Description: Can you figure out the theme behind this video?
What gets me is the sense of entitled narcissism here...that they were so convinced of their being right, they submitted these clips to show the world.
The true April fools
It’s psychology which should be researched. Why do we get so, when behind the wheel. Autonomous vehicles will solve this. Until then we have interesting viewing.
@@simonmajura no. Just simply fools.
Too much impatient drivers..
Especially at 1:55 they didn’t even go through the roundabout correctly
It took me about 8 minutes, but i finally realised. It's April Fools day, this is a compilation of all of the fools.
Well done sir, top tier satire.
well this not the only compilation they made
yes full of "special" people
And at 173000 views its $3k for the people submitting the video.
Now I get the video cheers mate I would of still been confused 😎
Glad I only had to scroll 4 comments to find this. I was seriously ready to write a rant about how this channel had changed
I can't believe people actually submitted these videos, quite amazing really.
Whatbdo u expect from the most pathetic people on the rd
They think the world revolves around them, and their shit does not stink at all.
It just shows that they have a total lack of Any critical thinking skills and their 'self awareness' is replaced with 'narcissism' ?
"entitlement"
I bet you couldn't convince them that they caused those situations. And the ones at the end. No preparation going into the intersections.
It’s utterly depressing the amount of people who don’t understand how roundabouts work. In all of these clips the other car was already IN the roundabout first, meaning they have right of way. The audacity of these dash cam drivers to beep the horn thinking they’re in the right. These people need to hand in their licences.
So many of the regular videos display this behaviour also… maybe there should be a little icon to indicate cammer is a F&€#wit.
I’d add that so many of these drivers were literally speeding through these roundabouts without even bothering to slow down. Absolute insanity
HaHa! I always go through roundabouts slow enough to stop. Once in a roundabout had a truck on the next left entry that probably wasn't going to stop. I stopped, the nice ZZ Top looking driver, stopped abruptly, we both paused and looked at each other with a smile:- he waved me through. If he hadn't stopped, no harm done, although he seemed like the type of driver that *did* care and probably reflected on how he could have done that roundabout better :)
100%!! I usually end up reverting back to the old give way to the right only because it's what everyone else does. Little do they know, there is LITERALLY a give way sign at every round about entrance.
Apparently if you are in a roundabout and a car 80 away doing 60 approaches you are wrong to have got into the roundabout SMH
Having a dashcam apparently means there is no need to slow down at a roundabout
No you should accelerate to make sure you don't miss your opportunity to be mad at someone.
@@Jeff_P-1988 the world is fuct
and didn't maintain lane control either
I agree. There is nogive way to the right rule for roundabouts.
I agree what a bunch of self entitled camera bastards, look I got a dash cam that gives me right of way in every situation, mongrels
I love how all of the roundabout cammers have the same problems. 1. Going too fast into the roundabout. 2. Entering the roundabout AFTER the "offending" car. 3. Getting angry at how the other person is in their way 🤣
I was about to comment the same thing. You have to give way to vehicles already on the roundabout.
But then to send in the footage thinking their in the right, special kind of people!
Roundabouts are fairly new here in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I moved here from San Diego 8 years ago. Grew up in Germany with them. My son in law was at one of them waiting behind the car in front of him recently, when the guy behind him dropped his vape and crashed into him totaling his own car, my son in laws and the car in front of my son in laws. Michigan drivers are really the worst, next to Portugal, Russia and China.
Good to see you here Shaun. Glad you got your refund, though the return shipping is a joke. Anyway there's a roundabout at Kelso NSW, near Bathurst, and when I'm turning right to head home to Oberon, trucks, and other vehicles, just cut out in front of me from the left. All because you have a big arse truck doesn't mean you can just run into a roundabout and cut off car. Because I'm in a community transport car, which is marked BTW, it has given my elderly clients a bit of a fright.
Fuckwits with cameras proving that stupidity is behind the camera in most cases. The law at roundabouts is "give way to vehicles ALREADY ON THE ROUNDABOUT" not, I'm hairing in from your right too fast to stop so let me go even though I haven't even entered the roundabout. Yet they will still argue the toss instead of reading the relevant traffic regulation and correcting their awful driving. As for the guy trying to overtake the tipper and trailer as the road narrows! Words fail me as to how he can possibly think he's got it right. What a douche bag.
I'm glad you uploaded this, just because you have a dashcam doesnt mean youre always right!
Wrong answer
I've watched this compilation several times. The clip that always makes me so angry is the guy at 6:20 getting pissed off at a learner. Like how could you be this much of an arse to, not only have a go at someone just trying to learn how to drive, but send it in to DCA thinking you did nothing wrong in the process?
Christ! Some people just have such a blinded ego about themselves
I've sometimes been stuck behind a learner and while it can be annoying, I always remember that I was at that stage once. Last thing learners need is some tard honking at them and giving them pressure. Although that in of itself can be a potential learning experience to stay cool as a cucumber when someone behind you is raging at you.
There was a broken dividing line too, they could've just overtaken on the opposite lane with no issue
Yeah that one was hard to watch, wide open corner. Can easily see well up the road so literally no excuses to be agro at all. Like, what?
The learner was obviously practicing how to do a parallel park. May have not been the best spot, but have some patience or overtake.
tbh cammer probably didn't see the L plate in the window on an angle. easier to sight if it was next to the number plate. But yeah honking immediately is a pretty dick move
The first one genuinely upsets me…I’ve had a car road rage and turn around to chase me before. The fact that the person thinks this was okay and submitted it is gross.
Agree. It’s threatening behaviour and could easily cause an accident if the innocent party panics. and you have my sympathy .
sometimes you gotta ask what made that person react like that . there is crazy people out there , always has been always will be. we gottta do everything we can to avoid these people .
@@AJ-zv9tn no reason for that person to react like that
maybe dont be a bad driver
@@australianpride2164 first of all I had just gotten on my red P’s..I wasn’t at fault either. I had entered an intersection because I had the green light and the other guy came from the opposite direction through a red light but got angry at me? Then proceeded to turn around and tail gate me. I’m sorry but even if it was my fault there is no excuse for behaviour like that.
Entering a roundabout at speed and expecting others to have x-ray eyes is probably an indication of the cammers IQ.
Or worse getting upset with people that entered the roundabout before them.
I am currently writing to NavMan, Satnav, Google, TomTom etc and recommending changes to their directions;
From: In 100 metres at the Roundabout, take the second exit
To: In 100 metres at the F**king Idiot, take the second exit
Where, of course, F**king Idiot can have two meanings - either the dashcam vehicle or the other vehicle
"Oh nahhhhh give way to the right, ay?"
Idiots.
Some people approach roundabouts so fast the rest of us would need over-the-horizon radar to detect them in time to avoid getting sworn at.
Whoever enters a roundabout first - has right of way. Most roundabouts have give ways at *all* entrances. You do not need to give way to your right.
This made me rage more than the normal crash compilations! So many absolutely entitled wankers, who all seem to have a theme of SPEEDING UP TO SHOW HOW ANGRY I AM, then yelling at the other person who’s gap as miraculously vanished!
So now not is it OK keep right instead of left unless overtaking but now it's OK to cos painted islands to road rage people who supposedly turn in front of you with what w really plenty of room 🤔
@@darylC_2306tiger1 Do you want to try writing that again in a way we can understand?
@@darylC_2306tiger1 whatever you just said gave me a stroke
Yes, normally I can accept that many in the previous videos there is a possibility of forgiveness to them but, *NOT* a single one of these clips I felt that they could be forgiven... NOT a one.
Made me more angry at the cammers instead of the other drivers too.
These Aussies on roundabouts: "I drive really fast so I have right of way!" How can anyone predict traffic with that speed?
Same mentality as the outside lane on motorways etc, they think because they're speeding they get to tailgate anyone actually doing the speed limit using it to pass slower traffic. Not talking about right lane hoggers here ofcourse, they suck too.
April fools: on the road edition! These are the fools you normally see but from the fools perspective - what an insight!
Exactly!
Literally this is the wrong reason to have a dash cam!! Even if it is April Fools just shows a bunch of aggressive idiots
HAH! Hadn't caught the April Fools connection! Well played, well played!
All makes sense now lol
And they all completely lack self awareness, who would have thought
This is some of the worst driving I’ve seen and it is mostly the dash cameras themselves that are in the wrong, why are so many speeding when entering roundabouts and also trying to turn corners beside trucks? The stupidity is unreal.
That's why this is a ”special” edition 😀
its the April Fools episode
..and driving into other people's lanes and getting honked at, then honking back and cussing the other drivers? LOL
Yeah mate, it’s clearly say that do not fucking overtake the turning vehicle
@@alexashton6501 I would like to see more of it, just 1 clip per day and we can roast the fk outta the DC driver, lol.
Great April fools video. This was the "The dashcam driver is the idiot edition"
We've all made mistakes / been impatient at one time or another but the stupid ones send the clip in thinking they are in the right.
The first clip is disturbing and shouldn't ever have a licence again .
90% of these DC owners should never have a licence.

Hate to say it but a majority of the vids sent in are dash cammers who are are impatient and don't know what defensive driving means. Not all ofcourse.
5:47 - The dashcam driver is already beeping the horn before they have even entered the roundabout. Other vehicle is already on the roundabout at 5:51 - 5:52. Unbelievable! What are these people thinking when they send these clips in. Not to mention the dash cam driver didn't even use the roundabout correctly. Maybe if they did they wouldn't have such an issue.
The dashcam driver was 100% in the wrong. The truck was already in the roundabout and therefor had right of way. The dashcam driver needs to go back and ready the learners training manual.
10:12 drivers who see a pedestrian ahead and speed up are the most dangerous, power tripping, knuckle dragging fkwits in existence. Deliberately speeding up to scare a pedestrian/cyclist should be an immediate loss of licence in every circumstance.
That dude should lose his license for that music
AGREE TOTALLY!!
We had a dude in Adelaide convicted of deliberately knocking people off their bikes, and it was even recorded on a GoPro and put on the News, and he got away with it. The Law really isn't the Law, is it?
I thought the rule of thumb when we got our license is, give way to pedestrian. Even Pedestrian crossing.
@@lordieshepherd lol. you can assault people from your vehicle and get away with it, but chase the two guys that stole your vehicle and they kill themselves trying to get away from you? jail time for you.

Holy fk, that last one was insane. How does one have so little self-awareness that not only do you drive so dangerously, you blame the person you almost smashed into
They deserve prison for that horn honk though, what the fuck was that
That Roundabout is notorious for drivers like that as the express way goes through it and people do not like slowing down
And rip the hell out of your own wheels in the process
@@Starcream The straight through lanes are to the far left though. If the driver's gone into those two lanes, his intention is to turn towards the convention centre - so he was always going to have to slow down.
What about that clown 4 wheel drive owner, forcing his way past the truck, who gave ample indication time of their intention to change lame?
🤬🤬🤬
people speeding to enter a roundabout just to beep at someone who is already in the roundabout I swear
And not realising that the vehicle within the roundabout has the right of way. The giveaway to the right rule does not strictly apply to roundabout operation. Totally agree with your observation. Cheers to you
No, mostly _they_ swore!
I call today the Self-Incriminating-Video Day!
@@lapindog
It doesn't actually even exist... The ONLY give way rule for roundabouts is to give way to vehicles already on the roundabout.
I think it should be changed though since most people give way to the right anyway.
Roundabouts are becoming increasingly non-functional due to the entry speed people are taking them these days.
Its really sad because they are all getting ripped up and replaced with lights as a result, even though they are far more efficient than lights (provided the drivers are all half decent).
The whole objective of a roundabout is to maintain the flow of traffic safely and slowly
Most drivers in this country wouldn’t last 2 min in Europe as they know how to use a roundabout
Unfortunately here most drives believe they have right of way at all cost very safe
However it is not all their fault as we don’t people to drive in Australia
We teach them how to past the driving test !
8:18 And that, my friends, is why we say "DO NOT OVERTAKE TURNING VEHICLE". You know, the thing on the back of literally every truck.
In the very few clips where the DC driver wasn’t at fault, their reaction was pure road rage. To think they are so arrogant in their self righteousness that they submit the clip as “other drivers doing wrong”. These are the true menaces on the roads!
Agreed
the first one was a very good example of that.
I missed it at first but it is the 1st of April ;-)
@@moocher9935 Yeah, everyone knows that but you.

Look I noticed most of the dash cammers were speeding and like I occasionally do as well I admit to it but im glad im not like these drivers
Looks like none of these idiot should have a licence. Very sad that in this country we are taught how to get a licence and not how to drive....
My teeth were literally grinding while watching this. These drivers behind the cams are the reason why I have anxiety and hesitation on the road
@@tatianaperkins3675 You’re someone who understands, how I feel. 100% relatable!
Honestly, I would have been too embarrassed to submit most of these. Never in my life have I found myself screaming at a screen more! Since when do you not have to slow down approaching a roundabout? Most of the cars on the receiving end of abuse were already IN the roundabout when you went sailing through!!!
Which means of course that they have right-of-way.
Exactly! I've been hit in a roundabout by a woman who didn't even slow on my left. Her insurance paid for my considerable damage but it was terribly inconvenient.
dont watch US dash cam videos then. If you think these are bad you should see what the yanks do on their roads.
@@olsmokey - Incorrect. The rule is that the first vehicle to enter the roundabout has right of way, which usually means give way to the right, but if it's a high speed limit road (or you're just speeding) then it can mean that a person entering from your left was in before you and has right of way over you. I honestly feel like there should be mandatory written and driving tests every five or ten years in order to renew your licence.
My observation also. Big Yield sign they all ignored as they plow through.
So many people think they’re the protagonists. The guy tailgating saying “I’ve got you on camera”. Mate are you talking to yourself?
So we're just going to ignore that this guy went into oncoming lanes and called the driver he almost hit head on a "fucking idiot"? 7:53
He was talking about himself obviously.
That one’s a real head scratcher.
pretty sure he was trying to prove a point about how that car cut the corner by threating a head on.
@@Goryrat can't even spot that but good eye, but he's a real bright spark getting his point across by potentially almost killing themselves & the other driver. What a hero
That's the one that baffled me the most. Many of the others you could kinda see the cam owner thinking they're right because they misunderstood the rules, but that guy crossed over double-unbrokens and nearly had a head on, then called the other guy a dickhead, and THEN he submitted a clip to DCOA!!!!!
It shouldn't amaze me but it does... it's amazing how many of these cammers submitted these clips thinking THEY were the ones hard done by.
I just see a bunch of videos with inconsiderate wankers who don't know the road rules. So many of those roundabouts show the other car/truck ALREADY in the roundabout, so they have right-of-way!. Don't get angry. Road rage is a bad thing.
7:54 This one absolutely baffles me, how someone can think they did nothing wrong and share this video
Yeah, POS just playing with someone’s life because of some petty desire for revenge. Then, after having a chance to think about it all, they literally send it in to this channel. Wtf.
the cammer is over the line by quite a way and calls the other driver a 'f*cking idiot' like come on. surely he re-watched the video before submitting
@@ollys1012 I think he wanted to tell the other driver off because they slightly went over the line on the previous corner a couple seconds before
DCA is on Facebook should explain it.
What an idiot that driver was, driving in his own lane like you're supposed to like that. Tss
Just for those who are unaware of the rules......when you enter a roundabout you have to give way to everyone who is already on the roundabout despite your approaching speed and direction. This includes vehicles on the left that enter BEFORE you!
The occupants of the car at 1:33 definitely peaked in year 9 when they made their math teacher cry.

Imagine 🤔
I was behind a truck in rural NSW once that had a (carefully rearranged) sticker that read,
"DO NOT TAKE OVERTURNING VEHICLE".
It took a few minutes to sink in 💡
I think that is the idea of a driving test, to ensure that you are able to see the problem then work a solution otherwise we may as well have a sign on the inside of a vehice reminding us to inhale after exhaling.
They do have signs on the back saying " DO NOT OVERTAKE A TURNING VEHICLE"!!!!!!!
Same for busses when they are pulling out of stops.
How embarrassing to end up in this compilation 😂
Gotta love the world’s worst horn at 11:14 🤣
It's so 'cute' isn't it? Unlike her driving...
7:44 100% wanted to hit that car. If your reaction times are that slow, you shouldn't be on the road. Unfortunately, if the person uses that footage in court, they'll clearly see they were speeding up in a parking area that usually has a speed limit of 10km/h
Yeah it's amazing, isn't it? " I had the right of way". Is it worth it to be without your car for 8 weeks or whatever while it gets repaired?
Agreed, just proves how entitled the dash cam driver must be to intently follow through with a collision to prove a point.
Insurance scam perhaps? Saw a lot of this in China when i worked there.
Omg that one shit me. Heaps of time to stop vs swerving and hitting anyway. Hmmm....

Pause at 5:25. The truck legally enters the roundabout with the filming car multiple car lengths away from the roundabout entrance. The filming car then enters illegally, and beeps the truck.
I see this all the time. People treat roundabouts as if they are a regular intersection and they, magically, have right of way every time.

Cannot stand people who beep learners. Granted it probably wasn’t the best spot for the instructor to have them pull over (assuming they were going to try reverse parallel park) but just chill, give them space and allow everyone to learn. What example are you showing to your kids in the car?
I'm fairly vocal (Inside my car) about people who I deem to be driving incorrectly but learners get lots of extra consideration from me as I know how hard it was.
Yeah that particular clip made me furious. It’s the equivalent of beeping an elderly person for taking too long to cross the street. People are so strung out these days, it’s absolutely mind-boggling.
This is a well known learner spot/test route here. Usually instructors will take you on one of the quieter side roads, but this is a main road with a bit of traffic. I don’t blame the learner at all, they did really well to pull over quickly and safely.
Ive seen lines of cars patiently waiting for a learner to parallel park on a busy road. No one gets wound up over it. In defence of that cammer I did think that beep was more of a "waiting for you to decide your move" than anything else. It was a bit of a silly spot to try to parallel park and the cammer had already basically blocked that, which again I think was accidental because the L plate was a bit obscured by the tinted window.
They all seem to forget they were learners once too - they didn't magically emerge from the womb fully formed with an open license.
Imagine being proud that you've submitted to DCOA then finding your clip on here looking like a knob
Sadly, despite reading all the comments here, they will still think that they are right.
They will just tell us all to “do our own research” and that they were in the right lol.

7:45 Irrespective of who's "in the right", the camera could easily have avoided that collision if he/she wanted to.
Yeah that was crazy. It seemed like the DC driver hit the other car just to prove a point. What an idiot!

Cammer is a muppet for not realising it but if old mate in the truck needed both lanes he should have been straddling them earlier in the intersection.
Once again at 8:30 a car fails to observe that a truck needs and has the right to use two lanes when turning. The signs on trucks “ Don’t over take Turning Vehicle “ are actually a law not just a recommendation.

Wow - the unwavering certainty of these dashcammers that they are doing the right thing. Not even a moment's pause to reflect upon what has happened. This explains a lot.
I will keep this in mind when driving: that all the bad drivers around me aren't simply making mistakes, they're just total arse-holes...
You can usually tell the clueless from the douche bags from just observing them for a few hundred meters or so.
Could the theme be people who suffer inferiority complexes perhaps?
Definitely some sort of size issue going on .
They're not suffering anything, but everyone around them is.
6:19 That they would toot an L Plater like that so soon before even coming to a stop says a lot about their demeanor and personality. Geez. I'd probably eventually give them a toot as well but at least give them a good 5 seconds after you stop to see wtf is happening first 🙄 I think the L plate does give them a bit more leeway and imo the annoyance goes to their instructor not the driver.
The L plater was doing a parallel park hence why his reverse lights were on and the left indicator was flicking, but on a busy road such as that probably not a good idea. Too much traffic and EVERYBODY in Australia never goes the speed limit
100% my favorite ones when the video submitter is in the wrong.

Monthly "DC Owner in the wrong" to go with the regular content? 😍
If you want more there is a channel called "dashcam lessons" (usa one) where about 80% of the dashcam drivers are in the wrong and they post that weekly. i.e. The speed up to block, blasting, shooting at each other through the windshield if you're lucky
There are so many examples of people going out of their way to get in accidents here. I bet they're all Clive Palmer voters too.

This video was just a reminder of what a DH and AH I must have looked like from the perspective of other people. I'm sorry.
Age brings perspective. I find myself thinking the same way. Especially when I read my old Facebook posts 😂

LOL Imagine being in the passenger seat with these tools. You'd need heart surgery.
I would be cussing them out! :)
1:32 I dunno, the passengers seem to be just as bad.
One of the passengers actually said "Please slow down, go AROUND the roundabout". The driver said "Sorry" (I assume it was his mother), then promptly blew through the next roundabout on the racing line

"When you approach a roundabout, you must slow down or stop to give way to all vehicles already in the roundabout." - Ancient writing lost to time
What an amazing compilation. Can't add anything to the deservedly scathing comments from others. Special prize to the camper at 8:00 who accelerated towards a pedestrian just to teach him a lesson. Seriously, the video would be good for extra gaol time if he had got him.
Were you talking about 10:10? The driver at 8:00 clearly didn't see the cyclist.
Why is the text "who accelerated towards" highlighted?
Same with the guy who speeds up to overtake the struck who you could clearly see he was undercating to merge them runs himself off the rd
@@rexsong4835 Are you referring to the driver that was almost stationary and behind the stop line when the light went orange who then accelerated and almost hit the cyclist?
Imagine honking at a L-Plater trying to reverse parallel park, yeah mate you got flipped off for a good reason.
It was obvious that they were trying to parallel park, but I kinda get why the cammer would be annoyed here. I know this road, its near where I live in NZ, and its not a road to teach someone to parallel park on. There's often heavy trucks and a bit of traffic going along it, however there are many streets along this one that would be great for it. I learnt to drive literally 2 minutes away from where this happened, they shouldnt have been trying this here
Funnily enough most incidents involving roundabouts could be solved if people didn't go full speed expecting people to move out of their way
Yeah, I think it's a mistake to give roundabouts entrances that are so widely flared that idiots can speed right through.
Saw a post on Reddit a few weeks ago where someone failed to give way which resulted in a collision. The at-fault driver's alleged comment was literally "I thought you'd stop for me"... These are so many of these types of idiots we have to contend with on the road:
- Incompetent
- Reckless and/or dangerous
- Entitled
- Negligent
It's getting to the point where dash cams are almost mandatory. Nobody will ever tell insurance or the police the truth if they think they can get away with it (and often, they do). A dash cam doesn't lie.

5:36 - In my opinion, you should never run a yellow light on a corner with hook turns, for this exact reason. However, I can sympathize with people from other states etc, who find hook turns weird, but it actually improves the flow of traffic, and helps trams get to where they're going on time. In this instance, the black SUV was in the wrong, as the sign above was telling him/her to wait, but still, I reckon it's always best to play it safe.
You should never run a yellow light when it is safe to stop - at any lights. Also, this light was red before his/her front wheel crossed the line, so had it been a red light camera, he/she would have been fined and lost points for that
I'm not sure which one you're referring to because I'm not going to watch it again, sorry. I'm definitely from a different part of Australia because I have no idea what the term hook turn is XD
I'm not from Melbourne but it took me about 30 seconds to get the hang of hook turns the first time I drove in the Melbourne CBD. They're not hard.
@@goaway2803 that's why i added a time stamp- 5 mins, 36 seconds. In blue. At the start.

5:24 Imagine being here and thinking that you have right of way before the truck, slow down at roundabouts people lol
2:44 cammer started being in the wrong by illegally cutting through a service station to get around the lights (lesser known rule to drivers I think) but holy shit the road rage that followed was so over the top as a reaction (and much more illegal).
Cam driver should've run him over. Otherwise nothing's stopping them getting back in and chasing him, like in the first clip.
I think there is more story to this and that the cammer was trying to keep moving and not get trapped by the ragers. You can see as the DCer approaches the lights there is only one car stopped, but as they go through the lights there is a second one at the line inching forwards.
@@TheOneWhoMightBe Fair, it does seem reasonable to assume the rage chase started from something else earlier, not that there is ever a reasonable excuse for it.

it's insane how people don't slow down in this clip when entering the roundabouts, like i see it ALL THE TIME where i live, and it just became a force of habit that I always slow down regardless of whether there's cars on the right or not. is it the whole "i'm too good, a car accident won't happen to me" kind of thinking that gets these people their licences? because holy shit. this genuinely made my blood pressure rise so much more than other compilations!
Some of these drivers are going to have an interesting time if they are planning on using their dashcam footage as evidence in the event of an insurance or police incident.

I love how the idiot entering the roundabout just before the 2 minute mark forgets that the other car is on the roundabout before him. He’s required to give way to vehicles already on the roundabout, so why beep at someone you’ve failed to give way to
The only thing about roundabouts they can remember from their driving lessons way back when is "give way to right".
@@aaronleverton4221 It is give way to traffic already on the roundabout, the problem with 'give way to right' is they aim at a car already on the roundabout then claim to be traffic from the right, bad drivers.

This is an April Fools special where every submitted video thinks they're in the right lol
I got caught out on this during my driving test many years ago, my driving instructor literally taught the "give way to the right" rule for roundabouts.
It wasn't until after I took my written test that I found out that wasn't the case, and even then I brought it up with him afterwards and he had the audacity to tell me "no you only have to give way to the right, they're wrong".
A lot of my friends got the same idea from their driving instructors too, so not surprised there's so many muppets out there who have it wrong.
How do u think a roundabout works now ?
@@jackrog779 you give way to any vehicle already on the roundabout regardless of where they entered, if they are on it before you, you give way.
@@DryftKult Which is in effect giving way to the right, since when you enter a roundabout all vehicles will be coming from your right.
@@Matt_Alaric Wrong. When you enter a roundabout there will also be vehicles coming from your left. If they are in the roundabout first they have priority over you.
The give way to your right in roundabouts, as well as any situation where you are pulling out onto a road, is a safety mechanism.
When entering a roundabout, even if you have gotten there first, you should always give way to the idiot coming in from your right. If no idiot is present to your right, you'll be safe to enter first, as the rule implies.
Being first in, and being right, could end in a T-bone. Even though these speeding idiots are in the wrong, you can't legislate for stupid. Not worth it.

That Wollongong Hospital one where the guy turned into 7-Eleven to avoid a red light... 🤣 Not sure what either of those cars were really trying to accomplish!
Today I learned that 4WD vehicle ownership relinquishes all responsibility to give way and drive the speed limit.
What's even more ironic is that 4WDs are generally poor handling and underperforming road bricks yet the drivers seem to "take notes" (written in crayon) from Peter Brock and Initial D, how they can have so much confidence flinging a 3.5t boat on stilts around at 100km/h is both incredibly baffling and incredibly stupid
I agree with everyone here, just wait for any of these cammers to see this and try to defend themselfs still thinking they are in the right, we certainly have some special people on our roads
All these videos are evidence that it's way too easy to get and keep a drivers licence in this country.
10:13 the cammer is speeding, doing 65 kph in a 50 kph zone on York St in Inglewood WA, heading SW having just passed the intersection with Stuart St. And the cammer decides its a good idea to send the video of their traffic infringement to Dash Cam Owners Australia because a pedestrian walked in front of their speeding car?!?!
The thing is, give way to the right at a roundabout only comes into effect if the car has already entered the roundabout.
If the car in front entering from the left is inside the round about then you, coming from their right but not having actually entered the roundabout must give way.
The rule is not "give way to the right". The rule is, when entering a roundabout, you must give way to ANY vehicle already on the roundabout. Yes, most will be on your right but as we see from these clips, they could also be straight ahead or on your left.
@@AnotherDoug I mean, we’re both correct

The funniest part is it's even written on the back of the bus that the cammer nearly hit
If only there was a giant sign on the back of the bus elucidating that exact road rule...
Actually in this case the BUS was in the wrong, They are allowed to pull out into the left lane, not across the left lane and into the right.

Giving way to buses
(1) A driver driving on a length of road in a built-up area where the speed limit applying to the driver is not more than 70km/h, in the left lane or left line of traffic, or in a bicycle lane on the far left side of the road, must give way to a bus in front of the driver if-
(a) the bus has stopped, or is moving slowly, at the far left side of the road or in a bus-stop bay; and
(b) the bus displays a give way to buses sign and the right direction indicator lights of the bus are operating; and
(c) the bus is about to enter or proceed in the lane or line of traffic in which the driver is driving.
Maximum penalty-20 penalty units.
(2) In this section-
left lane, of a road, means-
(a) the marked lane nearest to the far left side of the road (the first lane) or, if the first lane is a bicycle lane, the marked lane next to the first lane; or
(b) if there is an obstruction in the first lane (for example, a parked car or roadworks) and the first lane is not a bicycle lane-the marked lane next to the first lane.
left line of traffic, for a road, means the line of traffic nearest to the far left side of the road.
@@fknid EXactly, thanks for proving my point. I was too lazy to link the law myself. No the left lane was not blocked.

Yeah she got what she deserved there!
Yeah the DC should have backed off. It's poorly signed that it's a merge though; I wonder if the DC knew - the truck likely obstructing the sign on her left. Perhaps more distance from the vehicle in the front would have given her more oversight of what's happening ahead.
Yep, a zip lane (as in a zipper), and there is no left lane ends merge right signs. Common in the ACT, but NSW struggle with the concept.
Usually there’s a “form one lane” sign

The cammers in this video don't know the roundabout rules. The roundabout road rule is to give way to those on the roundabout. It's not give way to the right. That means that the person who enters the roundabout first has right of way, regardless of which where they are positioned.
