  • It took me a lot of time to work on this cover.
A wonderful song with incredible use of Ondes Martenot singing. I don't know how Jonny came up with this final melody, but I had to use three layers of Ondes to get something even remotely similar.
Thom's guitar part is simple and complex at the same time, a great addition to the wall of sound at the end.
    Thank you for watching!
    Kid A soon ...

Thanks for the comment! Yes, the controller is based on Arduino Leonardo, the ring changes the resistance value of the rotary potentiometer, changing PitchBend, creating a rubato effect

REALLY cool and accurate cover, only thing id say tho is the guitar part at 2:10 should have a bit of drive, to give it the unique sound johnny has, but overall insane cover!

incredible work on this cover, must've gone crazy to work out the ondes line(s) at the final section.
since i saw the nude cover around a day ago my interest's peaked at the DIY ondes martenot and i'd love to see any kind of documentation on how to construct one, i've read a reply to a different comment on this video saying what kind of arduino it is and what it does in terms, of what i think i understood is, MIDI. Was it all worked out via documenting yourself on various different sources and figuring out how to make every element work or did you find a single source that let you understand the whole process of making one? if it's the latter, could you share that source? if not, would you be willing to make some kind of tutorial or at least explain the main steps on how to make it?
i'd understand if you say "i wanna focus on covers and there isn't enough request for me to put away the things i wanna work on to show very few people that would make any use of this information how to make this very nieche instrument" so, no pressure.
I wish you a succesful journey across the youtubes cause, really unfortunately, you are a fairly small channel so far and i think more people need to see and appreciate efforts like these.

Thank you for such kind words!
I took all the information on this site gam.boo.jp/blog/archives/2012/07/midi.html, the main moves and nuances are described there. I’m unlikely to make conversational/tutorial videos, but if you have any questions, you can write to me by email (in contacts on the channel), I’ll be happy to help.
