On RUclips kids there’s also an option that you can approved certain channels only. That way you don’t have to go through and block everything individually
Where is that option? I can’t find it
@@tingle-tainmentasmr2404 you have to link it to your email then you go on the youtube kids app and hit the kids profile and hit settings. Once you hit settings you want to click on the kids account again in settings and you enter your password and you hit the content settings and set it for approval only. Once you do that you can go back on the profile the same way through settings but now after you enter your password it’ll say add or remove content. When you’re adding just make sure you add each show individually because if you add an entire account sometimes they’ll have shows that you may not want to necessarily have on there for them.

one of the best FREE educational apps i have found for my kids is Khan Academy Kids. It has so many games and things to do according to their age. And it has a library of games that do not need wifi in order to play so there is always something for them to play

You can block out apps with the screen time feature on iPads, so if you wanted to block the Paramount or Apple TV apps, you can use the screen time feature to make them passcode locked. I've not used it a lot, but it works!
On RUclips kids you can go into settings and make it where she can only see approved videos. That’s what I have done for my son
Kayla you can choose content on RUclips kids. Or select a certain age and also you can turn off the search
I also have that otterbox easygrab case on my daughter’s iPad 9. It has withstood the test. And I truly mean like bouncing off concrete being thrown across the room all the things lol
I didn’t know I could block things on RUclips kids!!! So thank you for that. My son will be 3 in March and he does use his iPad a lot cuz I work from home 8-4 which sucks but I have noticed how much it’s helped him with his speech 😵 I couldn’t believe it. And something so simple you said, is delete apps 😂😂 I was starting to worry how I would cut him off Netflix specifically and if now decided once he’s able to speak in 2-3 full sentences I’ll DELETE it off his iPad. He will probably ask for these shows but I’ll just put it on the tv. Cuz yeah once he reaches like Riley’s age there are definitely things I won’t want in his iPad that he may have access to now. Hi Kayla, wondering if you had to teach the kids how to play these games? Or did you just hand them the iPad and let them explore?
Definitely I use it when I go on long trips I use it when I have to meet with other parents and I want my child to stay still I use it when I go to my doctor appointments I get the music as well I wonder at home I only let the music for about an hour and a half as well but I never let them put it really close to their face and yeah it’s nothing bad about the kids using tablets as long as it’s not you know a lot of hours on it
Hi Kayla u should download a number. Colour apps while learning or practicing ur number. My daughter had most of apps now 8 years old

I found youtube kids awhile back but i didn't know you could block videos or whole channels. Thank you for that, there are some videos that I don't necessarily want my son to watch. I am going to try out Yippie for his tablet though.
Have you heard of Boddle? It's a free math app for younger kids. My son loves it.
I have played Toca life world and I can assure you that it doesn’t have chatting ability but you can recorded videos and save them to the camera ❤

Can you do a “What’s on my iPhone”
Because of seeing it on this video, I started using Bimi Boo Academy to work on moter skills. I am blind and autistic and I love that game. It's one of my favorites. The games I like on it are the shape games and the puzzles. They are way better than the ABC mouse ones because they make more noise to tell you if it's right or wrong. The Bimi academy is great because it has so many games to choose from and most of them are different. The voices don't sound as annoying as other apps and don't hurt my ears as mutch as other apps accept for one character that sounds nazelly and I can't stand. It's the dude that teaches about community helpers.
The paramount apps have like a function where it is younger kids I did it for my niece and she can only watch certain shows and movies

Omg thanks for sharing yippee we love Danny go ! Blippi has never been allowed for my toddler I’m not saying he’s bad but something about him creeps me out 😅 I think the fake voice makes my skin crawl not in an annoying way but a creepy way 🥴
We use some of these. We also use Khan Academy (which is free and has Spanish on it as well), and Noggin (which is not free, but she loves). As well as ABC Mouse. I'm on the verge of taking RUclips Kids away because I've had to block a lot on there.

iPads were not around when I was raising my daughter. She's 36 now, but it's interesting that she's not quite so addicted to her iPhone as many other people of her age are. I think that's just her personality. It sounds like you're making some good recommendations Kayla.
I let my daughter watch Disney+ for now but I was looking for something to replace Netflix RUclips and Disney altogether. Although I mostly like Disney, there’s just no distinction between kids shows and adult shows so sometimes I’ll look up and she’s watching marvel. I don’t like RUclips kids. I almost feel like it’s worse than when I would just let her watch RUclips on my phone. At least then if I type in little mermaid, that’s what would be suggested. But on RUclips kids, I see her watching all these videos with unboxing and brothers and sisters arguing. It’s stuff that doesn’t seem helpful at all so I took it off her iPad. Thank you for this!

Tommy watches Ryan toy review on RUclips on his tablet I monitor everything he watches.hes almost six years old he will be on February 25th I have a question on RUclips kids I have seen that on never went on do you have to pay for that all to let your kids watch it just was wondering about that .I wanted to get tommy a I pad but the only ones that they had at the store was ones you have to get through Amazon and have a account with them and I didn't want to so I just bought a used tablet made sure it has only stuff that's good nothing bad . your so right we as parents have to be very careful what are kids watch and that they don't see something that's not appropriate at all . I went to a local electronic store that sells used electronics and I bought a $60, very old iPad for my toddlers. It is in great condition and works perfectly. I ordered a case from eBay.

THanks for the recommandations - personally i would never download the christian apps. For me thoese are the most extreme for me. In Denmark we are fortunate with good quality public service kids shows. But really cool apps - especially the toca ones! thnx
