I’m glad you mentioned how much prep goes into sweeping and mopping the whole house. I feel like we often guilt ourselves when watching cleaning videos because it seems so “simple” to just clean the floors and it’s easy to ignore the fact that you have to pick up soooo much and move so much to even get to the sweeping and mopping point. I’m trying to psych myself up cause my floors are filthy from the rain we’ve had this week and the kids tracking mud in 😅
I’ve taught my son and my daughter to cook, clean, do laundry, all of the things. It’s really paid off. They are both amazing adults with real life skills. And both are amazing parents as well. Praying your son feels better soon❤ Thanks for all of the real life motivation 🎄
YES 👏🏼 on teaching them to know how to do things on their own. Mine are 15 & 17, know how to clean bathrooms, wash dishes, laundry, etc & even cook a few basic things. I told my daughter when I was 18 & moved w daddy, I didn’t know how to make SPAGHETTI 😂 she was like HOW?! I said you know bc I taught you, not everyone has that. Anyways just wanted to say I love that. They are pretty self sufficient & I know when they go into the world on their own, they’ll be ok so keep it up girly! Also as a teacher - I love when I see parents just let their kids have some independence- it makes a huge difference!! Good for you!
Great motivation as usual! You are absolutely right about raising self sufficient, respectful and well rounded children. I so wish there were more young parents like you. Far too many are raising their “BFF’s”. Lol. They don’t seem to understand they are responsible for the way the kids turn out. It’s important for them to learn to do things on their own and will learn by example. It is frustrating when you want things a certain way and they do it the best they can for their ages. We always had a saying in our home.... there is clean and then there is mommy clean. Big difference. I always tried to respect anything they did to clean up after themselves because whether it was done my way or not, they did take the time to do it.

There is a mopping hack that mimics the new O'Cedar mop, if you want to try it. You place a bucket in the water reservoir and fill it with your water, soap, etc. You dip your mop in that instead of the water reservoir so that you're not re-using dirty water. You're still dipping a dirty mop into clean water but the theory is that you're not reusing water that's continually becoming more dirty with each dip. I've tried it; it works pretty good. Not sure it will replace my regular routine. You go thru the water quicker. Great video as always. Thanks for the motivation.

They fastened then resurrected tree to the wall with either monofilament or florist wire or what 😮 not. Sometimes we are just done. I have the new ocedar mop and I love it... I know on the helping hands thing you were talking about it still rinsing in the clean water but you are supposed to use the spinner thing before you put it back in the clean water. With me working so much I'm not always able to mop the house and I've taught my husband and my kids how to use it properly and it helps me feel like the house may actually be clean. It is an extra step but it saves my sanity on those weeks that I can't get the job done myself.
A hack to the new mop is to get a small waste basket and put it in the area where the water goes. Fill the waste basket with your cleaning mixture. Then use as you would normally. THAT is exactly what the new O'Cedar mop does! Don't waste the money on it.
kudos to you for teaching your kids to be self sufficient. It is such a necessary lesson for them. My kids learned, very young, how to change their own sheets and make their beds. They were required to make their beds every day, wasn't always pretty but they were made. They had to put their dishes in the dishwasher, didn't mean I did not rearrange it before running but they put their dishes in. The "scraps" in the sink would drive me nuts, so I feel you there. My pet peeve is people putting food down the disposal and not running it, sends me off every time. I agree with the dog food, vacuum it up and throw it out. I would not give it back to a pet. ❤ when I clean my room I always clean it 1 a week, just to make it easier or me to still help my mom and take care of my pets. We just clean it 1 a week since we aren't the once making the mess but our dogs do in just a few days. ❤❤

One banana bread loaf for Christmas breakfast baked and in the freezer. I will make the other items for breakfast the night before Christmas morning . I just need to bake two pies, one cake, and dinner rolls. Make deviled eggs & pasta salad the day before. I will do my Ham the morning of Christmas. Little Miss Hi😊. Can you please come up with a cleaning instruction book? (i.e What products for each job, frequency, etc) my ADHD loves watching you change a space but when I try to do it myself without having been taught proper cleaning in my youth, I struggle to get started ! Everything feels so overwhelming!

I couldn't get use to the new o cedar mop. I have the original one and love it. The new one I use when I cleaned a house for free they had it with a new mop head but I had to fill the bucket up again half way thru
I love pine sol too. I put it in the laundry sometimes and it makes the whole condo smell amazing. I also do what you do by using the kettle to boil water. It is quicker than boiling it on the stove. Great minds think alike. LOL
You had me at large dogs... so I have 4 - one is a German Shepherd... so I know the pain of the tumbleweed fur... tell me about your cordless vacuum. How does it do with the dog fur and how often do you use it? I had a corded Shark stick vacuum and the motor gave out with in a year...
I ordered the Dyad and it's expected to be here on the 22nd...I'm excited! I have arthritis and carpal tunnel in my hands/wrists, so I hope not lugging a heavy upright vac will be a step in the right direction.
With your mopping mixture, can you use liquid Tide in place of powdered? We have dogs to clean up after too and this method looks great. You guys have done such a wonderful job on your home. It is beautiful and so cozy for the holidays.
I just saw a quick commercial for a rug you put in front of the door(it’s especially made for wet dog and kids feet). It’s supposed to help dry their feet. Maybe someone else has seen the name….It sounds like when Bjorn gets sick, his whole immune system is attacked. I know a lot of people who automatically give their kids elderberry syrup in the winter. It is supposed to help to build their immune system. You can get it at a health food store. I have even seen recipes for it on line.
Oh that's what I do! My family is always like you need to spend time with your kids instead of cleaning all the time, but I do half hour or less than relax hang with the kids and then get back to doing something and blah blah blah, than nap time I'm cuddled on the couch with them. My house gets cleaned plus I spend time with my kids.

I couldn't get use to the new o cedar mop. I have the original one and love it. The new one I use when I cleaned a house for free they had it with a new mop head but I had to fill the bucket up again half way thru

I love pine sol too. I put it in the laundry sometimes and it makes the whole condo smell amazing. I also do what you do by using the kettle to boil water. It is quicker than boiling it on the stove. Great minds think alike. LOL

You had me at large dogs... so I have 4 - one is a German Shepherd... so I know the pain of the tumbleweed fur... tell me about your cordless vacuum. How does it do with the dog fur and how often do you use it? I had a corded Shark stick vacuum and the motor gave out with in a year...

With your mopping mixture, can you use liquid Tide in place of powdered? We have dogs to clean up after too and this method looks great. You guys have done such a wonderful job on your home. It is beautiful and so cozy for the holidays.
I just saw a quick commercial for a rug you put in front of the door(it’s especially made for wet dog and kids feet). It’s supposed to help dry their feet. Maybe someone else has seen the name….It sounds like when Bjorn gets sick, his whole immune system is attacked. I know a lot of people who automatically give their kids elderberry syrup in the winter. It is supposed to help to build their immune system. You can get it at a health food store. I have even seen recipes for it on line.
Do you leave on calming dog TV on for your dogs while you’re gone? It helps my dogs.

We have great danes, and they are super messy eaters aswell. I just vacuum it up too.
Oh that's what I do! My family is always like you need to spend time with your kids instead of cleaning all the time, but I do half hour or less than relax hang with the kids and then get back to doing something and blah blah blah, than nap time I'm cuddled on the couch with them. My house gets cleaned plus I spend time with my kids.
