Lyrics:
Namárië
Ai! laurië lantar lassi súrinen,
yéni únótimë ve rámar aldaron!
Yéni ve lintë yuldar avánier
mi oromardi lisse-miruvóreva
Andúnë pella, Vardo tellumar
nu luini yassen tintilar i eleni
ómaryo airetári-lírinen.
Sí man i yulma nin enquantuva?
Sí man i yulma nin enquantuva?
An sí Tintallë Varda Oiolossëo
ve fanyar máryat Elentári ortanë,
ar ilyë tier undulávë lumbulë;
ar sindanóriello caita mornië
i falmalinnar imbë met, ar hísië
untúpa Calaciryo míri oialë.
Sí vanwa ná, Rómello vanwa, Valimar!
Namárië! Nai hiruvalyë Valimar.
Nai elyë hiruva. Namárië!
English Translation
Ah! like gold fall the leaves in the wind,
long years numberless as the wings of trees!
The years have passed like swift draughts
of the sweet mead in lofty halls beyond the West,
beneath the blue vaults of Varda
wherein the stars tremble in the song of her voice, holy and queenly.
Who now shall refill the cup for me?
For now the Kindler, Varda, the Queen of the Stars,
from Mount Everwhite has uplifted her hands like clouds,
and all paths are drowned deep in shadow;
and out of a grey country darkness
lies on the foaming waves between us,
and mist covers the jewels of Calacirya for ever.
Now lost, lost to those from the East is Valimar!
Farewell! Maybe thou shalt find Valimar.
Maybe even thou shalt find it. Farewell! - Видеоклипы

I'm really looking forward to Negankerdak series compilation!
Great music and great song as always. You have never failed.
Gracias chicos, sus voces hacen justicia a la obra de nuestro padre Tolkien...
As always beautiful your songs are just amazing 😍😍
Hannon Le, Mellyn! 😊
You make with success an Epic Faerian Drama.
Tolkien, his wife Edith and their sons and Daughter thanks all of you for your hard work. 😊 I'm feel this in my heart.
I really wish the professor was still alive to hear this. Now I have to imagine him, sitting cross-legged on a bench in his tweed jacket, puffing away on his pipe, nodding appreciatively.
Indeed. Professor Tolkien would have loved this.
Don't worry: he watches over all of Middle Earth, waiting for the Dagor Dagorath to end.
I'm sure he is appreciating these works ^ _ ^
I like that this song is echoing with "the battle of Sauron and Finrod", since Galadriel was his sister. Good one as always !
I was thinking exactly this at the first line.
I just listened to that yesterday!
I forgot that Finron was her brother
Just a minor correction, the name was Finrod. :)
@@misijaaa Indeed, I don't know why I spelled it that way, correction made thank you ! ;)
got some cold shivers from that first line, remembering the duel between Sauron and Finrod
Same
Me too. I like it though.
Yeah… helps put the rest into context.
I remember
Quenya is always nice to see written and heard spoken or sang. As a Finn, it's so obvious how Finnish has influenced it. For example Lassi Surinen sounds like Finnish name, because Lassi actually is and we have multiple surnames and words with -nen suffix, which actually is diminutive form. Also many names, especially of elves and some ainur, are clearly influenced by Kalevala and Finnish, like Iluvatar - Ilmatar, Undomiel - Unto and Mieli etc.
I have forever been scared of Tolkien adaptations not meeting my unrealistic expectations of being exactly like the image in my head, but just like the Peter Jackson films and Howard Shore's music, your renditions are how I eventually end up imagining the definitive music and emotions of the characters. Thank you so much for enriching my experience.
@@Makkaru112 Thank you, I have! And also the one on "How Howard Shore Makes Us Care", both part of a fantastic LOTR series by Listening In which made me appreciate things that only my subconscious noticed.
I agree! It is beautiful.
How can one fathom the depths of loss from ones so ancient?
So much time to live with it, to feel the loss of stolen time.
There is no tongue in elvish, entish, or the tongues of men that can captivate such beauty and elegance that is Clamvi . Ty for this. My 15 month old loves your music too!
You're a wonderful parent for having your baby listen to this music
This is in Quenya though
Tolkien would be crying out of joy if he could see with how much love was this made.
Yet another musical masterpiece bringing Tolkien's unparalleled literature to life. Thank you.
Lovely rendition. It's definitely one of the most moving scenes in the books, and one that shows Galadriel's compassion. Even after such a long life, living through so much of the "long defeat", she still has genuine sympathy and respect for mortals and aids them as best she can.
Thanks for this beautiful song depicting the true world of Tolkien! "Namarië", one of the most touching words in Quenya, grave and yet sad, and so is this song, full of memories of the Noldor, remembering the times that will never return...
Beautiful!
I am loving the more complex, symphonic direction you're going, with this, and with Aragorn's coronation song.
Absolutely fitting for elves with their interweaving harmonies.
Also, the lady who sings lead in this has outdone herself, her voice sounds lovely.
Obviously she's been practicing, since her voice is getting richer; btw, when my wife first heard her in Boromir's lament, she thought at first she was a boy soprano since her tone was so clear.
Here though, she's got much more of a full sound, definitely fitting for Galadriel.
Btw, sorry for the commentary, my wife and I are both classical singers, indeed the only thing we regret is not getting the chance to sing with you! but I suspect we're on the wrong continent being in England!
In addition to evoking so much of LOTR and the many triumphs and tragedies of that setting, this also brought to mind the Battle of the Line from Babylon 5, Londo reflecting on it and the President's speech: a people going forth to fight for the survival of even just a few of their species, knowing full well they are going to die. A forlorn hope, and defiance on the face of certain death. This shows the power of music to speak to deeper, more timeless truths, even when we do not know the words.
Wow... this is so beautiful! More of elvish songs please! And thanks for this masterpiece - it's so good, it makes me feel excited and yet at the same time, a sense of forlornness and a shrouded element of adventure in the far off Blue. Absolutely brilliant! Your content never fails to miss!
I don't think anything better could have happened this year. I love this song! And I've wanted a cover for so long 😂 thank you!
that's so haunting and beautiful. You really feel the uncertainty of Galadriel about her futur.
I like it! I’ve longed for a real elvish song and now I’m happy you’ve made it! Thank you!
I'm going to college this week (A Catholic university!) I've been very nervous but your songs always make me feel so much better. Thank you!
Good luck!
You will be just fine. :)
Great stuff as ever! Thank you!
Have you considered "The Voyage of Éarendel the Evening Star" that Tolkien wrote in 1914? It's an Earendil song, but not the "usual" Earendil song:
Éarendel arose where the shadow flows
at Ocean's silent brim;
through the mouth of night as a ray of light
where the shores are sheer and dim
he launched his bark like a silver spark
from the last and lonely sand;
then on sunlit breath of day's fiery death
he sailed from Westerland.
He threaded his path o'er the aftermath
of the splendour of the Sun,
and wandered far past many a star
in his gleaming galleon.
On the gathering tide of darkness ride
the argosies of the sky,
and spangle the night with their sails of light
as the streaming star goes by.
Unheeding he dips past these twinkling ships,
by his wayward spirit whirled
on an endless quest through the darkling West
o'er the margin of the world;
and he fares in haste o'er the jewelled waste
and the dusk from whence he came
with his heart afire with bright desire
and his face in silver flame.
The Ship of the Moon from the East comes soon
from the Haven of the Sun,
whose white gates gleam in the coming beam
of the mighty silver one.
Lo! with bellying clouds as his vessel's shrouds
he weighs anchor down the dark,
and on shimmering oars leaves the blazing shores
in his argent-timbered bark.
Then Éarendel fled from that Shipman dread
beyond the dark earth's pale,
back under the rim of the Ocean dim,
and behind the world set sail;
and he heard the mirth of the folk of earth
and the falling of their tears,
as the world dropped back in a cloudy wrack
on its journey down the years.
Then he glimmering passed to the starless vast
as an isléd lamp at sea,
and beyond the ken of mortal men
set his lonely errantry,
tracking the Sun in his galleon
through the pathless firmament,
till his light grew old in abysses cold
and his eager flame was spent.
Thank you Clamavi De Profundis! Long have I waited for your interpretation of this song and let me just say that it more than exceeded my expectations. Very well done!
Wow, I am re-reading the books in their original English versions (I live in the Netherlands) and I was just reading this song in the books yesterday! So beautiful yet so sad. Thank you for making this beautiful song!
This is so hauntingly beautiful…
This is probably the most beautiful rendition of this song, actually shed a couple of tears while listening to this.
Brilliant song , absolutely haunting and sounding like an Elven lament should sound :D Thank you so much, ladies and gemtlemen :) Chapeau! 👌
I'm a huge fan of this song and I always love to see other people's interpretations. :)
Incroyable !!! Fantasmagorique !!!
Vos chansons font battre mon coeur !!!
Merci a vous
Beautiful!
There don't seem to be too many versions of this song, and this is certainly one of the best!
Another exquisite ballad in the lore of middle earth you all bring it too life in such a way that we are truly humbled thank you.
I am very impressed with this group and their music
omg yes, just today I was listening to The Battle of Sauron and Finrod Felagund and wishing there was a complete version of Namárië. It's beautiful, thank you so much!
The band Tengwar did a version over a decade ago
@@daniellandon6811 I obviously meant a longer version of the Namárië part in the battle of sauron and finrod...
@@igotnoidea2797 the only other one i know of is Finrod the Rock Opera from a Russian group. And it's pretty good as well.
@@daniellandon6811Yeah, and the 2014 (superior) version even has English subtitles for the listeners from around the world
@@FortTell out of all the Sauron actors, the 2014 version has the best. He just makes it believable
Amazing piece! Catches the ethereal aura of Galadriel perfectly!
I don't think I have ever heard anything as beautiful as this song. Thank you so much for this.
Its like every time I click on one your videos I know Im going to really enjoy it, and this was no exception. Outstanding.
Nothing beats the Tolkien Ensemble's haunting version of this song. But this is a very nice cinematic rendition.
The elegance and beauty of the Elven language and the singer's voice are a very nice combination. Well done!
I love how Tolkien has interwoven the name of Mary into his constructed words.
Very beautiful. Haunting, just as Galadriel herself. The elvish flows into song. ❤️
Very nice
OMG ❤ Ive been waiting years for your adaptation of Namarië, but it was so worth it!!!! Hope song of Eldamar comes next, or maybe hymn to Elbereth. I love elven songs!!! Thank you for all the work you do to give voice to the words of Tolkien.
Tolkien’s best Elf song done justice, amazing !!
I am honestly amazed that Tolkien create an actual language for elves, althought I don't know how complete it is, it is still impressive that he make enough words to create multiple songs.
He created the elves for the language 😊
He created enough for scholars to extrapolate the rest! So there is a complete version and a partial version.
@@samuelnicholesImpressive, Impressive, althought admittedly he crafted it through decades then it shouldn't be that surprising.
@@marcelgrabowski5939 I'd still call it both surprising and impressive; it's more than most authors will do, especially just for fun. The only way in which it's not so surprising is because he just loved language so much he couldn't help but make several of his own (btw, there are two main elven languages, similar but distinctly different; idk how complete both are though).
@@TristenSarelvun Yes, and actually keep sizable project going so many years is truly mind-blowing. There are very little ammount of people that can do that.
This is the best thing to have happened to my exam revisions, thank you!!
Beautiful! And I feel like it fits this fall season very well. Wonderful work as always! :)
My bf has been teaching me both Quenya and Sindarin and recently bought me the Silmarillion for Christmas. I literally just read "Of Beren and Lúthien" tonight. When I heard that last line (and striving, finally worked it out, lol) I was really impressed. Sauron vs Finrod? Epic! Very good! 😁❤
I’ve been waiting for when you all would do your rendition of Galadriel‘s Farewell, and am so impressed by the final composition! I am loving the Quenya songs that you have done, and would love to see a rendition of the Átaremma!
Once again... stunned by the quality of the production, talent and beauty of what you all do. Wonderfully done!
She sounds like an angel. BEAUTIFUL!!! THANK YOU CLAMAVI DE PROFUNDIS!!!
This one was so pretty it actually hurt a little
I can't wait to have this on spotify😍 a masterpiece, as always
I have been WAITING for y'all to make this one!!! It's so beautiful!
This is wonderful! Thank you all for your hard work and for sharing this with us!
I have been waiting for you guys to do this for so long I am so excited you finally did it!
I've been waiting so long for yall to do this! Astounding work!!!!!
May I say that the artwork was superlative. You all pour yourselves into each project.
Thank you.
Tis always a delight to see when y'all post!
Lady Galadriel ❤ Qué hermosa interpretación ❤
I wonder if they heard the other melodies out there for this song thst people have done over the year. Such as the harpist and singer Tolkien himself approved of. He loved all art as he felt it was the most pure form of intention put into someones work. ❤
- " It means more than simply farewell. It means : Go towards goodness. "
Elrond
Been looking forward to this one for so long ❤❤❤❤❤ my heart is so happy
Kaunista, herkkää, niin upeaa❤
One of my absolute favorites from Clamavi de Profundis! Beautiful voice, and the melody suited the words.
This is absurdly beautiful. Thank you.
Beautiful and magical..... simply beautiful..
Another stunning work! Love it! ❤😊
Absolutely beautiful !
oh ... this was intense.
thank you for this masterpiece
C'est vraiment magnifique (comme d'habitude !) 🔥🔥🔥
An eloquent consideration of the wonder and lament of life! 😄
Unexpected but not unlooked for…another masterpiece ❤❤
So beautyfull, so mournfull- one half of a broken heart longing for its other half. But with death, this ache will be forever. An incomplete heart lost without its mate
Beautiful! Followed the text from the book.
Absolutely beautiful
i just read this part and now i can appreciate it more, beautiful
You spoil us with your master work.
Amazing work.
OMG there are English captions!
That's a very beautiful song, I had long expected
Absolutely glorious
The third song. I thank the for blessing us, with the purest of heart, the one who truly binded them all. Who truly can take what is hers alone. Eternal beauty... Thank you.
Beautiful, just beautiful.
Thank you for keeping this beautiful fantasy world alive, probably the fantasy world of all fantasy worlds, with your timeless harmonic music.
Magnifique, on voyage dans les terres elfiques , et on s’incline devant la beauté et la puissance de galadriel
Well, I am excited. Like always, thank you.
Thank you for giving me chills on a beautiful fall morning..
I was waiting it for ages
God bless you all for your service and beauty that you created!
Yet another great song!
Simply gorgeous
c'est magnifique ! BRAVO !
If Tolkien lived to hear this, he would be so proud
Orthodox-like chant in the beginning sent shivers along my spine :D
Spectacular Song. I was wholeheartedly sucked in it.
THANK YOU!
Maravillosos, felicitaciones.
Very Beautifull song, small tip for the future: put the english lyrics beside the elven ones, it was very difficult to follow from the description, excellent job!!
You can turn on captions and the English is there.
Glorious
Tolkien would love to hear that melody
Beautiful and haunting!
Masterpiece ❤
Fantastic! This might be too much to ask for, but I would love it if you guys eventually tackled the Lay of Lathien. I consider it to be one of Tolkien 's most beautiful works.
