Sorry, I should have mentioned but it was ¥41,000 for two, overnight stay with dinner and breakfast. The onsen access was included in the price. The private onsens were on a first come first serve basis, and also included in the price. There were 2 private rooms available. Since its a private onsen, there was no issue with me and wife going together; we saw other tourists do the same. When we stayed, one was always available. The public onsens (separated by gender) were also very nice. It was our first and only ryokan stay in our trip, but we enjoyed. I'm not sure how COVID has changed onsens in Japan, something worth looking up if you plan on visiting.
I’m researching ryokans as I’m designing one for my garden! Love the spatial relationship of architecture to scenery.
Yes, it definitely was extremely peaceful and pleasing to walk through. Glad this is helpful to you. Best of luck!
JayWhy thank you!
Was it ¥41000 per person or for two people? Did you pay extra to go to the private onsen?
