I think I honestly appreciate this song even more after watching your reaction. Also I absolutely live for the face people make when the guy takes her hat off her head, lmao. Actually it just now occurred to me that there may be a double meaning there bc she makes all her hats, so it's kinda like the guy stealing a part of her, which I'm sure is how she's been made to feel by men in the past (1:5 confirms this I would say). I also absolutely love Fingers Live, Elements (which is a lyric video but kinda not really, you'll see if you do it), and Cut You Off. I don't have MF Diamond on my playlist but the video is fire so I'd suggest that also.
Chinchilla is massively underrated. She's genuinely world class as a vocalist, she makes a lot of her own outfits, creates the videos, and she's a true performer. She's definitely the female Ren. And that's not a comparison for the sake of it, it's high praise.

If I recall correctly, CHINCHILLA has said she discussed the song's concept amongst others she had been working on with her previous label but the label were seeking a more specific genre, so they parted on mutual terms and CHINCHILLA release the song independently instead.
I don't think it is she wrote this while she was with the label and they didn't want her to use it they said it wouldn't work so she finally got rid of them and put it out herself. She said in an interview it's about her not being a people pleaser anymore which can still be directed towards them but wasn't originally. I am pretty sure Cut You Off is about them though.

To my mind, it tells the story of working in the 'saloon', where the staff are trying to rule the roost over the talent (the Eddie Scissornails character), and how CHINCHILLA resolved to go her own way. Another talent appear briefly (the character peeking from behind hair blinds) and CHINCHILLA's works with them to craft new peeks (blood tipped in the video from her efforts), other characters seem to portray CHINCHILLA's emotional intelligence (the red Queent of Hearts/Handmaiden character), her memories/thoughts/feelings (the white CHINIONs) and her interlect (the white trenchcoat Dexter character, with neuron nails set inside a brain disecting thoughts and emotions). The 'now you know' look of the hatted narrator character at the end seems to indicate resolution. There are two parties in the saloon, and given outside talent this suggests it may reflect shared management rather than the label, but as only one of the saloon characters reacts to the other talent appearing it could be both label and management being represent or a generalised viewpoint on such.

The studio/official video version portrays the self-assured rageful anger of becoming a person able to face the perpetrator who caused harm. Whilst the live version seems to reflects the more comtemplative anger at needing to become a new person, reflecting on having been faced with a situation at having had to let go at the 'litte girl'.
