Seeing how inconsistent Beskar is really makes you appreciate some of the stuff in John Wick. When something is established to be bulletproof, it stays bulletproof and only gets the wearer killed when they're shot somewhere it doesn't protect.
It was stupid for Baby Yoda to ride the robot like a mech. I consider it a downgrade because he can no longer fly and he has no protection since he is exposed in the chest area and can't hide and close his pod. Not to mention he moves slower in it. Instead of getting that dumb robot mech, they should have just upgraded his pod by slapping a few guns on it and giving Baby Yoda a system that allows him to talk. they put baby yoda into the mech for the exact same reason why they shoehorned him back into the show in the first place. to sell merchandise. this is literally his only purpose on the show now. show up for 5 minutes every episode, do some random shit with some item in his hand or in a new vehicle for disney to sell a new line of toys they can make out of it. the show was too successful for its own good. kathleen kennedy and disney marketing obviously latched onto it like parasites and took control over the creative decisions. show is dead. at least for me.

You do have to wonder what happened behind the scenes between season 2 and 3, end of season 2 sets up djin to be the new mandalore with him winning the dark saber and now free of looking after grogu. Now he just sorta steps aside for no real reason for a character he barely knows. Feels like he went from a badass space cowboy to barnacle boy levels of sidekick.
Djin's character never wanted to be the mandalore tho, the only reason he won the darksaber was because he wanted to save grogu so it makes sense for him to give it up

They cheapened Paz's sacrifice, and the integrity of his comrades when they made his final stand last so long. If he was the equal of about 10 super-commandos, they could have just held the choke point together, killed the super-commandos in about a 10th of the time with no losses.
I think the biggest problem is the lack of any interesting combat. John wick taught us that you dont need to write Shakespeare in order to keep an audiences attention. This show gives almost all mandalorian jetpacks. And now their primary enemy has them. Yet for some reason the showrunners cant think if any interesting fight scenes where people fly. Even george lucas let jango fet fly when fighting obi wan. They dont even have the excuse of going to ground for better cover, their beskar is the ultimate protection. Nope, these goons just land on the ground. They never use their jetpacks to get out of a sticky situation or to gain a higher advantage in a gunfight, or for midair dueling. Just the same combat again and again. If they had combat that would hold the attention of the audience, their shitty dialogue and story would be criticized a lot less.
The shot at 10:36 is really bad as well, like they should be gunning them down, not lightly jogging a few meters behind them as if they're on the beach.

Its undeniable that Season 3 has been screwed over by KK and now has her stinky political mitts all over it now. That being said I actually enjoyed episode 7. Of the few episodes that were decent this season 7 was one of them. I am pretty sure KK is going to screw this show even more by killing off Din or making him into a non protagonist while making Bo Katan the new star of the show. I blame KK for all of it.
For me Star Wars peaked in 2005 with episode III revenge of the Sith and Star Wars battlefront 2. I miss the early 2000s when Star Wars was still great.
I thought this episode was better than the last one which was absolute trash. This episode tried to hit the mark with a darker tone like Andor, but disney keeps watering everything down. The problems with this episode were that the beskar made it seem like everyone was playing laser tag, so there wasn't much of any real threat most of the time. Not enough of the good guys die. And when they do die, like mr gatling gun guy, the impact is so minimal. We never see his face, and he has very limited screen time, we never really get a backstory from him, he was basically a redshirt the entire time, but they acted like he was some kind of main character like we just witnessed the death of dumbledore or something. The beginning scene with the cyberpunk vibes was interesting, but to me it feels like what their doing is just taking flavors that are strong and potent and just adding it to their watered down universe thinking that they can extract the potency from the source vibes when all it does is make it just different flavored water soup. I will say the bad guy from breaking bad is always decent, I like his acting, but they never make him enough of a threat. Thats the biggest reason star wars sucks lately, like in the new trilogy, the bad guys are always talked about off screen as this unstoppable force but on screen they always suck and are bumbling clowns. The stakes are never really high in any of these shows, and I never feel like I'm on the edge of my seat, I always know the good guys will win in the end, and the main characters are protected due to being integral to the story. Disney really dropped the ball with firing the game of thrones writers, because star wars definitely needs a healthy dose of dark grittiness.
Back in season 2 Beskar was completely lightsaber resistant. Now apparently it’s completely useless against them? It’s kinda like the writers are told what needs to happen, then they write the episodes without any knowledge of what has already happened.

If Beskar is actually terrible all along, Mando shouldve died ages ago. If you say that the Praetorians just happened to have a weapon that beats Beskar, ill remind you that Paz just shot down tons of Beskar wearing opponents with a gun. If Beskar is all powerful, not only should Paz be alive still but that entire last part of the episode should just be the good guys and bad guys shooting each other for hours to no avail.

Too many content creators who bashed Episode 1-6 (rightfully) suddenly made a u-turn because they were blinded by "MUH GIDEON MOFF BLACK ARMOR!" but luckily u saw past all the flashes (I mean, credits to Giancarlo Esposito for the awesome scenes there but yea)

The third season is also copying the second in that you have almost comically invincible beskar-enhanced Mandalorian(s) rendered vulnerable during the finale because of a bunch of mini-bosses that are able to deal with it. I would have just had Mando lose most of his armour so that the show could have stakes again.

To anyone out there creating or thinking of creating their own world. Despite how hard Disney writers make it look. Creating a world that is logical consistent, has fun filled plot and has lovable characters is easier than it looks. Hell even the most basic story telling devices beat anything Disney tries to create with the attitude of constantly trying to subvert expectations. No writer wants to subvert a readers expectations they want to go beyond them.
I think that as your fictional world grows more and more like star wars for example it will eventually have inconsistencies regardless, especially since this is not made by 1 person but an entire team. A team that will change as years go by bringing new people in and having others leave, it’s impossible to keep up with all the lore etc.. just enjoy star wars for what it is.. mindless entertainment. You have to look past things that don’t make sense and just shut your brain off for a moment. i do that with star wars and i enjoy pretty much all the shows and movies because of it. It’s fiction after all not a movie about ww2 or something like that.

I cannot believe what they did to this show. Mando has become a weak cockroach simp who needs constant saving. I was actually rooting for the storm troopers towards the end and wanted them to overcome and kill the mandos starting with Bokatan which says everything.

Its undeniable that Season 3 has been screwed over by KK and now has her stinky political mitts all over it now. That being said I actually enjoyed episode 7. Of the few episodes that were decent this season 7 was one of them. I am pretty sure KK is going to screw this show even more by killing off Din or making him into a non protagonist while making Bo Katan the new star of the show. I blame KK for all of it.

I thought this episode was better than the last one which was absolute trash. This episode tried to hit the mark with a darker tone like Andor, but disney keeps watering everything down. The problems with this episode were that the beskar made it seem like everyone was playing laser tag, so there wasn't much of any real threat most of the time. Not enough of the good guys die. And when they do die, like mr gatling gun guy, the impact is so minimal. We never see his face, and he has very limited screen time, we never really get a backstory from him, he was basically a redshirt the entire time, but they acted like he was some kind of main character like we just witnessed the death of dumbledore or something. The beginning scene with the cyberpunk vibes was interesting, but to me it feels like what their doing is just taking flavors that are strong and potent and just adding it to their watered down universe thinking that they can extract the potency from the source vibes when all it does is make it just different flavored water soup. I will say the bad guy from breaking bad is always decent, I like his acting, but they never make him enough of a threat. Thats the biggest reason star wars sucks lately, like in the new trilogy, the bad guys are always talked about off screen as this unstoppable force but on screen they always suck and are bumbling clowns. The stakes are never really high in any of these shows, and I never feel like I'm on the edge of my seat, I always know the good guys will win in the end, and the main characters are protected due to being integral to the story. Disney really dropped the ball with firing the game of thrones writers, because star wars definitely needs a healthy dose of dark grittiness.

If Beskar is actually terrible all along, Mando shouldve died ages ago. If you say that the Praetorians just happened to have a weapon that beats Beskar, ill remind you that Paz just shot down tons of Beskar wearing opponents with a gun. If Beskar is all powerful, not only should Paz be alive still but that entire last part of the episode should just be the good guys and bad guys shooting each other for hours to no avail.

The whole Jack Black & Lizzo thing is insane. This show has dropped off a cliff to a crazy degree. I never got into Mando really, i liked the first episode of season 1 but I lost interest quick. But the clips I've seen of the JB and Lizzo ep was like I was having a stroke, it's simply not the same show I started watching the tone is completely different. Its insanely bad
I like this season so far lmao, most people only liked season 2 coz Luke was in it. This season is fresh and different, bo katan is great, and I’m glad they’re building it into the new trilogy of films.

Whoa finally I see a honest review about this episode. Too many content creators who bashed Episode 1-6 (rightfully) suddenly made a u-turn because they were blinded by "MUH GIDEON MOFF BLACK ARMOR!" but luckily u saw past all the flashes (I mean, credits to Giancarlo Esposito for the awesome scenes there but yea)

The third season is also copying the second in that you have almost comically invincible beskar-enhanced Mandalorian(s) rendered vulnerable during the finale because of a bunch of mini-bosses that are able to deal with it. I would have just had Mando lose most of his armour so that the show could have stakes again.

To anyone out there creating or thinking of creating their own world. Despite how hard Disney writers make it look. Creating a world that is logical consistent, has fun filled plot and has lovable characters is easier than it looks. Hell even the most basic story telling devices beat anything Disney tries to create with the attitude of constantly trying to subvert expectations. No writer wants to subvert a readers expectations they want to go beyond them.
I think that as your fictional world grows more and more like star wars for example it will eventually have inconsistencies regardless, especially since this is not made by 1 person but an entire team. A team that will change as years go by bringing new people in and having others leave, it’s impossible to keep up with all the lore etc.. just enjoy star wars for what it is.. mindless entertainment. You have to look past things that don’t make sense and just shut your brain off for a moment. i do that with star wars and i enjoy pretty much all the shows and movies because of it. It’s fiction after all not a movie about ww2 or something like that.

How am I supposed to follow a story when I turn my brain off? And just because it’s fiction, doesn’t mean it can’t be consistent. Consistency is what makes a world believable. If anything happens at random that contradicts something from before or another thing that was established, it would break continuity.
