    I have a 2015 LaCrosse. My first Buick in many years. I love the car. It rides and handles better than I had expected. The car is quiet and fuel efficient. The only problem I have had is the Goodyear tires. They had to be replaced @ 5k because they could not be balanced. GM made me jump through hoops to get them replaced. But it was done and now I'm happy.

    Well, this will likely be the car I buy next, someday (when its used, mind you.) I only hope it will measure up to my Electra, Park Avenue, LeSabres, and Lucerne.
    But anyway, it sure is nice to see the trishield colours back!

    They've made it look like any common Korean or Japanese sedan now. So many derivative styling cues. That information screen/vent combo design came straight out of the previous generation Genesis.

    Dear GM, how hard is it to put in some extra wiring and a couple of bulbs for rear amber turn signals? I hate the single bulb, running light, parking brake, turn signal configuration. The chinese market have them, why not here!?

    Y'all joke about Buick but I must say when it comes to ride and handling you have to give it to Buick. I'm 25 and I love the ride and comfort of Buick. A lot of people talk shit about Buick because they can't afford it. They are not bad at all and can compete with any brand in a particular segment. The only thing about this is its kind of aged already especially since the impala and Malibu already has this platform already. I think Buick waited to late to bring it into production because the impala debuted in 2013 fall as a 14 model so that's why this seems old looking. Buick is also promoting old tech.i mean all the tech on a Buick even this model is like year or two ago but I must say the little things that Buick does as far as the soft touch, comfortable ride, quite tuning, making sure the components are solid like the armrest, glove box etc really keeps this brand alive because everything else is always out dated.

    American cars had curves long before Hyundai knew how to build a reliable vehicle. Does it look similar? Sure. But who had it decades ago first? I personally like it and I am 37. I am actually debating paying more on my truck each month to get it paid off faster so I can get one of these in Dark Forest Green!

    People, still will never shake the perception about Buick people for old people, but I was THIS close to getting a Buick Regal, one of the most nimble cars out there---right there with the smaller Verano as well. Buick is a much more robust company out there and younger people should really take another look and not scoff at looking different.

    This car is what Hyundai Azera (2011) should become. The overall shape is the same, the lines are based on today's best creations. The rear lights remind the charm of Citroën DS5. The interior seems to have materials as good the C and E Class.
    In fact, Buick rescued the charm left behind in early 1990's.

    Is This car built on the same Chassis as the Chevy SS as in RWD? If so a v8 version would be Incredible.

    • @missingremote4388
      @missingremote4388 8 лет назад

      +Lawrence Eich Not sure about the chassisbut, the Buick will have all wheel drive as an option in 2017.

    • @blankerism
      @blankerism 8 лет назад

      +Lawrence Eich sadly no. The Chevy SS sits on a platform that GM developed with their Australian brand named Holden. Since GM is shutting down their factories in Australia, the platform that the Chevy SS sits on, the Zeta platform as it is called, it will soon be discontinued as its life cycle comes to an end. The previous Generation Camaro also used that platform as well. Since that chassis is being phased out, GM decided to switch the Camaro to their new platform dubbed Alpha, which is used by Cadillac for their ATS and CTS. The Lacrosse sits on the same platform that underpins the Impala, Malibu and the modified Cadillac XTS..........all of which are front wheel drive cars.

    • @terrencet202
      @terrencet202 8 лет назад

      +blankerism exactly but i think this lacrosse is on a modified (longer wheelbase) version of the impala and cadillac platform

    • @blankerism
      @blankerism 8 лет назад

      Rell Rell I'd say you're right about it being on a modified longer wheelbase. Actually I was watching another video review on the Lacrosse and the journalist asked a GM executive about specs, such as the length and wheelbase, and the executive said those details wouldn't be released yet. But I'd say its safe to assume that it is longer being that the Impala and the previous Lacrosse sat on a 111 inch wheel base, where as the new Malibu sits on a stretched wheel base going from 107 inches to 111 inches. So naturally I'd say you're right to assume as I am thinking the same thing that Lacrosse would have to go longer and larger in wheel base and over all length of the car as these cars, Impala and Lacrosse, are full size sedans meant to sit above the Malibu.

    Really hate the new trend of congesting the front row with a huge and tall center column. What's the point of these almost shoulder high column that divides the driver and front passenger so deliberately , it almost seems like one of them have a contagious disease or something. Bench seats were the best. Always made the cars look wide open and airy. I hope this trend dies so we can squeeze one more friend in.

    Why don't they just do away with the tires and let it ride on the rims? It looks like there's only about 2 1/2 inches of sidewall, and these are the small rims. Do people who buy LaCrosse's want a canyon carver or a cruiser, which is what most driving is unless you're in the city. In snow states the roads can be rough, with big pot holes which could be hard on these tires and suspension. This car would probably be terrible on snowy roads as well. It is a pretty car though.

    I own a 2014 Impala, so I'll say I'm flattered. One of the reasons I love the 2014 impala vs 2014 lacrosse is because it looked sleeker and longer, even thought they're about the same size. Also I hated that Buick's center stack looked so cheap & cluttered with big plastic button as opposed to the Impala's simple & more sectioned off look and digital climate read outs. This definitely looks better and more luxurious inside and out than the Impala, but it's obvious it was inspired by it's younger sibling.

      +prl08 actually the difference in size is about 5 to 7 inches in length between the Impala and Lacrosse, which means the weight can be significant as well. Not sure what the new dimensions are on this new Lacrosse.

    I love to look at this car but I don't understand why car models keep getting bigger and bigger. if you look at a Buick LaCrosse from say 2004 or something it looks like a compact car compared to today. Why don't manufacturers stick with the same size platform?? why over the past 15 years if a manufacturer introduces a model 15 years later that model is like 33% bigger than the original model? This looks like it should be today's Lucerne. I know they don't make that anymore but imagine is a Nissan Sentra was now the size of the Maxima..

    The headlamps remind me of a Subaru Legacy....

    I think we saw here the upcoming 2017 Opel Insignia. The Taillights clearly are inspired by the new Opel Astra and the Headlights are looking just as the one from the current Insignia which can optionaly be upgraded to the new Matrix LED Light. Look closely at the spyphotos of the 2017 Insignia and you will become impressed. Little sidefact: The Buick Regal (GS) is a 1 to 1 copy of the current Insignia. Typical for GM, they take everything that has been build by Opel and give it to Vauxhall and other GM Brands to save Money... And now Opel is drowning... I hate GM for that.

    Sooo, this is gonna be called the Opel/Vauxhall Insignia in Europe?

    • @CDTbossy
      @CDTbossy 8 лет назад +2

      +Paul Hojda This is way bigger than the insignia, probably a new name if they sell it in EU which I highly doubt. Big cars only sell in USA, Middle East and China.

      Sabel Tann True, but it does seem to have a good amount of Opel design language. So it could be a good indicator to what the next Insignia will look like.

    reminds me of a Chrysler 200 in the rear, but yeah... I can see some Hyundai in the swoops.

      +TheLifeOnHigh it uses the same platform as the Impala. I haven't had a good look at the Lacrosse but it might. The Impala, Malibu, Regal, Lacrosse, and Caddy's XTS all use the same platform, called Epsilon

    The outside says Buick Century (2005) mixed with Chevy Impala (2015) with some modifi-somethings, but the inside is a different story entirely. I like the exterior on the MKZ far better. Maybe if Lincoln and Buick coordinated, there's be a world beater in the luxury world. As far as Lexus setting the bar, I have no idea why anyone would buy anything in their current line-up - it's so bloody ugly inside and out.
    Was hoping for more from Buick ...like the Avenir itself. Put that baby on the road and I'm in for sure.

    It looks old man still. Lincoln, Cadi, Chrysler have a more modern fresh approach, Buick missed the mark unless their demographic is still 60+ in which case its fantastic. Gramps would love it.

      +OldsmobileMatt 420 From what I understand, its so that your not close to the road if you need to pull over for an emergency and sometimes if fits better when the engineers run the exhaust pipe.

      +dee k I really don't see a problem with it, just gotta get used to stopping at the gas pump differently. Also, like Cartez said, great for safety.

      ***** I've had a car with the gas tank on the passenger side b4...and I remember when ppl started going crazy for gas when the prices dropped a couple of years ago after being around 4 dollars a gallon, it was hell on earth for me to get to a gas pump because I was the only idiot going in the opposite as everyone else because my gas tank was on the opposite side...plus u have to walk all the way to the other side of the car when u get out to pump gas...an unnecessary hassle

    • @TheRuneChemist
      @TheRuneChemist 8 лет назад

      dee k I don't have much trouble in my Regal, then again it probably depends on where you live to be honest. Living in a crowded city might make it a little more inconvenient, but my gas station is usually empty and I can pull up to the pump without having to turn around. To each their own though I guess.
