked this one it isn't as good as the first one but I think it works for what it is. In my opinion it's a great song but not awesome like the first. I agree the video itself isn't as creative as Manson normally does. This is more a laid back basic video but I think it works well enough for the song. I'm getting the vibe Manson might be trying to give each song it's own flavor but with the similar theme of each song being about his personal life and things he's going through at the moment and has went through. I get the vibe each single he's going to release will each have a different flavor.
I actually like this song even more than the first release. I like the video too... The song is strong enough to stand on it's own without all the 'artsy' stuff. Just the band playing and rocking. Perfect!

2000-2009, were revisiting these sounds because of the significance of why those sounds the way they do. The twist however is that hes grown since then so what the 'new' of this era is that growth.
Nuclear Blast WAS selling a limited number of Raise The Red Flag (Maxi Single CD) the day this dropped. It has the first 2 singles and a 3rd song on it. 3rd song is called Front Toward Enemy. But they are all sold out now. Still no word on a full album release.

The intro sounds/riff sounds like his Resident Evil soundtrack songs. Razor sharp mechanical guitars and robotic riffs. Definitely could be a song on Golden Age. Nice point about the 'hey's on the song, reminds me a bit of Doll Dagga Buzz Buzz Ziggity Zag. The video is cool, I think it's raw on purpose...it's him standing there doing his thing down the camera. No tricks, just raw emotion and his band making their statement to his enemies. There has been no album announcement yet (as of 19th August 2024). Surely it'll come in September?

Every album is a new vibe and sound and every album has always had me needing more listens to really get it. Antichrist, you expect that then you get Mechanicals, you get use to Mechanicals and then you get Holy Wood to Golden to EMDM, all very different from the last, keep going to this era you had Pale Emperor to Heaven Upside Down, very different but you adjust and love what the new sound is, then you get We Are Chaos and again its very different from what came before, when i heard the single to We Are Chaos i also wasnt expecting the next single to sound like Don't Chase the Dead or other songs on the album like Red Black and Blue. Hes an artist that definitely does what he wants to do, and one you have to give time to soak in and get whats going on. First listen, i felt the same like okay not what i expected, but iv listened multiple times by now and i know what to expect and really dig it now.
