2:16 this is what I needed for my way above my knowledge base. Knitting a 5 foot tall Christmas Tree for my trailer. We camp during Christmas and wanted a flat tree on the bathroom door. Seeing the knitting 3 was just what I needed if I try to do in one piece. Or I can do my sections individually and sew them together. (Which would be easier) using US 50 needles and a chunky velvet yarn. 🧶 😊
I am watching this video after getting to the end of the knitted heart tutorial on your website. I want to a centered knit three together. I used my new chiaogoo needles and it turns out really well, with very minimal holes when compared to your work. I've been knitting for a week. :)

Bit k3tog using your second method is just the look that is needed in this pattern and am so relieved you've delivered a dummy-proof explanation on how to do it. Thank you!
So glad I found this tutorial. My current project has multiple k3tog in the pattern. The yarn I’m using is not only slippery but splits easily also. This has made my knitting so much easier and saved a lot of annoyances. Thank you for sharing 😊
well...knitting symbols are all over the place. There should be a legend...but different designers use the same symbol for different decreases. THe "broom shape" is typically the centered double decrease...but well...
I am a new knitter and so glad I found your site! I have a question I think is related to this video. In the beanie hat I am trying (haha) to make, it states: K3 tog, do not drop loops. YO, then knit 3 tog again. Drop all loops from the left needle. Three stitches gives you 3 stitches. The row before this has 60 stitches and this row should also have 60 stitches. I am clueless about how to knit 3 together and not drop the three I have knitted through. Do you have any ideas or videos about how this is done?
Hi Norman..sorry.. I couldn't find where to ask advice...may i please? my pattern for a racerback tank knit bottom up has decreases in the section between waist and the hem,..the decreases are leaning toward the side seams. is this correct? i thought the were supposed to lean toward center front on front and center back on back? thought? yeah..k3tog can be tough with splitty yarn and slightly less sharp needles. glad you found this tutorial helpful, Debbie

i have no video. But you might look up kyok (knit yarn over knit). It sounds like it is a similar technique :)
