Great job on the explanations all along! I tried the H135 a while ago but I never knew what I was doing. With the official MSFS version and your training, it makes more sense and is a lot of fun. In VR I made some progress with the assists turned off, but I think I will follow this example and practice some basic state changes with assists for a while. Thanks!
Thank you for the easy to follow, and clear info :) certainly helps me to understand why the vehicle is acting as it does at time.. Now have to go practice making my control smoother.. :)
Awesome, thank you for this, really looking forward to more. I've flown a helicopter once IRL, I found it so much harder than small aircraft. Incredible though. MSFS is an amazing way to get a taste of it - low/no cost and no danger :)
Thankyou. Very useful. Will you do some advanced lesson to have both collective and pedals assistance removed and do the whole thing more realistic? I know the theory and I did the whole thing just basing on some practical experience but it will be useful to have your hints and suggestions.
Are you familiar with Virpil helicopter controls at all? This what I have and waiting to attempt flying from Saturday 17 December onwards - when I will get 3 weeks off work(!).
I fly RC helicopter and if you turn on the stabilisation for cyclic and tail in FS2020 feels very unrealistic. After deactivating this in the options the feeling is way better.
I put zip ties on the spring of my joystick. It's very loose, but is perfect for helicopters. Even aircraft don't hard center the way joystick manufacturers make them. The center should be very soft to make it close to real life.
No matter how gentle I use the collective, I get a loud rattle noise from the engine and the helicopter drops down, It is like impossible to get in a hover IGE or OGE.. Like she needs speed all the time otherwise the engine stops working properly...
Watch the vertical speed. Do not let it get more than -300 FPM. You are entering your own wash and quickly begin to drop like a brick. Keep some forward speed going to stay ahead of your wash as well. A 20° slope coming in to land helps a lot.
Nice Video! In our video we talked specifically about how they work and then also how to make them fly. You should make a video on the specifics of how helicopters are able to fly too!
Just practise in heli all the controls affect each other. I would suggest you to test how they do that by checking it one by one. If you add collective you need to ad also more right foot to stay straigt and train that instinct to do it without thinking about it. I also suggest watching video about helicopters on the channel "smarter every day" , it helped me see how controls affect each other. Also a great video. Have fun
Sounds familiar. I just fixed it. It's something of a bug people reported. Go to the main menu (end your flight (!)) and go to General Options, then Flight Model. Switch to Legacy and make sure you switch Global Preset to Realistic. Now start a flight and it should fly like on rails. End the flight and go to Main Menu, General Options Set Flight Model to Modern and start a flight. Now all should be well.
Le truc en prenant de la vitesse après le décollage, c'est que la vitesse arrive dans les pales du retors et comme pour un avion cela augmente la portance...par contre l'effet de sol est encore a corriger, c'est trop peu
hi hi all... wonder if anyone can point me at a good forum for heli sim enthusiast. One thats active... I'm looking at getting MSFS, busy putting together a control setup etc. G
every time when this guy says "thousand feet per second" it hurts me, because i cant take him like as instructor. First time i was thinking, that was a slip, but i am at this 4-th episode and he is still sayin that :D Looking forward when he realize that its not "per second." But otherwise his other instructor skills are nice...
Yes sorry, I obviously know it is not per second, I am at my debut as a youtuber, just want to convey information in the timeframe available... I don't even know how to edit videos... glad you appreciate the rest !
don't say sorry, I don't mind, I just thought it was really funny. And may I ask when we can expect the next lessons? If you want i can help with that somehow ;)
How am I suppose to take helicopters seriously when their cockpit isn't shaking from vibrations. Haven't the developers been in a real helicopter? Especially this small.
I understood it all. Great video. New to heli's but this vid helps.

Thanks for this great video. Now, I've got the way to land correctly.
Descending 1000 ft/sec? Dang. That's going to make a helluva crater.
Thank you for these tutorials, we all need them!
excelent video!!!!!!! thank you so much!!!!
Thank you so much for the tips! I can finaly fly helicopter now :)
thanks sir so much you are reaaly a good teacher
Nice airport, with great scenery what is the name for this airport?
I’m going to guess now that airland FS is pretty much going to be discontinued since helicopters can now be implemented properly.
it depends on the community interest...
@@airlandsim But isn’t AirlandFS sill going to be needed to fly the helicopters not native to MSFS 2020 currently using it?
Thank you for this my good sir!

This was really good! loved how you explained everything... looking forward to more helicopter videos like this!
do you have pedals too or do you control them by using the thrustmaster controller?
Thank you for this explanations.

I agree, this first video is really aimed at causal pilots, in the following videos I disable all assists...
I still don’t get it … what did you click to move forward ? (Xbox controls).
muito top parabens pelas dicas foi fudamental , so aconselho para uma pilotagem mais suave utilizar o compesador de arfagem e cabragem
Thanks!
We need an attitude hold in that helicopters. Its no fun to pres the stick forward for hours. Doing this with trimming feels weird

Still Unflyable on Xbox unfortunately

Nice plug LOL
How to stop the crazy oscillations i get with mine..
I get right to left oscillations just by pulling alil collective

@@fymeks1230 I have flown DCS helicopters no problem. I know how to fly one. There is something messing with the controls.
@@buggerall I cant thank you enough! That was the fix!
WHERE is the link for lesson number one??? What control function do you use for collective?
here's the full playlist ruclips.net/video/TK5eCt9Z_6M/видео.html

Les deus sont dans le modèle de vol de Microsoft/Asobo, je n'ai pas de manière de forçer ça...
nice...;) just hope you will return to 720p resolution...;)
its common with new videos as youtube is processing the lower resolutions faster ;) - most likely the 720p version will be available soon
@@jom1439 Yeah, I should be more patient...😇
Hey there, so what do you think of the official physics? And are you still supporting AirLandFS?
I think they are good, but some features are missing and might come in the future. If needed AirlandFS will be there to improve them...
this one was more or less easy to fly....the other heli though was very difficult
How do you move forward.. I just keep hovering.
check your controls settings, I made a video explaining how to setup controls
is this the basic version of MSFS 20
No it is a new game we are building in Unreal Engine 5
hi hi all...

G
Have you got assistance on?
yes in that video yes as it is aimed at beginners, I think I said that at the start of the video
As a vr noob, this did not teach me how to fly a helictoper.
Do not look directly into Allan.

Hard landing😂
Loved it tho🔥
The flight dynamics are so bad in flight sim, it’s not even close to flying a helicopter.
My trim weel don't work on this helicopter
Also doesnt work
Yes, resolution virtually unwatchable.
just wait a few hours , youtube is still processing the HD...
Fine for me
