The part of the video where you explain about the timing and how many sensei will give a raft of counter measures and how that is BS is refreshing to me. If I am being assaulted and I am simply aiming to defend myself, I really don't want to have a lay out a flurry of different moves. I cannot remember all of that. I need simplicity. What a relief that you called out this BS.

You nailed it in that explanation. I learned Karate and Wing Chun when I was younger, but since I'm smaller I incorporate Wing Chun for close range and boxing with Muay Thai for medium to long range and wrestling for grappling range. The secret is to be able to combine everything and stay in shape.

One (of the many) good things my mauy thai coach does is incorporate a lot of clinch into our mauy thai training. The mauy thai clinch position is an art within an art, and its very effective but takes some time to get comfortable with.

The best thing I heard was to move, counter if you can, separate, and get the Hell out of Dodge!!

I am very bad at boxing, but very good at wrestling. Anyways I am absolute amateur. How about make a video for people like me? I'm very thankful for your lessons.

You should definitely go to a gym if u can if not search up boxing tutorials getting the boxing form down properly etc but u should highly go to a gym for that imo

@@R3strict man, I'm fit and quick. I am exercising at home with my bodyweight. I don't like a gym because of people with phones ect. And I'm an introvert. I am trying to learn self-defence from Kevin. Because as we say in Poland: "gratis to uczciwa cena". Anyways, thanks for suggestions 🙂
