The Long Summer (1993) was a six-part series on Britain between the wars narrated by Alan Bennett. In this episode, entitled 'The Facts', the work of a generation of writers, journalists, photographers, artists and filmmakers who set out to document what they believed to be the facts about life in industrial Britain is examined.
