GT3 is insane. The 964 is stunning but those costs are prohibitive for most people especially thinking the engines been out twice in 2 years. It'll be worth it though 👍
I used to do the machining for a Porsche specialist company in the early 2000's, besides the heads having their inherent guide and rocker wear issues, a number of cranks I couldn't grind undersize, after I magnafluxed them the cracks showed up. The new cranks were horrendously priced.
GT3 RS looks stunning, great color and spec.. 💥💥💥💥💥 Work hard, play hard.. You deserve everything you want Maybe one day I can buy a stunning car like this 👍
Woah, didn't expect that to happen with the 964, but it's in good hands with Northway. Congrats on the 992 GT3RS, its a sick car! 🥳🥳🔥🔥You've been buying some sick cars lately, your collection is becoming crazier purchase by purchase! Back to the 964, the Porsche tax is peak. 😭
Great video Raj, I really enjoyed that and great to get an insight into the inner workings of the 964 Turbo. I have to say I think that the £7k or thereabouts bill from Northway sounds to me like very good value in light of the amount of work and long term benefit to the engine and you obviously know that having that work in the car’s maintenance record (Especially with Northway on the invoices!) will only add to the value of an already blue-chip car. It’s not like you’ll ever need to worry about the car depreciating! Look forward to the next video. Oh, and if it was me? I’d get the fan painted / coated gloss black to match the exterior.
Thanks for watching and the feedback - Northway's work is second to none (they are probably one of the best in the business) and once this work is completed the car should be better than new. Good idea on painting the fan 👍🏼
@@rajsangha911 A few years ago I bought a 996 Turbo from Ray at Northway with a thick folder full of Northway invoices. When I came to sell the car it sold quickly and easily, helped greatly by the record of their attentions. They really are one of the best in the business.
Not bad really. They’re usually worn by 100k. Valve guides and exhaust valves mainly. The lower headstuds snap due to being closer to the manifolds. More heat. Dilavar studs a common upgrade. As per your lower ones. Looks like a pretty normal top end refresh. Plus the rings obviously but still classed as a top end refresh.
I only had time to watch the first half before commenting. The RS is something else. Congrats. 🙌🏻 Definitely deserved its own video mind. I look forward to a first drive video. 😎
7.5k.... Is the bill... Get it done once and get it done right by northway... Bob in the shed in Southall can do it for 2.5k...and mess up the engine rebuild and then you are back at this garage for a bill of 10k, Total bill 12.5k... 7.5k is a bargain
7.5k i mean its alot of money but if you bought a 964 for a good price then just think less than 10k you could get your engine tip top, not bad in my opinion
7.5k for an engine rebuild and sorting a bunch of issues seems like great value to be fair!
Agree, especially on an iconic car like the 964 Turbo!

I agree, it should really have been done right first time round!
The quoted cost to do the work on the (11 is actually very reasonable. Well worth the expenditure to keep an automotive icon on the road. Good call.
Totally agree, a bill of around £10-£12K seems about right considering the volume of work
Deserved 2 separate episodes.
Congrats, from one Raj to another.
Thanks for watching - another update episode will drop soon 🙌🏼
Now the engine gets the full treatment!
💯💯
Raj painful bill I could see your pain but massive respect for getting it done right
Yes, indeed the bill will be painful, however I feel this iconic car is worthy of it 👍🏽
Well done Raj on the GT3 RS. It looks magic. You worked hard for it 👍
Thank you 👍🏽

@@rajsangha911 don’t listen to those vicious rumours in Southall … lol 😂

Paul dropping some education! And can’t wait to see the Gt3 RS in its natural habitat 🐆
Paul is the Porsche Guru 🙌🏽
I am glued to this project 👀
Thanks for watching, another update out very soon
Congratulations on the RS. The turbo will be stunning. I had a broken head stud on my 964 a few years ago, heads were good though luckily!
Thank you buddy 🙌🏽
you are going to need more subs
Don't sell it after spending that much on it. Enjoy it!!! The RS looks mint👍🏽 Congratulations
Thank for watching - I would only sell the 964 3.3 Turbo to upgrade to a 3.6 Turbo.
More RS content coming soon!

@@rajsangha911 👍… bob singh aka bodger mechanic is coming to see you know lol
surely you should do forged rods and pistons if you have the engine apart and stronger studs
£7.5k for a rebuild...seems good value
Totally agree... although with a few additions the bill will probably rise about £10K
I thought he said seven hundred pound and I was like wait that can't be right had to rewind lol
Yeah opened my eyes up to classic car ownership 😢😂

I thought it was going to cost 25k for an engine teardown rebuild. 7.5k is reasonable @@rajsangha911
It's costing a little more than we initially thought - update out soon 👍🏽
Haaaai raaaab ahhh 7 and a hallffff grand 😱

How did you get an allocation for a GT3 RS?
Hard work and a fantastic relationship with Porsche Centre Reading! Will cover in a separate video
If I had enough money to buy a 964 turbo, i wouldn`t really mind the maintenance costs for this engine ...
I'm sorry the colour looks drab doesn't make it stand out 😮
Thanks for your opinion
I don’t understand why the engine necessitates a full rebuild. Fine if you have the money but did it need to be broken down so far…
Nobody cares! Another Porsche 964 on RUclips! Yawn!
So why watch and comment 🤣🤷🏻♂️
